Serena sat in her aunt's car, having a normal conversation. "So what's new?" Her aunt asked. "Nothing much. Just preforming in hoenn, you?" Serena returned. "Oh, I have something very important to tell you. But only when we get to my place," she said mysteriously.

Serena looked around her aunt's house, surprised by how nice it looked. "So, what were you gonna tell me?" Serena finally asked. Her aunt looked at her with a mysterious look. "Ok, follow me," she said. Serena followed her aunt to the basement, where was a lab. She saw a man in a lab coat. Except, he wasn't wearing a shirt under it.

He took notice of serena and her aunt. "Hey there!" He said, in a really loud voice. He walked over to them. "Serena, this is my husband, professor kukui," she said. Serena looked really suprised. "You got married...." serena looked really upset. "Seren-" her aunt was cut off. "And didnt invite me to the wedding?!!" Serena suddenly said.

Serena spent the next two hours, getting to know kukui, and just in general, talking. "Aunt bernett?"
"Yes serena?" "I think I'm gonna go to the beach." "Ok. Just be back by eight." With that, serena grabbed her bag, and rushed out the door. She looked at the map she had on her phone. This was going to be fun!

Serena took in the beautiful mele mele beach. It was absolutely gorgeous! She walked along the beach, feeling great. All was going well, until she acedently walked into someone, causing her to lose balance. She fell down in the sand. She stood up, apologizing. "Sorry that I ran into you! I wasn't paying attention," serena quickly exclaimed. "Tch, whatever," the person said. He was just about to walk away, when he noticed something on serena's wrist.

"Where did you get that?" He asked, pointing to serena's wrist. "Oh this? My aunt gave it to me. Why do you ask?" Serena said, confused by the slightest bit. "Let's battle. And I am not taking no for an answer!" He said, in a, what serena though, commanding voice. "Uh, ok," serena said, still quite confused.

The boy threw a poke ball, his eyes not leaving serena's wrist. "Go braixen!" Serena shouted. When both pokemon left the poke balls, the boy was ready. "Lycanroc, use stone edge!" He shouted. "Dodge it and use fire blast!" Serena commanded. Braixen quickly dodged the stones protruding from the ground. She shot a blast of fire at lycanroc, hitting the wolf pokemon. It held its ground, since the move wasn't that good against it. "Use crunch!" Lycanroc's red eyes darted to braixen, and crunched on braixen's arm.

Braixen cried in agony, fainting after she released another move. Lycanroc scoffed. "Go poplio!" Serena shouted. She looked at poplio, knowing that it was poplio's first battle. She had just received poplio from her uncle. "Use hydro pump!" Serena shouted.

After a long hard battle, serena emerged victorious. "Hey, I never caught your name," serena said, returning sylveon, who had just defeated silvally. "Gladion," the blonde roughly replied. "Nice to meet you Gladion! My name is serena!" Serena exclaimed cheerfully.

"Tch," was all that Gladion said. He turned, and walked away. "Well, that was interesting...," serena said to herself. She went to a nearby pokemon center, and then headed back to kukui's house. This was quite the trip.

Serena was almost home, when someone grabbed her by the shoulder. She turned to see a teenager with blue hair. "Can I help you?" Serena said, fear growing inside her head. "Yeah! You are bothering me, with your girly little shoes! And that stupid sylveon I saw you with!" He answered. "I-I...," serena stammered. "Hand over your pokemon!" He shouted. "No!" Serena shouted. She let sylveon out of her poke ball, and gave a command.

The teen quickly released a muk, and had it use a poison move, cutting off sylveon's attack, and fainting her. The teen grabbed serena's wrist, and tried to take her bag. Serena tried to hit him and punch him, but was unsuccessful in doing so. He grabbed her bag, and threw her to the ground, fracturing her wrist.

The teen was about to send muk to attack her, but then a rock throw intercepted it. The teen looked with wide eyes at the attacker. "Gl-ladion! Hey man!" The teen said sheepishly. "Give me the bag," Gladion said with a piercing glare. The teen shaking, handed Gladion serena's bag. "Now go away, before I change my mind," Gladion said darkly.

The teen returned his muk, and ran as fast as he could. Serena could not believe what she just saw happen. Gladion helped serena up. "Thanks," serena said. "Tch"

Serena was brought to the hospital, where her aunt was notified of what happened. And Gladion was nowhere to be seen. He just, dissapeared. After a long time getting her wrist looked at, serena had her wrist put into a purple colored splint.

Hours had passed, and serena was still unable to sleep. How was she supposed to? That day had been super eventful, even though it was her first day there. She sat up, and looked at the splint. She was wondering why that teen had even did that to her. And wondering why Gladion helped her. She only met him that day! And she didnt know really anything about him! She just tried to push every question she had, to the back of her mind.

The next morning serena was eating a giant plate of pancakes. They were the most delicious thing she had ever eaten.
Despite everything that happened the day before, serena was going to try to have a normal day. After eating breakfast, she sat on the couch, and was going to watch TV. Perfectly normal. Until she saw what was in TV.

A boy was battling a gaint pokemon, that apparently belonged to a thief. It was a crazy battle, and wasn't normal at all! Serena moved from the living room to the porch to enjoy the Alolan morning. She was enjoying the ocean side, until a black haired boy ran into a palm tree. Not normal. But she still showed concern for the boy. She ran over to him.

"Are you ok?" Serena asked him. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said. When he looked at serena, serena instantly recognized him. "Ash?!" Then they boy recognized her. "Serena?!" He shouted. They talked for a while, about what was going on in their lives, and serena told Ash all about why she was here. "Serena!" Her aunt called. "I gotta go!" Serena said. "Ok! See you around!" Ash happily exclaimed.

Serena sat at the table, happily grooming sylveon's fur. She couldn't believe it! Ash was here! She was really excited, and couldn't wait to see him again. Her thoughts were interrupted by someone bursting in unannounced.
"I'm back!" He shouted. Serena realized it was ash. They noticed each other, and just stared at each other.
