   "Taehyung, what the fuck?!" Yoongi yelled as he stumbled into the cave room, the other nine boys behind him. Out of fear, you slipped back into the water, where you'd be able to get away quickly if one—or all—of them became aggressive. "And you!" Yoongi turned to your brother. "I knew there was something off about you! You're fucking weird!"

   "Don't call my little brother weird!" you shouted, suddenly feeling very protective. Yoongi glared hard at you, causing a frightened whimper to escape your throat. Taehyung's head immediately snapped over to your scared form and slid back into the water, where he wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed your mark, promptly calming you down. Kai dropped his phone into the water and pushed himself onto the dry ground, where he got to work on drying his tail. Everyone stared at he and his tail in disbelief.

   "Taehyung, what's going on?" Seokjin tiredly asked while gently pulling Yoongi to his side. Taehyung gulped and unconsciously tightened his grip on your waist.

   "Uh—Um—I—"

   "We're mermen," Kai jumped in, giving his hyung and sister a short glance. "And my sister is a mermaid."

   "Why didn't you tell us you had a sister?" Yeonjun asked, a betrayed expression on his face. Kai looked away from the ten boys, feeling extremely guilty.

   "And why didn't you tell us you had a girlfriend?" Jimin angrily questioned Taehyung. The latter gulped and went deeper into the water.

   "I told them not to," you projected. All eyes turned towards you. "If my brother told you about me, then it'd lead to other questions about out family that he wouldn't be able to answer. How would he have been able to say that he and I were merpeople that have been left to survive all on our own for over sixteen years? That we don't know our family? Of course he could've said that we were adopted, but then you'd want to meet them. And Tae and I didn't meet until whoever 'Jimin' is decided to push him into the mountain during the Moon Ceremony, which turned him like us."

   "Wait, wait, wait, so you're saying it's my fault that Taehyung is like . . . that now?!" a man you assumed was Jimin exclaimed. "Is this true, Taehyung?" Taehyung awkwardly avoided eye contact with his best friend before nodding. You watched Jimin's eyes tear up as he looked down.

   "It's okay, Minnie, because otherwise I wouldn't have been about to find the love of my life; my mate," Taehyung grinned lovingly while burying his face into your neck. A small giggle escaped your mouth and you turned around in his embrace, burying your face into his naked chest.

   "Aw, y'all are cute," Hoseok smiled.

   "I'm honestly a little upset that you kept this from us, Hyung," Jungkook said quietly. Taehyung glanced up and frowned.

   "Me too, Kai. How could you? We're your best friends," Beomgyu sighed disappointedly.

   "It was necessary for our safety," you said while getting out of the water, Taehyung following behind you. "This is extremely serious. When you ten boys decided to breach our privacy—" The ten boys smiled sheepishly—"you uncovered something that we were hoping would never come out. If any of you tell our secret, then we'd most likely be abducted and sent to labs for testing." Yours and Taehyung's tails were now finally dry and were changing back into legs. You stood up and took a step towards the boys, Taehyung's hands on your waist protectively. Kai moved over to your side. "If anyone of you tell our secret, you're murderers. Let that be a warning for you, because if someone takes my brother or mate away from me, I'll drag you out into the bottom of the ocean and watch as you drown." You knew immediately that you scared them by the look in their eyes. They all nodded frantically.

   "Great!" Taehyung suddenly exclaimed while smiling brightly. "Now that the secret's out, we don't have to walk on eggshells anymore! Baby," you turned and faced him, "you can come out of this room now! Hooray!" You giggled cutely, completely contrasting to your serious front a few seconds ago. Taehyung chuckled and captured your lips for a few seconds in a sweet kiss.

   "I love you," he whispered.

   "I love you more," you smiled with your head cocked to the side.

   "Ew! Love," Yoongi disgustedly said while covering his eyes. Everyone laughed besides you and Taehyung, who shot him a glare.

   "But isn't that what we're in?" Seokjin asked with a smirk. Yoongi turned a dark red.

   "Hyung!" Yoongi whined while repeatedly hitting the oldest on the chest. Jin chuckled and pecked Yoongi's lips briefly before taking off the way he came. Yoongi sat there frozen for a few moments before coming back to his senses.

   "KIM SEOKJIN!" WE AGREED NOT TO TELL THEM YET!" Yoongi screamed while taking off down the hall after his boyfriend.

   "Well, they're cute," you said after a couple moments of staring.

   "Yep."
