Sonic: *struggling against ropes*

Sonic: *looks at her with fear*

Sonic: *trying to escape*

Willow: I once hoped for friendship, to have someone who'd just be kind! But those were the childish wishes...*brings Sonic close to her with telekinesis* Of someone who was BLIND!

Sonic: *tries to move*

Willow: Open up your eyes! See the world from where I stand! *starts floating up* We among the mighty, you CAGED at my command! Open up your eyes, give up your SWEET, FANTASY LAND! *brings Sonic face to face with her* It's time to GROW UP, and get wise. Come now "hero." Open up your eyes...

>Flashback<

"We all start out the same, with simple, naïve trust."

Two blurred out kids are shielding a little Willow from bullies.

"Shielded from the many ways, that life's not fair or just."

Seven year old Willow looks around with fear for her friends, before glaring at the ground and crying silent tears.

"But then there comes a moment, a simple truth that you must face."

An eight year old Willow looks with fear at a few large thugs who are looming over her with malicious smiles.

"If you depend on others, you'll never find your place."

An eight year old Willow is lying in an alleyway, covered in bruises, cuts, her tail limp, her ears pinned back, and her arm bending at a worrying angle as the thugs walk away laughing. She whimpers and cries for her friends to help her, to save her from this fear. She shakily gets up, holding her bad arm, and limps out of the alley.

"And as you take that first step, onto a path that's all your own, you see it all so clearly..."

An injured eight year old Willow growls as she walks out and away from the alleyway.

Willow: The best way to survive is all alone!!!

Sonic: *fear and pity are in his eyes*

Willow: *growling* Open up your EYES!!!!! *Sonic and nearby debris are floating around Willow* See the world from where I stand! We among the mighty, you CAGE at my command!

Sonic: *struggling*

Willow: Open up your EYES!!!! And behold the FADED light! *brings Sonic close to her face again with a sneer* It's time to grow up, and get wise. Come now, "hero." Open up your eyes...

Sonic: *gasps at her glowing red eyes*

Willow: OPEN UP YOUR EYES!!!!
