The blue glow of your lightsaber was the brightest light in the darkness, humming as you wielded it to strike fear into the raiders hearts. Everyone seemed to have froze for a few seconds, taking in that bit to see that a Jedi was truly with them during this battle. It had seemed that these ancient sorcerers had no longer existed, until now.

The Mandalorian watched you in full admiration as you leapt a great amount of feet in the air, landing perfectly in the middle of the head of the large mech. You pointed your lightsaber towards the glass window, easily breaking it into shreds. Stretching your hand out, you felt the energy of the force surge within you. One of the pilots had begun to levitate in the air, flinging him into the water as you outstretched your arm in the opposite direction. The same had been done with the co-pilot.

You leapt out of the machinery with a single graceful backflip, slicing the two legs into half as it finally fell into the water just as planned. With their invincible machine unable to protect them any longer, the raiders stopped midway during the fight and retreated. They won't be coming back to steal their harvest any time soon now.

The farmers applauded you and screamed in victory. They began to surround you, all of them talking at once with their many different questions. You couldn't answer them immediately, but the main question was clear. How did a Jedi end up being Sorgan?

"Maybe it was the will of the force," you finally uttered.

"The force?" They asked, confused with the answer you gave them.

"Yes, the force."

You turned to see the ex-shock trooper with a smile plastered onto her face, punching your arm playfully, "I never thought I'd see any more of you other than him."

"Who's him?" You asked, just as confused as the farmers were.

"Luke Skywalker! The legendary Jedi who led the rebellion to defeat the empire. You mean you've never heard of him?"

Before you could give an answer, you spotted the Mandalorian walking towards you. It's as if you can see the bewildered look he had underneath his Beskar helmet. You waited for him to say something, but he just stood there before you speechless.

You gazed towards your companions, both looking equally as exhausted as you were, "If the two of you let me sleep tonight, I promise I will answer any questions you have for me by tomorrow morning."

***

You awoke from the sheer brightness of the sun shining onto your eyelids. The noises of the farmers conversing along with the splashes of water rung in your ears. It sounded like they were already harvesting their first batch of krill, now fearless knowing that those Klatoonian raiders would not dare to come steal anything from them again. The laughter of children illuminated as they played with each other, assuming that the child was also them.

You sat up in a sitting position, rubbing your eyes together so that your vision could focus, finally spotting a certain Mandalorian and an ex-shock trooper sitting in front of you. Your gaze focused towards the Mandalorian at first. The intimidating black T shape of his helmet and his continuous silence gave you the impression that he has some pressing questions. You could sense his confusion, frustration, and his heart was beating in incredible speed.

"So, about you never really knowing about Luke Skywalker?" Cara Dune broke through the somewhat awkward silence.

Your hand rummaged through your entangled hair, recently letting it down from your loose bun, "I have heard of Luke Skywalker, but I've never actually met him in person. You never really see any Jedi in the outer rim. Word spread out that Darth Vader was actually his father."

"I figured you were a little different. During our first encounter, your fighting skills seemed a bit off. It was a little too fast for my taste, something only a Jedi like Luke Skywalker could do."

"Why the hell didn't you tell me you were a Jedi?" The Mandalorian rudely cut in.

The built woman sensed some tenseness in the atmosphere with his sudden question. She looked at the both of you, silence remaining ever since he asked his question. Clearing her throat, she got up and walked towards the door, "I think you two have a lot of clarifying to do. I'll leave you guys alone, I'll just be outside. Call me whenever you need me." With that, the ex-shock trooper was out of sight.

Silence continued to engulf the atmosphere, the metal man still awaiting for an answer. You finally had the courage to gaze towards his intimidating stare, with him refusing to move an inch. You removed your face mask, revealing a face that was famous throughout the guild. This was a huge shock to your companion.

"What?? Y-you're-"

"Yes. I'm (f/n)(l/n). I've been a Jedi in hiding all these years, and I'm aware that I have a large bounty placed for my head." You paused, the tone of your voice getting more serious as you continued, "I also know that you're a bounty hunter of the guild, and decided not to reveal my true identity in fear that you would turn me in."

The Mandalorian then reached into one of his pockets, taking out a puck that revealed a blue hologram of a close up portrait of your face. The device hummed as the hologram of your image slowly rotated.

"I've been looking for this Jedi for many months now. All this time, she was just the dishwasher from Nevarro. You were with me all this time. Why did do you have a bounty of a million credits?"

Execute order 66.

You shuddered from the voice of the now dead emperor. The many dark memories you carried from that tragic event had given you endless amounts of nightmares.

A shaky sigh escaped from your lips, "I was only a young padawan learner during the fall of the Jedi Order. My master and I, along with very few Jedi have survived the great purge. We all went into hiding."

"Why did the great purge even happen in the first place?"

"A powerful Jedi knight named Anakin Skywalker let his fears draw him into the dark side, he went mad. The clone troopers joined him killing many Jedi, we were all outnumbered by these soldiers. Many of those Jedi were masters I knew, and friends whom I grew up with..." You paused, reaching out towards your lightsaber as it levitated towards your hand, "I never saw any more Jedi after that, except for my master. He continued to train me while we were in hiding, careful for our presence not to be sensed by the Sith. But that day came too when we were found... My master and I fought off as many stormtroopers as we can. Then along came Darth Vader... He was extremely powerful and difficult to fight off. My master had commanded me to run so that I may survive."

"Run, padawan!"

"I won't leave you, master!"

"You must go, now!"

"But my training-"

"I have taught you all that you needed to know. I am so sorry that you were not able to complete your training, my padawan."

"That was the very last time I saw my master before I ran. I ran as fast as my two feet could take me, until I could no longer feel his presence. That's when I knew my master had been killed..." You paused yet again, lighting up your lightsaber, taking a look at its blue glow, "Many bounty hunters were paid to find Jedi in hiding. Darth Vader had turned some of them into inquisitors... Some of them were friends of mine since we were younglings."

"I'm sorry to hear that. If it's too hard for you to continue then perhaps-"

"No, it's fine. It feels nice to finally tell someone else about my problems." You abruptly cut in, "If you're curious about what inquisitors are, they are force users trained in the Jedi arts, but have turned into the dark side. They were fiercely loyal to their master, Darth Vader."

"Were they wanting to turn you into one of those inquisitors?"

You nodded you head, "Yes. I excelled during my training years as a padawan in the Jedi temple of Coruscuant. Many masters have told me that the force was always strong with me, and that I would some day be one of the greatest Jedi knights to ever live. That is why the empire had wanted me to be an inquisitor... Darth Vader himself told me during our battle, that he could feel how strong the force was with me, how much fear and anger filled me that day. He also told me that I would be the one to replace him should he die. My master would not let him take me, so he commanded me to run and sacrificed himself."

"I now understand why the ex-imperials are so desperate to take you, and are willing to spend however much credits they have. If you were going to be the next Darth Vader, then that means they could rise up to power once again."

"That's right." You looked at your lightsaber, making a sharp hissing noise as you powered it off, "I saw the outer rim to hide as my only option. I never had a life outside of the Jedi Order, that's why I became a dishwasher. Since I was completely clueless how to do other jobs. My employer at the time knew of my secret, and threatened to tell bounty hunters if I quit on him. So I stayed, until I found the opportunity to escape, by being a stowaway in your ship. Like I said earlier, I didn't reveal my true identity to you in fear of being turned in to ex-imperials. But it seems like it's going to happen to me anyways, considering the puck that you showed me."

You gestured towards the hologram with the image of your face, written underneath was the price the ex-imperials were willing to pay for you to be delivered alive. A million credits. It took a few minutes before the Mandalorian could speak again, for he was distracted at the beauty that was presented before him. You were even more beautiful in person than that of what the hologram presented of you. Now that you've revealed how you looked like underneath your mask, he couldn't help but marvel at you beauty once more.

"If you're gonna turn me in, then do it now. Who knows, they might just torture me. As long as the child is safe-"

"No." He cut you off, placing the puck onto the floor before crushing it with his boot, "I don't think I can bring myself to doing it anymore. I swore to myself that I'd be the richest bounty hunter in the galaxy. You were my first target, then the kid came in next. This armour was made from the prize I had been given when I delivered the kid to the imps. But I couldn't get the thought of what they were gonna do when they got it. I defied my guild when I rescued the kid... Something in me really wanted to protect it."

You were at a loss of words. For a moment, you thought that you were going to finally meet your doom. You didn't expect the man in clad armour to do what he just did.

"I don't understand, why did you do that? I have a large bounty on my head that could last you many months worth of income."

A sigh escaped from his lips, "If the imps were willing to do something bad to the kid, then I can't imagine what they would do to a Jedi. I took the puck with me so that if I ever found you, I would never rat you out and turn you in."

You could feel the heat build up in your face, your heart beat drumming against your ribcage. No, this was not the time to feel such emotions. You casted your head downwards, in hopes of hiding the pinkish blush forming on your cheeks.

"Thank you, Mando-"

"Din Djarin," he cut in suddenly, "that's my name."

Your hand outstretched towards the metal man, in which he held on for a handshake, "It's nice to finally know your real name, Din Djarin."

"I thought you'd never come out from the barn," a familiar voice from a woman called out from behind, in which startled the Mandalorian.

"Don't do that again," he said with a slight growl laced in his tone, "What do you mean I'd never get out?"

The ex-shock trooper sat on a chair with her feet up on the porch railing, rolling her eyes in a teasing manner, "Don't play dumb with me. I saw the way you acted towards her, and how concerned you were when she didn't tell you she was a Jedi."

Indeed that helmet of his was helpful. It hid the face that he could feel himself blushing in a shade of red, "I was just concerned, nothing more."

"It looks more than concern, my friend. Why not settle in this now peaceful planet with the beautiful young Jedi and raise the child together? If this planet were to be raided again, then the farmers could use the protection from a Jedi and Mandalorian together."

That thought pondered for awhile with the Mandalorian. His plan was to lay low in a peaceful planet with the child, and it sounded even better now that you were with them. The thought of you being like a mother to the adorable creature made his lips instinctively quirk into a smile. If there was one thing you and him had in common, it was running away from imps and bounty hunters.

"Earth to Mando," the build woman interrupted the Mandalorian's thoughts, "I didn't know you were capable of daydreaming now."

He shook his armoured head out of the trance he was enraptured in. The emotions he was feeling was foreign, it never occurred to him that the child and a woman like yourself would be able to break down the walls of his stone cold heart.

"Hmm, maybe I will consider your advice on that."

He was filled with awe as he watched you from afar playing with the child along with the children of the village.

"Go join them, I'll keep watch," Cara instructed.

The Mandalorian nodded his head, then walked towards you shortly after. Laughter along with the "ooh's and ahh's" grew as the children watched you levitate rocks with the force. Omera's daughter, Winta, reached her hands out while you levitated the stone as it landed on her palms.

"Wow! I've never seen a Jedi before. I thought they were just stories that our parents told us during bedtime, but they're actually real. Thank you for saving our village from all those raiders!"

You flashed a gentle smile to the young girl, "Well, there aren't many of us left anymore. That's why it's rare for anyone to see a Jedi nowadays."

"Can we see your lightsaber?"

You snickered, reaching in the holster of your belt to lend your weapon, "Be careful with it. A lightsaber can cut off limbs very easily."

A few children went up to the rather tall Mandalorian, handing out a lilac singular flower to him.

"You should give this to your girlfriend," one of the young girls said as her friends giggled in the background.

"Wait, she's not my-"

But before he could even finish his sentence, the young girl grabbed his hand and placed the flower on his palm. Shortly after, she and her friends started pushing him towards your direction.

"Jedi lady, this man has something to give to you!"

You whipped your head towards the Mandalorian who was standing before you. He could've sworn that time had slowed down as the way you glanced at him was in slow motion. Your (h/c) swayed gracefully from the gentle breeze of the wind. The glow of sun shone on your face, enhancing the beauty that you already had. Your glistening (e/c) eyes staring right at him was strong enough to penetrate right through his cold interior of a soul.

"Yes, Din?" You curiously asked, awaiting for what he was going to give you.

The Mandalorian sighed, placing his hand on his helmet, rubbing on it nervously, "I uh-the kids wanted me to give this flower to you."

You spotted a lilac-coloured flower gently being held by his leathered glove. Your heart drummed unsteadily against your ribcage, your face flushing as red as sunsets of Tatooine's twin suns. The children then huddled together, watching a few feet away giggling at what will happen next.

"Oh, this is for me?" You bashfully asked.

The metal man just merely nodded, extending his hand further, in which you grabbed onto the flower. A tingling sensation surged throughout your spine, you felt chills as goosebumps formed on your arms. No, this certain emotion is forbidden in the Jedi Order. There is no love, only compassion. Your mind told you that, but your heart says otherwise. You couldn't help but let your feelings grow for the Mandalorian. All your life, you've lived up to the pedestal of the Order, and was obedient with all the rules the masters have tasked for you. Yes, you did go to dangerous missions with your master, and commanded/befriended many clone troopers. But this kind of adventure with Din Djarin and the child felt so surreal and different.

"Thank you, Din Djarin."

"Ooh! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" The children yelled out.

"Hey! No, we're not together like that," the Mandalorian pointed out, casting his head downwards, "And besides... I've never kissed a girl before."

The children all bursted out laughing. The mere fact that an intimidating man like himself, has never had the courage, or have ever kissed a girl in his lifetime. He could capture any bounty within hours and deliver them just the way he was instructed to, and was one of the feared beings in the outer rim of the galaxy, but he couldn't even control what he's feeling right now.

"Take off your helmet so you could kiss the Jedi lady!" One of the children shouted.

"He's not allowed to take off his helmet, children," you stated.

But the Mandalorian never said anything back to you, indicating that maybe it was permitted just this once, for the sake of following the children's request. You placed your hands on either side of his helmet, slowly lifting it up until you saw the very skin of his chin.

Before you could even remove his helmet even further, you sensed that there was a foreign being in the village. You quickly reached out for your lightsaber as  it levitated off of one of the children's hand and returning to your own. The blue glow emitted, quickly jumping towards the child protectively delivering swift swings with your weapon, deflecting blaster fires from an unknown individual. By the fifth shot, the deflection had finally killed the shooter.

Cara Dune was the first to arrive at the fallen individual, with the Mandalorian rolling the body with his foot, revealing a bounty hunter from the guild. A steady beep was heard from a tracking fob of the child. Not only that, but a puck with your image on the hologram laid beside the fob as well.

"They know both you and the child are here," the Mandalorian stated.

"They'll never stop coming until they their bounty," the ex-shock trooper added. "The three of you need to leave this planet."

***

Winta wept as she held onto the little green bean, "I'll miss you so much."

The child closed its large beady eyes, leaning its head onto the young girl's shoulder as if saying he'll miss her back too.

"We gotta go now, kid," his father instructed.

"We want to thank the three of you for bringing peace to our village," Omera stated.

You flashed a gentle smile to the widow, "You're welcome."

"Until our paths cross?" The built woman stretched her free hand out, while her other carried a sack that slung over her shoulder.

Both you and the Mandalorian shook her hand to bid farewell, hoping that you would indeed stumble with the ex-shock trooper once again.

The three of you headed towards the Razor Crest with the child snuggled comfortably in your arms. The armoured man then sat on the main chair of the cockpit, with you sitting on the chair that was beside him and placing the child onto your lap. The flying vessel ascended into the skies, quickly arriving at the star-filled universe above the clouds.

"Take the kid with you and get some rest in the room downstairs." The Mandalorian instructed.

You nodded and scooped up the adorable green creature, "What about you?"

"I'll be fine. Besides, you did 95% of saving the village last night." His lips crooked a smile, forever impressed with your incredible Jedi abilities.
