Millie.
"If Finn weren't my best friend, I think I'd actually murder him." I said as I put on my leather bomber jacket. I turned to Buffy, the exotic shorthair on my bed, with an eye-roll. She mewled in response.
"You're right," I nodded my head at her. "It would be a messy job to clean up."
I walked across the room to my shoe-closet. "Such a shame, I would've done it too." I sighed. Buffy stared at me for a while. "Okay, fine. Maybe not. But I would've wanted to."
She shifted her position on my bed and I felt defeated. "Oh come on! Don't give me that look, he's making me go to a party for Christ's sake. A party in Hollywood. You know I don't have time for that stuff."
Buffy continued to stare. "Well, you wouldn't know anything about that now would you? You're a cat, you've got all the time in the world to lay around all day." With that, she scurried off my bed and out the door. Great. Even my cat's tired of my shit.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed. I looked down at it to see a text from Finn.
Finn: im outside
I texted him back as soon as I read it.
Millie: coming
I left a note for my parents on the kitchen counter saying I'd be spending the night at Finn's, on my way out the door. They were at dinner with my younger sister, I'd opted out since I knew I'd be at the party, though I'd wished it was because I had to train.
I entered Finn's car only to find him primping casually in his rear-view mirror. Of course. "Finn," I cleared my throat. "You're hot, now can we please go already? The sooner we get there, the sooner we can leave."
Finn scoffed, fixing a few single curls in his hair that were amiss. I crossed my arms, waiting.
"Fine," He started the engine. "Put on directions for me?"
I nodded, grabbing my phone. "What is it?"
Finn hesitated, leg shaking like it does when he's anxious. Jesus, what is it now.
"627 Adelaide Court."
I nearly dropped my phone, gaping up at him. "Finn!"
He flinched, holding a hand up to his head, for protection. Fair. I have hit him several times in the past. "She asked for a ride!" He shrugged. "I'm sure she'll go home with Wyatt, don't freak out."
I groaned. "She better not be coming to your house afterwards. I swear, Finn-"
"Mil, it's been, what, nine months?" Finn defended. "I thought you guys were cool now."
I shook my head. I mean, yes. "Besides the point. I mean, we are. But still. She's always bringing girls with her. How am I supposed to get any game if she's stealing all the good ones," I paused for emphasis. "Being gay in a predominantly straight world is so exhausting."
Finn deadpanned. "Oh, boohoo. You could get any girl you want."
"Well, duh," I rolled my eyes. "But I want them first. Sophia's just got a lot more time on her hands."
"Look, I'm sorry," He sighed, "But she asked and you know I can't say no to people. I'm America's sweetheart." Finn batted his eyelashes at me. For fuck's sake.
"You know that isn't even half true, Wolfhard." I retorted.
"It'll be fine," Finn assured.
"I can't believe my ex and my best friend are conspiring against me," I sighed dramatically.
"Just text Sophia and tell her we're on our way," Finn ordered.
I typed angrily at my phone and well, it wasn't even that big of a deal. I mostly just enjoyed finding reasons to complain to Finn. I snickered and sent a text to Soph.
Millie: Finnsky and I are on our way. Wear something pretty ;)
Sophia: shut up, Millie Bobby Brown or I swear i'll vomit
Millie: whatever, we're ten mins away lmao
Sophia: okie dokie
By the time we got to Sophia's house, I was itching to get out of the car. Finn may be a talented musician but his driving was sickening. Sophia was already outside waiting. She was wearing a black slip dress and I knew that meant she wouldn't be going home alone.
"Well, you took my advice, it seems." I teased, as she climbed into the backseat.
"Ah, Mills. You know I don't go into a fight empty handed." She replied.
"If I'm not mistaken, I thought Millie was the one who does the fighting," Finn laughed.
"If I'm not mistaken, I'd say that's the same dress you were wearing the night we got together." I taunted, turning to look at her.
"What can I say? It worked, didn't it?" She shrugged. Good point.
"Just don't dirty my leather seats, Lillis." Finn pointed a finger at her as he began to drive. "I don't want any of the shenanigans that occurred last time to happen again. No more weirdos, I had to scrub the windows twice after the Christmas party incident."
"It's not my fault! That girl had a thing for thematic movie references. She wanted to go all Titanic on me with the hand running down the glass, you know." Sophia stood her ground. I laughed. Out of all the girl's I've seen her go for, that one had to be the most annoying. Their banter went on for another twenty minutes but as we approached the mansion, their voices began to calm down.
"Who's house is this, again?" I asked, eyes wide as I peered out at the estate and the crowds of people both inside and out the front gates.
"Jack Grazer," Sophia smiled. "His dad's loaded, as you can see."
"Doesn't look like you'll have any trouble finding a girl in there," Finn gestured to the number of girls that were scattered around with huge smiles and cups in their hands.
"Whatever, I'm still only staying for an hour." I sighed as we exited the car.
"Time to party." Finn winked, and with that, we were walking in.

pic attached is what Millie looks like at the party.
Soooo you all met Sophia (: Don't worry she's not some rotten ex girlfriend who causes drama or anything.
Millie and Sadie meet in the next chapter.
