Chapter 28 - Search

When I was little- I was always the victor of hide and seek.

Shoto and I would play frequently while Enji was out doing his hero work, sometimes our other siblings would join in, but only for a limited time in fear of being caught.

I was the tiniest out of everyone, so I could hide behind dressers, beds, boxes- Anything that I could fit behind or under, I would hide.

One day- I wasn't found for five hours.

When I was searching for a new hiding spot in the home, I found a way to pull up the flooring and hide under there, where ventilation would be.

For five hours I stayed, no one could find me and eventually, at three hours in, Enji had returned home to see that I was nowhere to be found. This was during the time I was still one of his masterpieces. Training to surpass AllMight.

He searched and searched, beat my mother for not looking after me in the next room over from where I was. Beat Touya, beat Fuyumi, beat- He abused everyone verbally that day for being so careless, fired so many staff members for not looking out for me when they should have been.

I don't remember how I got out, I don't remember walking down the hallway, just to get that point of seeing Touya black and blue in front of my mother, wailing on the floor as she sputtered out apologies after apologies. The eldest sibling was protecting our mother from him, from the man who had a part in creating us all, the man who was no hero to us, but a villain.

My twisted view of what was right and wrong began from there, the day I stabbed my father in his thigh with a sharp pillar of ice.

It was all black from then on.

-

It's been about a day since I have arrived to the Bakugo family home, every now and then they would check in on me as I stayed in Bakugo's room. At first they wanted me to stay in Masaru's office instead of the angry teenage boy's. But, they were already harbouring a half-criminal so I politely declined.

Besides- I could do a lot in his room.

For instance- He had a full-fledged desktop, AKA- My way of keeping an eye on what the police were doing, using a browser scanner, waiting until I would have to inevitably ditch this place.

It was also to see how the League was moving.

A way to find Touya.

They were in the city, spread out into the outskirts, but they hadn't left the country or county or anything of the sorts. They were being pretty lowkey, which told me that they were planning something. What was it? I hadn't figured that out yet.

Hell, I was still figuring out Bakugo's computer.

Of course Masaru did give me a crash course on how to use Netflix and Youtube, but anything else was a nono.

I was pretty much winging it.

Also- I did not want to stumble upon something Bakugo has looked up on the internet, but so far nothing, nothing came up, he knew his way around deleting his search history. He was actually a smart teenage boy for once.

That's besides the point, I have been doing my best to narrow things down where they could be located and where they could strike next.

Toga wants to be my friend, right?

And friends go ice skating. Right?

I leaned back into the chair, lightly swivelling myself around as I thought to myself. There was writing on the dagger, all it said was 'ice' it was a clue for me to contact her before the police realise what it meant.

Was I being lured into a trap? Probably, would it be worth it? 50/50. If it meant I could see Touya again, then I dont give a shit.

I know how to fight and defend myself.

All I had to worry about is her drinking my blood, well licking it? Either way, consuming it in order to turn into me. If I get my blood vial away from her, I could easily throw it out into the ocean and let it break apart from the pressure of the water and-

"Elle!" I jumped out of my seat, eyes going wide as I looked to the door. I quickly switched the browser to netflix, clearing my throat.

"Yes?"

"The neighbors brought over cookies, do you want one?" I sighed in relief, resting my forehead against the wall.

"No, I'm good... Thank you Miss Mitsuki." I thanked her. I could basically hear the wheels turning in her head as she opened the door with a fluid thrust. I removed my head from the wall, staring at her as her look of disapproval changed into a mother's look of sincerity.

"It's just Mitsuki dear, no Miss or Mrs." I nodded, smiling back at her lightly before she left, leaving the door open. I rubbed the back of my neck, looking up at the ceiling for a moment. This may be the safest place for me to the be at the moment, but the Bakugos' mood changes were so erratic I was thinking about hightailing it early.

I looked to the screen again, switching the tabs over to my map of the city.

"I will find you, Touya."

---

On the opposite end of the spectrum- Stood Todoroki Enji.

He sat in his office at the agency, letting his workers do the search for this 'Elle'. He couldn't give a shit about it, he had better things to worry about.

Ever since he was informed of his two children being potentially alive? One being a definite and the other a probably- He was looking for them.

Right when he was trying to mend his family back together, those two show up.

They were going to ruin everything if he doesnt get to them first.

He remembered seeing the joy in his youngest son's eyes, his masterpiece showing an emotion that wasn't just anguish or nothingness- But pure joy and shock. His little sister was alive.

He pulled up a file on his computer that no one else held access to, not even the police that he was aware of. It was the file of her and Touya's disappearance.

He remembered searching for them, but was most worried about her. Because she may have been rebellious and smart mouthed at a young age- She was able to do things Shoto was unable to do. She was able to spread fire over on both sides of her body and vice versa with ice. She was so close to being the central masterpiece, but Touya had to go and corrupt her thinking.

He sneered silently to himself, eyes narrowing as he read through the document. They could never find them, whatever they did, they were nowhere in sight, it got to the point of thinking they left the county or country- Or passed away.

The third option stood out among the rest, they couldn't go very far, they were just children. So instead of searching for them alive, they were looking for their bodies.

Nothing came at the end of it.

Presumed dead, he did whatever he could to erase them from the public's mind, act like they did not exist in the first place, that the oldest of the Todoroki siblings was Fuyumi with Shoto being the youngest and no twin.

That could all be ruined if they were to say something. To come out. It wouldn't be hard for them to show proof.

But his eldest son was smart, he wouldn't do it out of a whim if he was still alive. They did stay hidden and alive for this long after all.

He scrolled through the photos taken on the investigation, tracks outside of the estate that fit Touya's shoe size.

A long piece of white hair that was hanging down from a branch, telling them that Touya was carrying ********** when they fled.

There were a few sightings of the two in the city in the first day, that was documented. After that, radio silence. Disappeared off of the face of the earth.

He came upon a photo of the two, staring at it intently.

"If you ruin this for me, I will destroy you both." He promised to himself silently.

---

"Okay so... Where would our Elle go?" Questioned Sero.

Class 1-A had split up into teams of four, Sero was paired up with Tokoyami, Ojiro, and Mineta.

"We have spoken rarely to her, you would have the best idea of her." Stated Ojiro, his tail slightly moving with him as he walked. Sero sighed heavily, muttering to himself as thought to himself. Where would Elle be?

Unknown to the rest of the students- She was inhabiting none other than Bakugo Katsuki's home.

-

"We have searched through a quarter of the city and then some and yet- No sign of her." Stated Tsukauchi, studying the map laid sprawled out over the desk.

"She just up and disappeared, no one should be capable of hiding from us Pro-Heroes for this long." Midnight muttered, having only recently joined in on the search.

"Did you even glance at her case file, Midnight? We are dealing with a frightened teenage girl with a quirk that can kill people- Also the fact that her older brother is a villain, no lousy villain, but one from the League." Midnight sneered at Top Gun, glancing over at Eraserhead.

"Did you do a thorough search of the more ghetto parts of the city?"

"Yes, no sign of her. None of the cameras stationed there haven't caught sign of her either." Midnight huffed in annoyance. Elle was giving her a headache...

"What do you propose we do?"

"We just need to keep searching, and hope that she turns up somehow." Tsukauchi rubbed his face. The Pro-Heroes in the room could that he hasn't slept since Elle's disappearance.

"Turns up somehow? Tsukauchi no offense but- This is getting more serious than we ever imagined." Tsukauchi tiredly nodded, looking to Aizawa. The man rolled his eyes. "No, I am not giving you any of my caffeine pills."

"Since when did you take those-" Midnight began, cut off by Present Mic hollering into the room.

"WE GOT A DNA MATCHHH~" Tsukauchi's tired eyes snapped up, wide awake at the shout from Yamada Hizashi.

"What- Really?" The blond loud mouth walked further into the room, his signature wide grin etched onto his face as if he was a stone statue.

"Indeed! Now let's see where I put it at..." He trailed off, patting his torso as he searched for the envelope that contained Elle's true identity.

"You can't be serious, Mic." Aizawa muttered, "I wasn't gonna walk around with it in my hand! What if a villain or a subordinate saw it and snatched it away from me?!" Aizawa sighed, pinched the bridge of his nose tiredly at his best friend.

"I appreciate the precaution, but we need to know this information as soon as possible. It will aid us in our search for Elle if we knew who she is related to." He nodded, continuing to search through his pockets for it before it dawned on with a snap of his fingers.

"Oh! It is in the car."

"You are going to be the death of yourself one of these days." Stated the tired hero.

.

.

.

.

.

Cold?

...

Wet?

.

Why is everything that has to do deal with her so cold?

.

.

Her gaze, her tone, her exterior and interior. It is all- All so cold...

I prefer it to be warm.

Fresh.

Not old and cold.

The final gulp slid down Toga Himoko's throat, the shifter giving a thumbs up to her boss, Shigaraki.

"We are all good to go~!" Shigaraki nodded, adjusting the hand that covered his face as he looked out to the city before at Overhaul who stood to the side.

"He has been there since this morning, right?" Overhaul nodded, gesturing to Toga.

"Yeah, the bunny can go do as she pleases." Shigaraki's smirk widened, his chapped lips cracking apart.

"Perfect. This wasn't all for nothing after all.".

He opened his electric blue eyes, staring down at the phone screen, the one picture he ever took on it of him and his little sister. He glanced up, his brows knitting together as he thought to himself.

'After this, the nightmare will be all over. I promise you, Imouto.'.

To Be continued

IMOUTO IS NOT ELLE'S NAME- I REPEAT, NOT ELLE'S NAME.

Imouto means little sister in Japanese. This is coming from the weeb that is learning Japanese to the best of her abilities.

Of course I haven't studied since like July but that isn't important-

Hello everyone again! Welcome back to Opposites after about a whole month of me going on break!

Elle is at the Bakugo Household in hiding, everyone is out searching for her while she is doing her own investigating to find where Touya is located with the LOV, but judging by the switch of POVs to where the LOV is at, Toga drinking Elle's vial of blood, it appears that they have ditched trying to meet up with Elle.

Not much happened, just a small filler but with good information about what is going on.

Thank you all for reading and I will talk to you all tomorrow! -Golden
