OPR - 13
Hola my readers. Hope you are being positive and safe in these unpredictable cicumstances. I am also trying to adjust with the new routine of life. So here is a lil something to cheer you all.
As silence prevailed in the room Khushi Kumari Gupta tried to control the anger that was boiling within the confines of her mind. She had seen enough. She had tolerated enough. But not anymore thought the woman. Its time to make the Over Possessive Raizada see the error of his ways. So naturally, with a fierce look that surpassed her previous fears, Khushi stood up from her chair to face the CEO of AR.
You have no right to beat him. NO RIGHT. You cannot simply harm anyone who tries to be close to me Mr. Raizada!!
Khushi noticed how his intense gaze did not waver at all, despite of her Kaali avatar. As of her words made no difference to him at all. A simple blink of eyes was his only response. This alone irked Khushi Gupta.
Say something, will you?!? Answer me!!
Relax sweetheart. You have turned into a beetroot with all that...lividness.
And I have every right to act the way I did because no one can harm what's mine. Understood? Now, why don't we forget all this and...
Shut up. Just shut up. Are you INSANE?!? How can you ask me to forget what happened between you and Nanheji? You hurt him and in turn, you hurt me!
He advanced towards Khushi with an annoyed look but the lady was in no mood to entertain him this time. So she held up my hand to make him stop abruptly.
Khushi you are not in the mood to understand at all. So how do you expect me to justify my actions...if you are gonna act like this?
Picking up her bag and belongings from the table Ms. Gupta turned around to leave the conference room only to bang against a wall of flesh and muscles. Not again she mused when the familiar bronze hands steadied her.
Stop this childishness sweetheart. In the act of saving you your so-called new friend tried to get all touchy-feely with you. I witnessed the whole thing. So I am not wrong here.
Ripping his hands away from her shoulders Khushi took a step away from him. Unfortunately for Raizada Khushi’ mind drifted to a totally different tangent. She could adjust with thousands of alter-egos but not thousands of irrational and absurd alter-egos. One has to draw a line when things cross a certain limit.
Mr. Raizada I gave a chance to us because I thought we had the potential to be something really good in the future...but...
Dark as the night orbs stared back at Khushi Kumari Gupta. However, she felt high on anger with a little mix of annoyance and for once the lady wanted to make a firm decision.
But what Khushi...?Where are you going with this huh?
Your emotionally challenged self is hitting on my nerves right now. And I think we need to take a break.
Before Khushi could complete her words a cold and harsh interjection made her stop altogether. The tone of her Boss resembled the old and forgotten ASR. She could not help but recall the times when he had screamed at her for no reason at all. Gulping her disbelief she blatantly stared at the persona of Raizada which had been missing in action for a while.
Khushi Kumari Gupta have you lost it? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!?!? Forget this silly idea of break...alright? Because you simply cannot do so. Not when I want you to be with ME!!!
The woman gasped out loud at the confession made by the ASR. Did his other side not hate her? When did this happen? Even ASR fell for her? When? How?What?OMG!!!
YOU...YOU are him. You are ASR. And you have....feelings for me??!?
###
ASR heard the shock laced response of his secretary. He had accidentally admitted his feelings in anger and now he could not back out not when the woman he wanted was asking for a break...nope not possible, he mused.
Smirking the man moved two steps closer making her backtrack like always. Chuckling at the expected move he lowered his head to meet hers.
It is not easy to feel nothing for you...Khushi Kumari Gupta. Now forget about this break thing. Understood? Come on I will drop you home, it's late.
For once Arnavs mind was being power charged by the mind of ASR. Yup. According to him only he had the brains to control a certain Gupta. Manipulation has always been ASRs endgame hence as soon as his secretary mentioned the break thing the business-minded alter-ego of Raizada logged in automatically.
And the man smirked as he observed the light to his darkness Khushi Gupta walk out of the meeting room with a fierce look that promised only trouble...lots of trouble. For this moment the ASR enjoyed this little victory of his. Delaying the conversation of a ‘break’ was helpful but he needed a thorough action plan to make sure that all this jazz about getting away from him leaves Khushi’ mind.
The ASR advanced to his car in the parking lot with a furious Khushi behind him. He quickly settled himself behind the wheel keenly watching his crazy woman get in the passenger seat, as she closed the door with a loud bang.
Damnn. This won't be easy. His calculative self signaled him mentally.
###
Seconds turned into minutes but Khushi’ did not say a word. He tried to be sweet at first which was not a piece of cake. Not at all. He tried to be calm. But all of his actions were met with the same response. Silence. And then the shrewd ASR clawed the mind of Raizada making him turn cold with every passing moment. Thereby making his snobbish side bubble out much sooner.
Your ignorance won't be helpful for too long Khushi Kumari Gupta. You know me I always get what I want and I hate this...
Wow, this is great. So now we are back to threats and deals huh?! I have never ever liked the ASR. I only like the OPR side of yours...oh sorry...liked the OPR side of yours. Yes liked, because your Over Possessive alter-ego has gone to the land of the crazy.
And then again nothing. The conversation ended there and then. Khushi never looked his way only gazing out of the window facing away from him. ASR tried to hold her hand but she was quick enough to pull it off as if his touch burned her. Pretty soon ASR found himself and Khushi sitting very still in his car, parked two houses down from Khushi’ home.
Khushi for you...and just for you...I am willing to negotiate. We had a spat tonight so your mind needs a day or two to think clearly. Go to sleep tonight and take a day off from work. Relax your mind. Goodnight.
Thankfully the woman did not argue any further, she rather gave a slight nod in response. ASR sighed in relief and let her leave despite hating the damn distance between them. Unfortunately, the man had no clue about the impending disaster that was waiting for him the following day.
###
As the morning sunshine greeted Khushi at the window, the lady did not smile like usual. She did not wave her friend Happy Singh, who routinely cleaned his scooty across the street from her. At 6.30 am Khushi Kumari Gupta found herself sitting on the old rocking chair outside her main door, lost in thoughts of the one and only OPR.
During the meeting last night she had found the much needed time to figure out her next step. No matter the reasonings that OPR presented her with, both of them needed to take a break. Her Boss’ over-possessive and obsessive side had taken a disastrous turn, Nanheji being the proof of the same.
And hence she made her decision there and then. They would be apart for a while. A break. A much needed time to sort out the problems of their relationship. So when Mr. Raizada dropped her home yesterday Khushi sat in front of her Babuji’s old computer and typed her resignation letter. Yes. She had taken a firm decision for herself. Khushi chose to leave AR.
Today when her CEO will open his inbox the first mail he would read will be of her resignation from AR Designs. Khushi was a little worried about the reaction of her Over Possessive twin mind but she was doing this for their betterment. Or that's what she told herself.
###
Khushi..?? Why are sitting here bitiya? Are you not getting late for your office?
A confused Madhumati Mishra questioned. She was expecting to see a hyper Khushi asking for breakfast rushing for her office as usual but the sight that greeted her left her all perplexed. But when her Madhumati’s niece locked eyes with the old woman she understood that something was wrong with her little titiliya.
Are you alright Khushi? Are you feeling sick?
Buaji is your friend still looking for a caretaker?
What?!?
With 4 cups of freshly brewed tea, the Gupta women sat at their porch people watching at 8 o clock in the morning. At least that is what appeared to everyone who was passing their house. However, the three women sans Khushi were unable to understand the reason for Khushi’ sudden resignation from AR. Buaji had tried to ask her niece about this change of heart only to receive a vague answer about a change of environment from Khushi.
Madhumati jogged down the memory lane only to recall that a few days back Khushi had been so stubborn about the job offer from her friend Debo. She had been so reluctant to work for Deboji and now in a jiffy, she was welcoming the offer. Strange. Mused the elderly woman.
Khushi did...did that ASR do something wrong...is he the reason for this job change?
When Payal raised her doubts out loud chaos broke out in the Gupta house.
Everyone assumed that the worst had happened and that was the reason that Khushi resigned out of the blue.
He manhandled you right? Tell me Khushi bitiya. Do not fear okay.
Screamed a livid Madhumati Mishra. The thought of someone hurting her little Khushi pierced her heart.
Your Babuji will deal with that devil. Tell us if he did something inappropriate to you beta?
Khushi’ mother Garima demanded in a no-nonsense tone of hers.
###
After a lot of threats and promises from their side Khushi Gupta successfully managed to calm down her weird family. She disagreed with all the accusations and requested them for some peace and quiet time.
I wish to work for Debo Auntie now. I understand your idea of working in a homely atmosphere. I just took my own sweet time to comprehend it.
Thankfully her family did not probe any further. They were actually very happy with her decision and we're glad to know that she had resigned on the email itself. Her Buaji even appreciated her niece for being so mature and respecting her family’ wishes. As a fact, Madhumati Mishra spontaneously spoke to her friend Debo and the woman happily announced that Khushi could come at her place from tomorrow.
The clock at her home ticked and in a few seconds, it was 9 o clock making Khushi aware that by now Mr. Raizada would have reached his office. Pretty soon he will read his mail and then she will have to bravely face the consequences of her unilateral decision of distancing herself from the OPR. The woman gulped as her imagination went wild thinking about the rage of all the minds confined within Raizada. The OPR will go berserk for sure while ASR will conspire against her. And Khushi was definitely not worried about the latter much. Only the Obsessive Alpha male side of her boss frightened her to no end.
So like a good little girl Khushi bounced around the house acting all neurotic trying to get over the fact that she is doomed for sure.
###
When Khushi Kumari Gupta stood up with the rest of the Gupta women to leave the porch she failed to notice the man dressed in black who stood near the makeshift store adjacent to her house. To the rest of the Laxmi Nagar, the man appeared to be another customer simply looking for a pot to smoke but no one bothered looking through his disguise.
The man was none other than Aryan Verma the security detail hired by Raj Malhotra in order to satisfy the overprotective and possessive instincts of the businessman ASR. As usual, he checked his watch and dialed his Boss’ number. However this time Aryan had a lot to report. So retreating from the store he informed Mr. Malhotra all about the discussion of the Gupta women in regards to Khushi Ma’ams resignation and job change.
The man quickly hung up and then continued to roam around the street of Laxmi Nagar while still keeping an eye on the small house of Khushi Kumari Gupta.
###
At sharp 9 AM, the ruthless ASR ventured his cabin on the mezzanine floor. His eyes flickered to Khushi’s empty desk but he quickly dismissed his anger recalling the fact that he needed to be patient for the sake of his woman. Taking a deep breath he tried to control his rage. Arnav Singh Raizada sat on his chair and checked his mails only to stop midway as a scared Aman rushed to his side.
What the hell Aman? Stop acting like a frightened animal? Am I a carnivore or what? Idiot.
Ummm...Sir...Sir....I...I...
DAMN IT. Spit it out already. I don't have all day for this childishness.
Sir, did you check your mail?
As his manager sweated bullets something clicked in the back of ASR’ head. Something that felt very very wrong. With a frown, the CEO turned towards his PC only to be stunned by what he read and then re-read again as the fact registered his brain.
###
Silence prevailed in the room for a while as Aman prayed every hymn that he knew of. Khushi Kumari Gupta the obsession of Arnav Singh Raizada had resigned unintentionally terrorizing the entire staff AR Designs. Gulping his fears Aman continued eying his Boss. He saw it all. Shock. Surprise. Denial. Anger. Rage. However, before his beast of a CEO could react the phone on his desk vibrated aloud as if trying to express the lividness of ASR.
Aman witnessed his Boss as the man picked up the phone and answered in two rings.
Arnav Singh Raizada.
He could not hear what was being said but the way ASR’ pupils dilated made Aman realize that the news was bad. He sensed the impending nefarious-ness of his Boss.
You deserve a raise for sure Raj. Thank you for the information.
Aman trembled and tried to hold still using the desk for support but that did not help him. Not at all.
CRASHHHHH.
The loud noise continued to ring in his ears as he took in the sight of the fallen desk, files and computer. This is not good. Aman knew that Khushi’s security detail Raj had informed ASR something even worse than Khushi’ resignation.
A....S....R....ummm...
SHUT UP!!!! SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP. SHUT YOUR MOUTH, YOU IDIOT.
###
The hideous monster that was enjoying a staycation somewhere came back in full force. Khushi Kumari Gupta. The muse and madness of Over Possessive Raizada was trying to let go off him. She is still adamant about the break-up. The beast had been under the impression that some space and time will help Khushi in getting things under perspective. But, alas his decision did not really help. The Alpha male growled loathing the new feeling of abandonment that blanketed him.
Khushi...
The man whisper shouted in a deafening manner.
Nobody had the right to leave him. His Over possessive alter-ego only dreamed and demanded for one thing. Khushi. And now she was planning to leave him. Picking up his car keys the animal pushed his stupid manager away and dashed to the only destination that would give him peace now.
He drove in rage and honked every now and then as the madness for Khushi consumed him. There won't be any resignation nor there will be a job change. Khushi will have to bend her will for him. She is his existence for Christ's sake.
###
Khushi bitiya your Amma, Jeeji and I are heading to the temple. You take care of the house alright? Be a good kid.
Making the announcement the trio left Khushi with smiles on their faces. Unknown to them they were leaving their bitiya in the hands of a frenzied creature. An atrocious one to be precise.
###
Khushi chanted the name of her Devi Maiyya as she paced in her kitchen watching the pressure cooker on the stove once in a while. Her mind made up all kinds of worst scenarios. What if ASR loses control? What if OPR took over? What if he does something unexpected yet again? The woman was so adrift in her thoughts that she almost missed the loud banging on her door.
Getting rid of her pessimism Khushi unbolted the door, expecting a nosy neighbor as usual, with a fake smile plastered across her face. Unfortunately, her expressions took a 360-degree turn as she noticed the man who stood on the other side of the door.
Aap...?Aap yahan kya...? Kaise? Matlab...? Hum...woh....resignation...de chuke hain toh...
(You...?What are you...? How? Whats the meaning...?)
Khushi tried to scoot away as she subtly proceeded to shut the door on the face of the said person, however, the man slapped his palm on the door slamming it wide open. She retreated further inside the house as Arnav Singh Raizada effortlessly advanced in her direction closing the door aloud which caused her to jump midway.
Yes, Khushi Kumari Gupta. Main yahan aaya hoon. Even after reading your resignation. Wanna know why?
(I am here).
In a matter of seconds, Khushi found herself backed up against the wall behind the dining table with a dominating OPR, his arms shackling her from both sides.
Wh..Why? I clearly...I clearly stated that I need a break from this constant push and pull of ours. Then why won't you...
Before Khushi could finish her sentence she witnessed the over-possessive alter-ego of Arnav take over. Her favorite brown orbs almost glinted with gold displaying the sheer lividness he felt.
Kyunki tum Meri Khushi ho sweetheart. Mera Pagalpan. Meri Deewangee. Problems har relationship mein hoti hain...toh kya sab couples ek dusre ko chodte rahenge huh??
(Because you are My Khushi sweetheart. Problems exist in every relationship....but all the couples dont give up so quickly ao why did you huh??)
She blushed deeply hearing the honesty behind the confession of the crazy OPR, while her eyes dropped on her own accord. Khushi could not help but focus on the word relationship.
Par un sab couples ki normal problems hoti hain. Unke boyfriends ki koi evil side nahi hoti hain. OPR to hamare hi naseeb mein hain. OPR jinko pagalpan aur deewangi mein farq hi nai pata. Jo humari attention paane ke liye koi bhi kadam utha lete hain. Samjhe aap?!!?
(But those couples face normal problems. Their boyfriends dont have an evil side. Rather I have been destined to be with OPR. Yeah the OPR who does not understand the difference between madness and craziness. The one who turns beserk af any time. Got it?!!?)
When warm hands caressed her cheeks Khushi Gupta gasped in reflex facing the intensity of the obsessive Raizada. She finally verbalized what was running in her mind since yesterday.
Toh sikha do na iss paagal ko pyaar karna. Kyunki jab baat tumhari hoti hain to mere andar ka OPR har hadh bhool jata hain Khushi.
(Then teach this mad man how to love. As when it comes to you Khushi the OPR within me loses control).
###
Toh sikha do na iss paagal ko pyaar karna. Kyunki jab baat tumhari hoti hai to mere andar ka OPR har hadh bhool jata hain Khushi.
The beast uttered the words huskily making Khushi all the more breathless if possible. However not even a minute later the object of his affection pushed him making him step away from her.
Arnav I am scared that this darkness of yours will separate us. If not now then probably in the near future. And in that case, this relationship will become toxic.
Her words made the animal sigh in displeasure. Khushi Gupta was trying really hard to flee from her emotions that much was understandable. So the over-possessive nosferatu gave a tiny bit of his control to his beloved.
Dont underestimate the power of darkness Khushi. Even the purest hearts are drawn to it.
When Khushi turned to face him he seized the opportunity and captured her lips in a passionate kiss making her involuntary open her rose petals due to his sudden attack. Pleased by her response gave her a few pecks and stood at a respectable distance again as if the entire thing never happened.
I am in love with you Kitten. You are my Persephone. And I will fight for us till the end of time. So for you and only you...I am gonna accept your resignation. But that does not mean that I will leave you alone. Don't expect anything else...my love.
Pouring his heart in a moment of vulnerability the wolf backtracked from his female as she stood still in astonishment, probably surprised from the sudden assault followed by his confession.
With a mock salute, he turned away from her leaving her alone yet again pondering over his actions. While his evil twin sat behind the wheel in bliss as he drove away from the streets of Laxmi Nagar.
