Chapter 22
In the last chapter:
"Stay away from them. They could be players for all we know."
Sasuke stares out of the window aimlessly.
"Hold on..." A small smile starts to form on Sakura's lips.
"Are you...jealous?"
-
"Jealous? Me?" Sasuke scoffs. "Hell no."
Sakura stares at the raven with wide, curious eyes. "It sounded like you were, Sasuke."
The said male averted his eyes from Sakura's, drumming his fingers lightly on his thigh. He didn't know how to answer, seeing as Sakura already had him figured out.
Sasuke grunted. "I'm not jealous."
Sakura frowns. "But you—"
"I said I'm not jealous!" Sasuke' voice grew louder, making Sakura's confidence shrink down a size or two.
"I..I'm sorry." She quickly apologized, her gaze once again returning to the carpeted floors. She was scared. Very scared.
Sasuke noticed this.
"Sakura.."
"No, it's okay." The pinkette gulped as she felt a knot form in her throat. She needed to escape from this place. To go to a place where Sasuke wasn't at at the moment. And she needed to leave, right now. "I'm sorry for prying and I just...I have to go."
The pink haired female rushes out of the room, walking straight past Neji and Tenten, but was unnoticed by the couple.
Sasuke watches her leave, not daring, not even trying in the slightest, to run after her.
-
"Hinata!" Naruto yells as his tired feet collapsed under him. He kneels down and catches his breath, thinking to himself how it was impossible to find someone like her in a big hotel like this. "Where is she hiding..?"
Naruto sighs in defeat and leans against a glass wall, looking above and outside to see the brilliant moon shinning down upon him. He wonders if it was mocking him, telling him how pathetic he was for not noticing her feelings sooner.
"She runs pretty fast...maybe she should join track.." Naruto mumbled to himself. It was obvious to everyone that the lavender eyed hyuga was the only thing constantly running in his mind.
With another sigh Naruto got up to retreat to his shared room with Hinata, hoping that she'd go there eventually, not noticing where he was going.
"I'm sorry." A quiet voice apologized as Naruto hit something— someone soft and shorter than him.
"Hinata?" The blonde turns around and catches sight of the hyuga, her indigo hair flowing gracefully behind her as she began to run away away again. "W...wait!"
And so the chase continues.
"Excuse me young man, please stop running!" One of the many hotel keepers says, stopping Naruto on his tracks with a set of boring explanations of hotel rules. "Can this please wait? I have to go after someone!" Naruto explained as he struggled to find Hinata. She had already disappeared—again.
"Young man," the hotel keeper sighed, "there is nothing more important than understanding the basic rules of this hotel. Now, rule number 13.."
Naruto clicked his tongue. Escaping from the hotel keeper would be difficult, but finding Hinata once again would be near impossible.
-
"Man, there's so much drama going on." Kiba sighed. He had witnessed and heard everything. Everything.
The brunette tried to avoid witnessing things, but it was no use; wherever he went, he would always see drama. "First it's Tenten and Neji yelling, then Sakura running away from Sasuke, now Hinata and Naruto?"
Kiba didn't get it. When will they just accept their feelings for each other?
Just because he was single, didn't mean he couldn't notice things like these. In fact, he actually secretly ships them all, just like we do, but never says anything.
But even though he ships, he's growing tired of them being constantly oblivious to one another's feelings.
"Just accept each other and get married, geez.." Kiba grumbled. Putting his hands in his pockets, he strolls around and catches sight of Hinata with her knees brought up to her chest. Seeing her look so sad and embarrassed made Kiba pity her. "Perhaps all they need is a little push...just a tiny one.." Kiba mumbled as he neared the Hyuga.
"Yo," Kiba greeted, his hands still nonchalantly in his pockets. Hinata stares up at the brunette. "Kiba..?"
"The one and only," the said male smirked. "What's wrong?"
Hinata's lavender eyes gazed down at her lap, her lip quivering as she told Kiba what happened.
"Wow," Kiba breathed out, "who knew Neji would be the one to say it.."
The Hyuga nodded silently.
"Knowing that blonde doofus," Kiba began with a small smile, "he'd be confused. Why don't you talk to him?"
"I...I'm scared..."
"Scared, eh?" Kiba sighs. "Just... just do it. You'll be surprised about how he'd answer."
Hinata hesitated for a long time, but nodded anyways. Determination burned in her eyes. "O..okay!"
A/N: Okay so I have to rant, and I'm sorry but I really have to let out my feelings.
So lately I've been feeling like utter shit. Like, I want to scream, tell someone what I'm feeling, rant, cry my heart out-- but I'm scared because the people I tell might think I'm just doing this to gain attention, when in reality I'm just a really, really, REALLY broken person. I can't even bring myself to tell my own family and friends... that's how scared I am. OvO
So I'm smiling and all and I tell myself that other people might have it worse than me. But I still feel like shit and like I'm really empty inside.
The person I like possibly likes my best friend and I hate how I sorta feel jealous and want to disappear. And I don't like how I feel like I'm not good at anything; like I'm not good enough.
I usually just let my anger/ feelings out when I play volleyball, but volleyball season for my school is over so I don't know what to do anymore ;-;-;
Thanks a bunch for reading the story, for waiting for my lazy self to create yet another chapter, and for reading the A/N (if you didn't read the A/N then that's okay).
I'm sorry again for ranting, too.
