~Chapter One~
The sun shone softly through Jesse's bedroom window, the light falling on her face.
The door opened, Lukas poking his head through.
"Uh... Jesse?"
Jesse turned her gaze from her book, tears in her eyes.
"What?" Croaked Jesse, thinking about her missing friends.
"She's... She's gone, too.. Olivia's gone, too..."
Lukas let this information sink in, remembering six months ago when Axel disappeared first.
Then Petra, three months ago
And now, Olivia.
They stood in awkward silence, thinking about what could possibly happen next.
(Lukas's POV)
Our friends... They're gone...
I looked at Jesse, her face wiped of any emotions.
She wasn't handling this too well...
I really hope this isn't my fault...
Our friends just... Disappeared...
"Jesse... I know you're-"
"Upset?!" She growled. "Angry?! I'm freaking out over my friends! They're... They're gone..."
"That's not true, Jesse.." I sighed, opening the door the rest of the way to walk inside. "They may still be out there..."
"But it's highly unlikely..." Huffed Jesse, pulling a fluffy blanket around her.
"But that doesn't mean-"
"JUST GO." She snarled, throwing a book at my face.
It hit me, causing my nose to bleed.
I looked at her, seeing the shock etched on her face.
"Fine." I muttered, wiping blood from my face. "I'll go."
I walked towards the wooden door, the tinted blue light falling on the white walls.
Even though I like Jesse... It doesn't mean she can't be unreasonable at times.
...
I was sitting in my room, reading.
The redstone lamp Olivia gave me glowing softly on the blank pages of my book.
It was eerily quiet, slightly scaring me.
Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Before I could see who it was, I was blindfolded.
"JESSE!" I screamed, scared of what would happen next.
(Jesse's POV)
Axel... Petra... And now, Olivia.
Is somebody kidnapping us?
If so, who?
I sat in the library, the soft glow from the torches illuminating the dark room.
I sipped my coffee, the warm mug making my trembling hands stop shaking.
Lukas.... I... I hurt him...
He had come to visit me earlier, and I threw a book at his face, causing his nose to bleed...
I haven't seen him since.
It was eerily quiet, the only sound I was hearing was the blood pounding in my ears.
I set down my mug, the coffee inside gone.
My eyelids felt heavy... If only I could just...
Lukas won't care if I sleep... I won't rest for long... I'll just close my eyes..
However, just as I had closed my eyes, they snapped open, screaming hitting my ears.
I shot up out of my chair, hearing the screams of Lukas.
"JESSE!" He screamed, my feet pounding in the floor. "JESSE HELP M-MMPH."
I ran for the empty rooms of the order, skidding to a stop at Lukas's room.
The moonlight shone through the windows, the walls of the room a soft orange color.
In the middle of it, were two figures.
Lukas, who was passed out on the floor, and a man in an Olive- green robe.
Was that.. No... It can't be. Ivor went to see Harper, there's no way he...
The man turned around, showing his face.
Pitch-black beard, shoulder-length hair, and dark brown eyes...
It was Ivor.
I looked down at Lukas's incapacitated body, seeing no blood.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO LUKAS?!" I snarled, lunging for Ivor.
My nails caught his face, and I kept going, clawing at his face.
"GET OFF ME YOU LITTLE-"
I punched Ivor in the face, remembering how Ivor was the one who released the witherstorm.
He was the one behind our friends disappearing.
Blood coated my hand, and I went for Ivor's eyes-
When I felt two pairs of hands hoist me up.
I thrashed around in their arms, Ivor getting up with haste.
His face covered in blood, he managed a toothy grin, blood staining his teeth.
I was dropped on the ground, and I looked up at the figures.
Looming over me, were my friends.
Axel, Petra, and Olivia.
"Guys..." I panted, trying to disguise my happiness. "I'm.. I'm so glad you're-"
"Shut up, Jesse." Snarled Axel, his harsh tone making me flinch.
Axel never talked to me like that.
I looked at my friends.
Something seemed... Off.
My friends glared at me, their faces wiped of emotions.
Every action seemed forced, like something...
Or someone...
Their eyes flashed red for a split second, so fast I started to question if I really saw it.
"Petra... Olivia- I-"
"It'd be best if you stayed quiet..." Purred Olivia, holding a vial of only black liquid. "It'll be over soon."
"WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU-"
Petra rammed her boot into my face, causing spots to appear on my vision.
The last thing I saw, was Olivia smashing the black potion on Lukas, and then my world went dark.
