In the last chapter:

Knowing that blonde doofus," Kiba began with a small smile, "he'd be confused. Why don't you talk to him?"
"I...I'm scared..."
"Scared, eh?" Kiba sighs. "Just... just do it. You'll be surprised about how he'd answer."
Hinata hesitated for a long time, but nodded anyways. Determination burned in her eyes. "O..okay!"

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Hinata's heartbeat was oddly slow and calm. Just a moment ago it was all crazy and fast, but seeing Naruto in front of her with hope in his eyes seemed to be the reason why she wasn't so nervous anymore.

"N..naruto-kun.."

"Hinata! I didn't think I'd see you again! You know you run really fast. You should join track or something. Have you ever considered it? Oh and by the way-" Naruto rambled on. He was the opposite of Hinata; heart beating fast and hard against his chest. He didn't know why he was like this.

"Naruto-kun-"

"Oh Neji told me some things. And...And heck I was looking all over for you but-"

"Naruto-"

"But you ran like the world was ending and holy shi-"

"NARUTO!" Hinata yelled, immediately stopping Naruto midway of his sentence.

Naruto, never once hearing Hinata yell before, stared at the Hyuga with wide eyes. His blue orbs snapped Hinata's confidence in half when they stared deep into hers. Her palms grew sweaty and Naruto continued to stare down at the female. How am I supposed to tell him I love him, thought the Hyuga.

And like some twisted coincidence, Naruto thought the exact same thing.

Silence filled the air.

Both Naruto and Hinata couldn't confess. It was simply too much for them to handle. With awkward little movements, they continued to stare at each other.

Hinata regretted yelling. The only thing she wanted to do now was to run away- again.

"H...Hinata?" Naruto asked hesitantly. He hated the thick silence between them.

"Naruto..I..." Hinata mumbled.

"What..?"

"I love...."

"Love..?"

"I LOVE YOU!"

Meanwhile, Tenten and Neji were watching from afar.

It was Kiba who stopped their married couple-like fight. And soon the news of Hinata going to confess accidentally slipped out of his mouth. With wide eyes the two teens hurried to watch their "child" confess their love.

"Ten bucks she'll actually confess." Tenten whispered.

"Make it twenty." Neji replied.

"Over confident are we? But sure, it's a deal."

The two shook hands and Neji held on longer than Tenten expected. She looked down at their hands and stared at it.

"Uhm..." Tenten looked back at Neji. "Are you gonna..?"

"Oh, sorry."

Neji let go immediately. With a barely visible blush covering his face, he turned around.

I'm still convinced that my crush likes my best friend, and if it's true, then all I have to do is support them I guess..? You should probably expect another rant if that happens 😂
