He was still indigo, for all the traits he held counter reacted with one another.

He was thoughtful, but with that came being judgemental. He was creative and perceptive, but with that came a sense of narrow-mindedness.

And that was nonetheless different when it came to his feelings towards Nari, if he could even call them feelings.

Upon meeting her properly, he observed many things about her, of course he would.

He saw what she appeared to be, versus what she was actually like, in such a short amount of time - and he didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing.

"Will your sister be there?" Jacob asks from across the table, snapping Kevin out of his thoughts.

"She might be," Sangyeon shrugs. "She might be out with Eric or something that night."

"She doesn't bother us anyway," Kevin butts in, looking at the boys who sat at the table. "Right, guys?"

"She really doesn't," Jacob nods in agreement, knocking Kevin off of his high horse a little. "She barely came out of her room last time."

"I hope she doesn't again, it saves me having to scold Kevin for winking at my little sister," Sangyeon looks over at the boy who began to flush red a little.

The boy just chuckled as did the rest, but Kevin noticed the linger of a stare that came from Jacob, which after he was caught was followed by a warm smile.

The two weren't close, although they had a lot in common. And Nari was just one of those things.

"Nari, are you here?" Sangyeon shouts, hearing a loud thud upstairs as he rolled his eyes and dropped his head. "I take that as a yes."

The boys behind him laugh, taking off their shoes at the door as they followed the boy inside.

Kevin looked around the house, waiting for the pitter patter of the girls feet traipsing down the stairs, which was a sound he had only heard once before - but it seemed all too familiar, to Jacob too.

"What is it?" Her voice shouts as she exits her room, perking the attention of the two boys as she appeared half way down the stairs.

"We're playing some games in the living room," Younghoon answers for Sangyeon.

"So don't be annoying," her brother shouts from the room, making the girl roll her eyes and pull a face which he couldn't see, but made the boys laugh.

"Am I ever?" She asks innocently, pondering into the kitchen. "Do you guys want something?"

The girl looks over to see Kevin and Jacob standing at the doorway, their eyes following her every move. If she hadn't felt the flutter in her chest, she would have been freaked out.

But who exactly made her chest flutter? That was the problem. But deep down, she knew.

"No, I'm fine," Jacob says in between an awkward cough, glancing over at Kevin who looked between the two. "But thank you for offering, Nari."

"Not a problem," the girl throws him a smile. "Nice to see you again."

The boy grins, quickly bowing to the girl before turning to go to the living room after sparing one last thoughtful glance at her.

"Is a glass of water okay?" Kevin asks, breaking the silence.

"Of course," she smiles, fetching a glass and filling it as the boy simply stands there motionless. "Are you okay?"

"I am," he nods, lying, as the girl hands him the glass carefully. "I'm gonna go in, see what the fuss is about."

"There's no fuss," Nari says in confusion. "It's just some silly games."

"Right," the boy nods awkwardly, almost wanting to laugh at the uncomfortable state the two found themselves in. "Well, bye, Nari."

"Bye," she waves lightly, as the boy rushed off. She thought the situation was weird, he was never this awkward.

But truthfully, Kevin didn't feel awkward, he felt disengaged. He was so focused on the smiles Nari and Jacob threw at each other, how they looked at one another to even take notice to his surroundings.

He felt completely thrown off, and he couldn't explain why, no other explanation than - he liked her.

But he was critical of her. She had her pros and cons, and Kevin wished he could throw them to the side and forget about them, but he was Kevin - and that wouldn't happen.

"I'm going out," Nari shouts to the boys in the living room, as her brother turns to look at her. "Do any of you want anything from the store?"

"It's dark, why are you going out yourself?" Sangyeon asks, making Nari roll her eyes. He was protective, not overly, but still enough for it to be noticeable and annoy Nari - only because she was adamant she could take care of herself.

"It's barely pitch black," Nari points to the window. "And it's five minutes away, do you want anything?"

"If it doesn't trouble you, can I get a-"

"If you're going to ask her for stuff you might as well go with her," Sangyeon interrupts Jacob, who nods and stands as though he was ready to go.

This is what she meant. The type of brother who was protective about particular things, but wasn't about others. He would happily let his friend go out alone with his sister, but that was a trust thing.

"I'll go," Kevin says suddenly. "I'm wanting a couple of things anyway, it wouldn't be fair to ask either of you."

Sangyeon looked up at the boy, raising an eyebrow as Kevin nodded in reassurance at him. Since last time, he had an inkling that Kevin had something towards his sister.

He hardly knew the boy that well, but from what people told him - he wasn't a problem. Besides, he always thought Eric was a little shit, and they get on just fine.

"Sure," the brother eventually says. "I'll text you what I want."

Nari looks over to see Jacob looking at her, before he hung his head towards his chest. She felt bad at how Kevin interrupted him, but that probably derived more from the fact she wished to walk with him instead.

The two walked together, the night was peaceful and quiet, and not so cold. Nari's favourite kind of nights.

"Are you okay?" Nari turns to look at the boy who followed, sliding his feet off the ground as he walked with his head down.

"What do you mean?" Kevin asks somewhat innocently, looking up to her.

"You were pretty awkward earlier," Nari chuckles. "I was just wondering if things were okay between us."

"Between us?" He asks, followed by a light scoff. "You say that like there's something between us."

"A friendship, I would have thought," Nari snaps back. "But I guess not."

The girl continues to walk a little faster, leaving the boy trailing behind. She didn't know why he was being so uptight, or what his deal was. But she knew she was too headstrong to care, or to pay much mind.

She had considered him a friend, and that's what hurt her the most - not even the silly little crush on the intriguing boy, which faded so easily in a second.

It worried her that this was the case, how could she feel so temporarily? But who would be the one who wouldn't fade?

"Can you slow down?" Kevin asks, watching as the girl came to a halt. "I didn't mean it like that."

"What was your deal with Jacob?" She asks suddenly, making the boy look at her with surprised eyes followed by a light chuckle.

"What is that supposed to mean?" The boy sounded as though he was offended, when truly he was just flustered.

"You interrupted him, rudely may I add," she starts before walking again.

"I needed things, why shouldn't I have come with you?" He argues, following the girl as her eyes wandered across the street to the store.

"You shouldn't have came with me just to be rude to me," she turns to look at the boy. "I would have been better off coming alone."

"Don't be like that," he pleads, as the girl turned sharply on her knees again to cross over the road.

Nari simply ignores the boys calls from over the street, running across the road as the traffic quietened, yet Kevin waited for the lights. The boy tugged on his hair in frustration, watching as the girl neared closer to the entrance of the store.

"Nari, wait!" He shouts, although he was ignored again. The boy looks to his left and to his right, before deciding to make a run for it too. "Shit."

He jogs towards the girl, who was slowly nearing the entrance.

"I said wait," he pants, catching up with her finally as she turned to look at him, drawing her eyes off of him. "Why didn't you wait?"

The girl sighs, not in acceptance of defeat, but because part of her wanted to get on with Kevin Moon. "Look, what do you need from the st-"

"I was jealous of Jacob," Kevin admits suddenly, making Nari's face drop. "That's it. That's why I was weird, and I'm sorry."

"Jealous of what, exactly?" She asks, her face masked in confusion.

"I don't even know, that's the thing," he sighs, looking rather frustrated. "He seems to like you, you like him, I thought you liked me. I don't know, my head is a mess."

"I made you think that?" Nari tilts her head, feeling somewhat guilty - although she knew it was true.

"I know, I'm stupid," he rambles. "And all of this made me realise, maybe we're too different."

"What are you talking about?"

"I liked you, but now I'm not too sure, I only met you a handful of times - how could I really know?" The boy goes on, as Nari stares blankly at him. "You're confident, you're loud, your character is too different too min-"

"Please make those attributes sound like more of a burden," Nari interrupts him, sarcastically. "I did like you, Kevin. But you're right, we're too different."

"I didn't say that to offend you," he pleads, looking between her eyes, to which she simply ignored.

"I like Jacob," she admits, almost shocking herself as this was the first time she admitted it to herself. "And we've only met a handful of times, so how could I know, exactly? Well, he has been nothing but kind to me."

Kevin sighs, looking at the girls angry face. "I don't doubt that, Nari."

"Get your stuff and let's go," Nari changes the subject, sighing as she looked at the store doors. "I'll wait here."

Kevin sighs, glancing at the girls face before he accepted his defeat and walked inside the store. His heart didn't break like it expected, and he wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing.

All he did know, is that he wished he wasn't so indigo.
