Missing

The First Order walked out of the building together. The Order of the Diamond had gotten away from them, and they hadn't got the map back. They would need a new plan.

But Jesse and the others were nowhere to be seen.

"Jesse? Olivia? Where are you?" Ellegaard called.

Nothing.

"That's strange." Ivor's eyes searched the area. No Order.

"You don't suppose they left for their own temple?" Gabriel suggested.

"Maybe. We should check." Soren agreed.
___

"So, this time did you lose them?" Fionn, Eily's brother, raised an eyebrow. The whole Order of The Diamond were sitting on a rooftop. Fionn had red hair like his sister only curlier, and green, red and grey armour. He was a little shorter than the others.

"I did. Soren demanded for this back. But, we have it." Eily smiled and took out the map. It was in the form of a book, but it only had two widespread pages marking the entire world.

"The Order of the Stone... never thought we'd be dealing with those suckers again." Steven laughed. He had sandy styled hair, and he wore a dark bottle green coat with a yellow stripe on the chest and red trousers. "Too bad Magnus wasn't there. I'd like to sort him out in the Death Bowl." he added.

"Are you dense or something? Axel from the New Order is king there now." Eily reminded.

"'Dense isn't the word. More like oblivious." Steven's brother Jacob sighed. He also had sandy hair, but he wore a blue parka and black trousers. Also his eyes were blue, while Steven's were red-brown.

"Whatever." Steven sulked.

Chuchu dangled her legs from the edge, giggling as always. "Why are we always so competitive? Can't we just give them the map, and use it afterwards when they're finished?" she smiled.

"That's the dumbest thing I ever-" Steven quickly shut up when he saw Chuchu's hurt expression. She had that power over people. She charmed others, often unintentionally, to the point where you couldn't say a bad thing about her. Of course she didn't use this to her advantage. She didn't even know she was doing it...

"Well, the thing is they don't deserve it. They've had their fair share of adventures. It's time they gave us a shot." Eily sighed.

"Why are you so agitated by them though?" Chuchu asked curiously.

"You know why. Because he's... they're... agitating." Eily stumbled on her words.

"Well, at least we have the map. And soon the caskets." Fionn reminded.

"Right!" Eily's eyes lit up as she remembered what she wore around her neck. The necklace was empty for a reason. It's sphere shape was hollow because the jewel had to be found. There were nine other caskets, all with jewels in them. They had only found one, and it was purely accidental. Steven and Fionn were having a squabble in the Nether, and Fionn accidentally blew a piece of Netherrack open, revealing the necklace.

"Open it up!" Chuchu stood up and bounced over. They all watched as the pages were flipped open...
___

"Any sign of them?" Ivor asked later.

"Absolutely nothing. I looked everywhere." Ellegaard replied.

"Where did those kids go to?" Gabriel shook his head.

"You don't suggest something happened, do you?" Ivor said, concerned.

"Could have easily." Ellegaard said with slight alarm.

"But what could happen?" Soren wondered. "We should keep looking."

"Ow!" Ellegaard yelped as something hit her in the face.

A book.

As she got up, she picked it up and read it.

I have your friends.
If you want them back, then bring the       to me.

One of the words could not be read.

"A ransom note, no doubt." Gabriel said is dismay.

"What would they want for the Order? And who wrote this?" Soren mused.

"It wasn't the Diamond crew, was it?" Ivor frowned.

"If it was, then we need to find out. It's a shame Magnus isn't here... he was a good tracker." Ellegaard blushed. She squeezed the book to her chest and blinked away tears. She missed Magnus, badly.

"If I was a member of a team of copycat thieves, where would I be?" Soren thought.

Ellegaard became lost in her thoughts as the boys discussed what to do. She thought about Magnus. Even though he drove her crazy, it was a good crazy. He annoyed her like mad, but sometimes he was cute... and even sincere. Ellie smiled as she remembered when he had the occasional emotional lapse if he was worried about them, like if they disappeared and he began to fear for their safety. Those were one of the moments he was cute. And then he would hug you when he knew you were safe, feel embarrassed, then back away blushing and denying his feelings. Ellie didn't realise she was looking completely love-struck in front of the others. They stared at her, while she daydreamed.

"Ellegaard?" Gabriel waved his hand in front of her face.

She yiped and jumped, then gave an embarrassed blush.

"Are you OK?" Ivor asked, suspicious.

"I'm... I'm fine." Ellie said quickly, and pretended to be interested in something else.

But I can't distract myself from how I feel.

Soren shrugged. He left Ellegaard to her fantasizing.
___

Jesse blinked.

Oh my head. Where are we now? she thought.

She tried to get up, but she couldn't move. She then realised to her horror that she was tied up.

"Jesse!" Lukas hissed next to her.

"Lukas! Why are we whispering super-loudly?" Jesse whispered back.

"I don't know. But this isn't good!" Lukas said anxiously.

"Zip it, Order." a voice commanded.

"Hey you're not the boss of us! Show yourself!" Jesse cried.

"Jesse...?" Olivia yawned. She woke up with the others.

A blonde woman wearing a red trench coat down to her knees and long red high-heeled boots came out of the shadows of the prison.

"The Order Of The Stone. Some of the Overworld's mightiest heroes... all locked up here in my laboratory. My name is Professor C. Maire, but you can call me Camilla. And you are my prisoners." the scientist was twirling a needle in her hand, two goons behind her. She had her nose turned up in amusement, and her sharp grey eyes looked down on them like peasants.

"You can't keep us here!" Axel tried to snap the ropes holding him back.

"Don't bother. They're reinforced, you know. With metals that are harder to find than you would find them to pronounce." Camilla snapped her fingers. Suddenly the henchman behind her grabbed Olivia and Petra.

"Hey! Release them before I go crazy on you!" Axel said aggressively, his face clouded with rage.

"No. You see, I need test subjects. A group of them escaped a while ago. I need them back. What's the best way to do that? Put lives on the line." Camilla shrugged like it was nothing.

"But why us?" Lukas asked.

"I'm glad you questioned. The group that evaded my clutches may seem rough around the edges, but if someone else was in danger..." Camilla grabbed Olivia's arm and rolled up her sleeve.

"What are you doing to her?!" Axel cried in alarm.

"This won't hurt a bit. It will hurt a lot." Camilla laughed cruelly. Olivia let out a scream as the needle went into her arm, containing a black liquid. It went into her veins, and the girl suddenly collapsed on the ground. The others were desperate to help their teammate, but whatever material reinforced the ropes was very tough.

Petra was shoved forward as well. This time Camilla had a grey liquid with blue, red and green flecks in it within the needle. It went into her arm, through her bloodstream, and instead of fainting Petra went rigid and emotionless.

"Go. Get what I need. But before you do, make sure there's no chance of escape." Camilla exited the room, then locked the Order inside.

Jesse, Axel and Lukas stared horrified at what happened next.
