"where are you going? i wanna cuddle!" her girlfriend whined after she stood up and broke the cuddle session with her girlfriend.

she sighed, waving her phone to her girlfriend. her phone was ringing, an unknown number was calling her. "someone's calling me babe"

her girlfriend groans in annoyance before letting the latter go. "dont take long, babe."

right after nodding in reassurance, she paced to the house's backyard.

Unknown number... Calling.

she was confused. who the hell would call her at a time like this? it's barely 12 am in the midnight.

but nonetheless, out of curiousity, she answered the phone and puts it in her ear flap. "who's this?"

"hi, [0@'-]" the other line answers, making her gulp. how did they know her name? oh- right, they called her after all.

"who is this and why do you know my name?" she freaks out a little. it's not like she was scared, but she was at this point.

the other line chuckled. "if you wanna know who i am, meet me at the empty train station tomorrow, 10 pm sharp."

"what the fuck? and why will i do that?" she asked, obviously cannot believe what she just heard.

"hmm?" the other line muffled a laugh. "i dont know... maybe kill your girlfriend?"

her eyes widened. "dont you fucking dare." she grits her teeth out of anger. but she just heard the other line laugh.

"not if you appear on the place where i told you."

"and what do i get in return?"

"reassurance? *chuckle* c'mon, it's just a little ted talk between you, me, and the purge?"

the purge?

"if you're joking, then stop. if you're one of the members, then fuck off, jokes arent supposed to be like this."

"you dont fucking believe me, huh."

"and how am i supposed to believe you—"

"it's me, lee gaeun."

"what the fuck do you want?" gaeun faced her with a smirk before clicking her tongue.

"oh, hi! im glad you showed up."

she glares at her. "that's not the point, tell me what you want so i can go."

she never wanted to show up in the first place. but the fact that the caller was lee gaeun, a merciless murderer who does nothing but kill for a living, is the only reason why she showed up in the dark, abandoned train station.

"chill, bub." gaeun utters, stiffling a laugh before walking multiple steps forward to her. she was intimidated, of course.

"the purge is about to occur next month, am i right?" gaeun asked, in which she just nodded before avoiding the crimsin stare on her. "a-and what about it?"

"oh, that's the reason why you're here." gaeun replies, making her look at the older with a confused face. "i dont get it."

"the mall contains of money. there's a safe from the mall's basement, the money inside is more than 30 billion won."

fuck, money. she whispered under her breath. it was a large amount of money and she couldnt just let go of that amount. she wants to get it. "how did you know about that?"

"you seem interested, huh?" gaeun looks at her with a sly smile. "i have connections....

and i know the vault's password." with that sentence, her eyes looked surprised. sure, the purge was dangerous but it was money, it was godamn money. and she'd risk it for money.

"great, how do i get it?" she asks, looking like she wanted to know how. "and what's the password?"

"chill, honey. it wont be as easy as it sounds." gaeun spoke up, in which her eyes looked at gaeun out of dissapointment. "i'll give you the code, in one condition."

one condition? "and what condition is that?"

gaeun laughs like a maniac. "you see, wouldnt it be unfair that you'll be able to open the vault, and your members will have a share on the money that only you should have?"

"but, it's 30 billion won. we can share" she replied, pursing her lips.

but gaeun smirks at her. "that's not how life works, [redacted]." gaeun lights up her cigarette. "there are people who betrays. wouldnt it be better for you to do it before someone does?"

"do what? betray?" she asked, in which gaeun nods. "exactly."

"look," she glanced at gaeun with a confused face. "if you get all those money, you and your girlfriend could have a lavish life. wouldnt she be happy with that?"

she felt... speechless. gaeun was, as much as she hates it, gaeun was right. her girlfriend will be so happy to live a rich life, an unproblematic one. they can live in their own villa, or start a bussiness, or construct a building. she wanted nothing, but to make her girlfriend happy.

"so what do i do?"

gaeun gave off the scariest smirk she can give before facing her.

"kill your friends."
       

     
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" she freaks out, shocked and scared at the same time. "i will never, NEVER, kill my own friends."

gaeun smiled. "think of this, they're gonna die out there anyway. it's better if you do it, so that you'd be sure they're dead and grab those money, and go somewhere far with your girlfriend."

she cant believe this. the thought of killing her friends is never a good thing.

but what if it is?

"no,"

"come on, i know you're a devil."

"how can you say that?!"

"you almost poisoned your friend, bitch."

she looks at gaeun in pure shock. "h-how did you know..."

gaeun laughs at her, as if mocking her. "i have connections, dear. you were at the restaurant and she made an offensive joke, you were mad to the point where you put a rat menthol on her drink. t'was a good thing it got spilled."

"stop! were you watching every step i make?!"

gaeun chuckles, "maybe i do."

"make up your mind, [redacted]. i dont fucking care about the money. all i want is for them to die."

"remember, you're a demon inside."

"and you are capable of killing"

"you're a killer too..."

"okay." she looks at gaeun, who stared at her in shock. she have made up her mind. she was smirking, she was a demon, after all. she wouldnt be one if she wouldnt agree. "i guess i'll have to kill 10 buddies of mine."
