Part 1

Summary:

The Mandalorian, the child, and yourself, are marooned in an unnamed tropical beach planet. With the kind of damage the Razor Crest has sustained, the three of you had no choice but to until while Din does repairs for the ship. In this planet, you will know each other in a deeper level like never before.

Side Notes: There really isn't a tropical planet in Star Wars, so I decided to make one up 😂 You can finally expect the slow burn love between Mando and (y/n) really start to develop. If it's not in this chapter, it will for sure be in the next part! I love tropical places like the beach, and for me, it's the best place to be romantic! Also one more thing, I know that in season 2 Ashoka was the one who found out about everything with Grogu's past, and of course that includes his name. But since it's my fanfic, I wanted (y/n) to be the one to find out all these things about Grogu. I hope it fits well for the story :))))))

You awoke to the sound of calm waves and the gentle breeze of the wind that tickled your face, with the bright rays of the sun penetrating through your closed eyelids. Getting up on a sitting position, it appeared that there was a large body of water that beheld your sights; an ocean to be exact. An unexpected soft powdery feeling came from the sand below you, instead of the coarse feeling that you were used to from other planets such as Tatooine. Palm trees swayed from side to side from the humid wind as the scent of saltwater lingered in your nostrils.

Finally getting up on your feet, you turned to see the Mandalorian attempting to repair the damaged Razor Crest. You walked towards the busy armoured man, being greeted by the child's large doe eyes.

"Where are we?" You asked, rubbing the your temples with your fingers in small circular motions.

"I don't even know. This planet apparently has no name, and it isn't inhabitant by any civilians, only the creatures local here."

"I've never seen a planet like this before. It looks beautiful here, almost like I could live here forever and forget that there are people after us."

"Well, looks like your lucky day today. The Razor Crest took a big blow from the x-wings that chased us, and from the looks of it, we might be stuck here for a few days."

You smiled at the thought of finally being able to relax for once in your life. There was no way bounty hunters and ex-imperials were going to find you in a place like this. So much exploring without any intrusions could be done here. There was also so much wildlife that could provide your source of food, and plenty of frogs that the child could indulge all he wanted. Beautiful sightseeing, food, and no signs of your enemies. This was probably your favourite planet.

Your gaze averted towards the armoured man as he was repairing the ship, looking for any indication if he was ever going to remove any of his armour from the humidity of the planet, or even just his helmet.

"You ever gonna remove that thing here? This planet's humidity is on a different level, aren't you dying from sweat in there?"

"No living thing has ever seen my face ever since I've sworn myself to the creed. This is the way."

"Suit yourself. But don't blame me if you end up drowning in your sweat," you chuckled.

You took in a deep breath, being extremely thankful that the three of you didn't end up being marooned in a snowy planet like Hoth, where you'd eventually freeze to death. If you ever felt like melting, at least this planet had a large source of water where you could cool off. You could get used to staying here for a few days.

"By the way, what happened with you back in the prison ship?"

"What do you mean?" You asked in a confused manner.

The Mandalorian spent a few seconds trying to formulate the use of his words, careful to not offend you, "I saw you using the force against Xi'an. Were you trying to kill her? You looked... Angry."

You looked back at the archives of your memories. That event happened so recently ago, and you could still feel the dark side of the force haunt you from that memory. You were never a violent idividual, even during practice sparring in the Jedi Temple you were still gentle while still defeating your opponents. But in that instant, your emotions were out of control, and all you could think of was trying to get rid of that Twi'lek.

All your life, you have spent it by suppressing your emotions. The Jedi code was anything but easy, especially when it was trying to deal with your emotions. There was no love, only compassion; and that was the one that you are struggling with the most right now. The more time you spent with the child and the Mandalorian, the more you felt yourself being attached to them. Attachment was forbidden in the Jedi code. With the child, you felt yourself wanting to protect it as long as you shall live. With the Mandalorian, your love for him grows with every day that passes by. So when you had discovered that the Twi'lek and the armoured man were once lovers, your feelings of jealousy had gotten the best of you, and that's when the dark side took over for a moment prompting you to almost kill her.

Emotions that were all so foreign to you, emotions that you didn't have the slightest clue on how to handle on your own.

"I-I was angry... So angry, that I nearly killed that Twi'lek. She said some things that unleashed something dark within me... And I shouldn't have done that. It's not the Jedi way..." You paused for a moment, taking a look at your shaking  hands. "I need some time to reflect on my actions. I need to be alone and meditate."

Without waiting for a response from the Mandalorian, you headed off on your own.

The sun had began to set, leaving an array of colours that the tropical sky had produced, from the pinks, oranges, and yellow shades that exploded as the sun slowly descended from above.

You found a much more secluded area where the beach was surrounded by multiple palm trees. The gentle breeze of the wind and the gentle sound of the waves had eased your mind, especially when you felt the soft powdery white sands beneath you. You sat down cross legged, putting all your concentration to connect with the force, and slowly closed your eyes.

I am with the force, and the force is with me.

For a moment, it was only silence. Silence that was filled with the gentle waves that crashed and rippled with one another. Yes, your mind was at ease, but the concentration was where it was the most complicated. Your rage had left you unbalanced and unfocused.

"Having troubles focusing, my padawan?"

Your eyes darted opened, igniting your saber as you tried to look for the source of where that familiar voice came from.

"Is that how you want to greet your old master, (y/n)?"

Your eyes quickly blinked a few times, you could've sworn you saw your late master standing before you. Yes, he was there physically. But at the same time, he also was not, at least not quite literally in the flesh. Your master's appearance had been transformed into a light bluish complexion, where it he appeared to be a force ghost.

"Master? Is that really you??"

"Of course it is, my padawan. Oh, how you've grown into such a powerful Jedi."

"Y-you've become one with the force!" You stammered, your voice nearly breaking down. "I've missed you, master. For years I've had no one to guide me."

"I have been guiding you in every way I can, my padawan. During in your times of struggles, I have always been there for you."

"I-I wish you were still alive, here with me! Here to complete my training... I feel unbalanced master. I have never entered Jedi knighthood... I'm nothing but a failed padawan." Your head was downcasted, avoiding to gaze at your master from the shame that you felt.

"I sense great guilt from you, (y/n). Is it from that incident on the prison ship?"

Your head perked up, now averting your gaze towards your master, "So, that was you who stopped me from killing her? I apologize for my actions... It was not the Jedi way."

"Why do you think you felt such anger?"

You sighed, hesitant to answer your master's question, "I-I have grown a strong attachment with someone master... These emotions that have stirred inside me, I have no clue how to handle them. When I felt all that anger and jealousy, the dark side had suddenly taken over me. It happened so quickly that I didn't even realize I was choking her until you finally stopped me. Master, I know it's wrong to form attachments, but my heart says otherwise."

Your master gestured you to sit on the fallen log of a palm tree, "That is where the Jedi Order has failed, my padawan. Teaching younglings how to suppress their emotions had done them more harm than good. Just look at what happened to Anakin Skywalker, we never really looked into how he felt about his emotions until he finally fell deep into the dark side. It was our failure to not notice that our teachings were extremely flawed. We became complacent, boastful, that is why the Jedi Order had a fate such as it is."

"Failed all the Jedi, we have." Another familiar voice admitted.

You slightly jumped in shock. Beside your master, there appeared grandmaster Yoda before you, who had also become one with the force.

"Master Yoda!" You gestured a bow before the grandmaster, "It's been too long since I've seen you... The last time I saw you was Order 66. I haven't seen any masters, nor other Jedi since that tragic event. Only master Orula has been with me and continued to train me until he too, has been taken away."

"Survived with Orula's training, you have young padawan. How strong you have become," the grandmaster snickered. "Trained one last Jedi I did, before passing away. Young Luke Skywalker, it was."

Your (e/c) eyes widened, "THE Luke Skywalker?! No wonder why many stories have mentioned how legendary he was! I've never actually had the opportunity to meet him myself, since I've spent years hiding in the outer rim of the galaxy."

"Trained him new ways I have. Done with the old Jedi ways we are, where we have failed. Your emotions you need to express, young padawan. Allowed to love you are. Sense your emotions of your love for someone, I do."

Your cheeks flushed a shade of red like never before. Grandmaster Yoda was sensing your overflowing feelings for your crush, the Mandalorian. But he did just say, you were finally allowed to love someone.

"It's true, master. I've grown a strong attachment for two individuals. One is the love for protecting the child from any harm that will come to him. The second one, well... Let's just say my feelings for him have grown for more than just being friends. There is just something about this man that I can't express with words alone, and I don't know how to handle the emotions that I'm feeling."

"Taken over you, the dark side has in those few seconds. Your emotions flow, allow them you will. But don't let the dark side win again."

"Your training has paid off, young one," your master had taken a few steps towards you, gesturing his hands onto the ground.

"What's going on, master? You're not actually thinking of pledging me into knighthood, are you? My training, it was never completed-"

"You have completed it on your own. No longer are you a padawan, but now a fully trained Jedi knight."

The heavy tears that formed on your eyes fell onto your cheeks. The overflowing happiness that you felt had you sobbing, you felt successful that your training had finally been completed. Once you were a padawan without any direction to go to, but to hide in fear. Now you have regained your courage, being officially a Jedi knight.

"This is the greatest honour I could ever receive. Thank you, my masters," you bowed before them, as they did the same in return.

"Train the child, you will, Jedi knight (y/n)."

"Am I suited for such a role, master Yoda?"

"Get to know the child you will have to as well. Protect him, and train him, you must. His abilities must not fade."

"It is time for us to go, my old apprentice. I am proud to have been your master, (y/n). Until we meet again."

"Thank you, my masters." With that, you bowed down before the two, where they were no longer in sight as you rose back up.

You ignited your lightsaber, glancing at it proudly now that you are indeed a Jedi knight.
