Seriously, I have never met anyone in this fandom who doesn't like Leo. You can already tell that he is an universally loved character, that is because he is well-balanced.

If you erase his tragic past, and only make him a class clown, he would've been likable, but also annoying. He would've just been in the book for comedic relief (I actually thought he was the comedic relief in the first chapter of Lost Hero).

If you stick with his past, and get rid of his jokey personality, it would've completely ruined his character. He would've been antisocial, angsty, dark and distrusting. I mean, who would want--

*Gasps* Guys, I just imagined an Emo Leo right now, and it's hot!

Sorry, getting off track. Thank you, Rick, for creating this awesome character, and if you kill him off again, I will personally throw you into Tartarus.
