Hoenn is fun, but home is sweet
Serena sat, gazing out of a window into the star filled sky. She let out a sigh, causing the window to fog up. She had spent the entire day just sitting there, staring out the window. She hadn't even been taking any notice of what was going on outside the window! She really had been spending all that time, thinking, and pondering what she was going to do next.
Hoenn was great and all, with all its wonderful food, and it's hot springs, but it was nothing like kalos. As much as serena loved hoenn, kalos was where she wanted to to be. It was where she grew up, it was where she learned how to be a ryhorn racer, where she traveled with her crush, and where she made friends and rivals. She thought about how much she loved home. Her happy thought were replaced with dark ones.
What if kalos was being destroyed? What if everyone she loved was dying? She tried not to think about the whatifs. What if, she stopped worrying? She took a deep breath.
She looked around the hotel room she was in. She really didn't want to spend another day in hoenn. She grabbed her bag, and started to collect all her belongings, except for her pajamas, and an outfit to change into. She double checked the room.
Once she was sure that everything was packed, she took her phone out of her vest pocket. She checked to see if there were any flights heading to kalos in the morning. She found one, leaving at ten o'clock the next morning. She booked the flight, and turned her phone off.
She went into the bathroom to change clothes. When she came out in her pajamas, sylveon was sitting on serena's bed, curiously pawing serena's phone, which, serena had left there to go change. Serena went to take the phone, but then noticed a text. She read the text, finding out that sylveon knew how to type.
She set a password on her phone, then set it down on the nightstand beside her bed. She pet sylveon before returning her to her poke ball. Serena turned off all the lights in the hotel room, the settled into bed. She stared at the ceiling, dark thoughts still rushing through her head. Her eyelids dropped, and finally closed, as serena peacefully fell asleep.

The next morning, serena found herself not even on her bed anymore. She got up, feeling sore. She stretched and yawned. She checked the time. Her phone clock read, 8:30 a.m.
Serena rushed to the bathroom with the clothes she had left unpacked. She quickly changed and grabbed all her things. She went down to the breakfast bar in the hotel, quickly making some toast. She shoved a slice in her mouth, while rushing through the lobby.
She swallowed the last bit of her toast, rushing through the doors. She ran along, hurring to the airport, hoping to get there on time. As she made her way there, she thought about what had happened during her time in hoenn. Sure she had many accomplishments, and fun moments, especially when she hung out with her friend May, but she also lost a friend there.
Serena's mind flew to a memory, she had hoped to forget. It was the day after she had become top hoenn coordinator. She was enjoying an evening stroll, her pokemon alongside her. She was just about to pass an alley, when she heard, what sounded like sobbing, coming from it. Cautiously, she ventured down it, the sound getting louder as she went farther down. When she reached the source, she found a small child, crying beside a dumpster.
"Are you lost? Where are your parents?" Serena had asked. Instead of the child answering, it transformed into a zoroark and grabbed the nearest pokemon, which was pancham, and ran off. Serena returned her other pokemon, and chased after it. She spent the entire night, going through a labyrinth of alleyways. She never found zoroark or pancham. She never even saw pancham again.
She pulled away from the memory, noticing she had made it to the airport. She rushed inside, and went through security. She only spent twenty minutes getting everything checked. She patiently waited for her flight to leave. When it was time, she checked her boarding pass. She would be one of the last people to board.
Once on the plane, serena found a seat in the middle row, with no one else. The plane took off, and the fligh attendant explained everything that needed to be known. Serena looked out the window of the plane, knowing that she would be home in only a few hours. Happy with the thought of home, she fell asleep, dreaming of what she would do when she got home.
