Back in March of 2011 I wrote a short story entitled JUDY'S STORY. It is posted here on Wattpad and had been posted on another writing site, a site I had first posted to which unfortunately no longer exists. JUDY'S STORY has and had received a number of comments between both sites relating to the fact that it could quite easily become something much longer. Thinking about it, I had to agree that there could be a lot more that can be done with it.

I am and always will be a short story guy though the longer story are coming from me is with more frequency as time goes on so I thought, why not extend this original short story? There were so many thoughts and ideas on where this story could possibly go that I had looked forward to getting stuck into the project. However it took much longer than I had anticipated to get it to a complete tale.

Efforts to begin extending the story began on June of 2016 though every once in a while another story would take my attention away from this one. Eventually and during March of 2020 I managed to bring this tale to an end where it sat for a while at just under 40,000 words. During August of 2022 I revisited the story once more and extended it by a further 2,000 words.

Now, I believe the story is done, or is a done as it is ever gonna be and I am delighted at the fact that I decided to write a longer version.

JUDY'S STORY is now set to become ORDINARY WORLD - Judy Lester is a young girl who feels lost and alone, so much so that she retreats so deeply into the fictional world of a series of books that she follows. Her retreat actually takes her into that fictional world. She has lost hope with her regular life in her ordinary world.

What she does not realize is that her ordinary world is not as ordinary as it may seem. It holds so much for her but will she stick around long enough or return to her ordinary world long enough to find out just how extraordinary it can be?
