Ch#50: Your Love Is My Victory

"What would you say in your clearance, Miss Han Y/N?"

The heavy voice of the judge echoed in the court room, requiring for a last response to adjourn the case. But you felt your throat burning with the flames of the pain receiving from the person you loved the most once.

Your eyes glued on Jimin's face who sat opposite to your handrail, a victorious smirk plastered on his lips. All his 'proofs' against you were accepted by the court.

He didn't put any false accusation on you to be retarded or drunkard or any other thing. But he chose very sensitive excuses for his mission. His claim that you were homeless was true, his claim that you were jobless was also true. His claim that the child wasn't yet registered with his father's name and needed to be done also had volume.

You couldn't even claim about your old house because those documents were also with Jimin. He didn't leave you with a single option.

You didn't resist any of the claims, but never in your entire life had you imagined that he would cross all the limits of selfishness, that he would use that reason as a tool which made you sit at home jobless. Presenting the argument between you and Mr Lee Daejung as an excuse for not being able to upbringing your child, he showed that nothing mattered in his eyes save for his own ego.

"Your honour," You said with a burning throat, "it is an accuse on me. I didn't misbehave with Mr Lee. Instead..."

You paused, collecting the guts to speak the fact in front of the people that made you bury alive before, and now was the second time.

"Instead...Mr Lee had called my daughter illegal and fatherless which enraged me and I quit his service in exasperation. I can bear anything but that insult."

"All right, Miss Han Y/N. We accept it. But you must admit that you yourself quit the job and now you are jobless. And nobody knows when you are going have another one. Which means you won't be able to bear the girl's expenses neither can you provide her a shelter as you don't have any for yourself too."

The prosecutor spoke up, on which you turned your head towards him.

"What would you say about that?"

You felt like your mouth got zipped. It seemed like you were left in a maze, the door of which opened toward Jimin. You weren't left with a single choice. You closed your eyes tightly, lowering your head in dismay. Gulping hard, you opened your mouth to tell him your decision.

"If Mr Park Jimin keeps the baby, he must allow me to see her once in a week. And I will be allowed to take her with me to my friend's house as I'm currently settled there."

The prosecutor turned to the judge and spoke with a loud voice.

"Your honour, the matter is clear. Miss Han has given her decision according to which the child goes in the custody of her father Mr Park Jimin. We don't have any objections on the compromise, I'm sure no one else here has any, either."

The grip of your hand on your skirt tightened. Never had you felt so defeated and broken like now you were. Despite trying to hold back your tears, your eyes disobeyed you.

"No, wait. I have an objection."

A silvery voice echoing in the room made you lift your head up and find a hyped Seokjin standing in the entrance.

"Miss Han Y/N will not give her daughter in Jimin's custody as she isn't jobless or homeless anymore."

He came forward and, handing the documents to the court officials, said.

"She is the owner of a two storey apartment in Josephine housing society, Seoul. And..."

He paused before putting his glance at you.

"She's my personal secretary from today."

The prosecutor looked at Jimin in frustration who already had turned grey.

The judge, after checking the documents of your new house and appointment letter of the job, announced that the claim of paternal custody on the child was seeming completely baseless.

And for the shock of Jimin, the case went in your favor. But before getting adjourned, the prosecutor put the same condition in front of you as you did a few minutes before. Visiting the child once in a week, on every Friday.

As soon as the judge adjourned the case, Jimin stood up from his seat and stormed out of the court room without even putting a glance over you or Seokjin.

You knew this sudden turn of the tables was unbearable for him. He didn't want to accept the defeat, he didn't have the courage to stand before you now.

Seokjin headed towards you. You stood up from your seat and stepped towards him.

"I told you I'll never let you fall."

Tucking your hair back in your ear, he said. The genuine smile on his lips seemed to be salving your heart that time. You looked at him with eyes filled with the emotions of thankfulness. What if he wasn't there right now? Jimin would have taken the last and most precious thing from you.

Luna was shocked at the news of you shifting back to Seoul. At one side she was happy for you for winning the case, but at the other, she was sad that she would be alone now. And at the third side, she was very clearly jealous...for the fact that Seokjin was trying to achieve your attention more than needed. Even though she didn't say anything about that, but her reaction was enough to prove it.

Like always you stayed quiet on her behavior and started packing your stuff.

Mr Lee Daejung was working on his laptop in his office. His new secretary was also standing beside him, when the door opened with a slam, revealing a fuming Jimin. Before Mr Lee could get anything in his mind, Jimin stormed towards him and grabbed him by his collar.

"Who are you and what the hell are you doing here?"

Asked Mr Lee with a brow furrowed, trying to let himself go off Jimin's grip. But instead of a word, Jimin swung his fist in the air and almost broke his jaw. Mr Lee fell on the front table.

The secretary let out a scream and ran outside, flabbergasted.

Jimin grabbed his collar again and threw another fist on his face. The situation was above Mr Lee's head.

"Who the hell are you?? Stop it! Get out or I'll call the police!"

Despite his thousand attempts, Mr Lee couldn't defend himself from this guy. Jimin, never giving him a chance to raise his hands on him, beat him till he almost lost his consciousness.

"I dare you do it."

Jimin bellowed.

"Call the police," Said Jimin, picking him up from the floor for the thousandth time,
"And tell them that the father of that child beat the shit out of you whom you called fatherless. Tell them that the husband of that girl beat you on the character of whom you raised a finger."

Jimin didn't know the complete background of Y/N quitting the job. It was his mistake that he gathered the information from a common worker of Aria Textile Mills. That was the reason when Y/N revealed the truth in the court, he felt like the ground slipped under his feet. He didn't remember what was said after that. All that echoed in his ears was the statement of hers.

He could bear anything, but a finger on her character? Not at all. He knew she could die but she would never commit jilt. He knew that she was not like him.

This was the reason he didn't say anything to her, and straight headed to this bastard to cut his tongue and give it in his hand.

The security guards of Mr Lee were trying to separate him from their boss, but he seemed like a raged lion that time who wasn't willing to let him go.

Two of the guards separated their boss from Jimin and the rest still kept struggling with him.

"Keep hold on him. Call the police." Yelled one of them, but Mr Lee stopped him.

Jimin let himself free of the guards' grip and grabbed  his collar again.

"You made a huge mistake." Getting his face closer to his, Jimin hissed, "and you will repay for it. This was just a teaser for what you are going to receive."

Before the guards again separate them, he threw him back on the floor and, correcting his shirt, he stormed out with long graceful steps just the way he had come.

"We should file a harassment case on this man, Sir."

Supporting him to stand up, suggested the general manager of Mr Lee, on  which he shook his head abruptly.

"No, don't," Wiping the blood from his lips he spoke up in a weak voice, " I don't want any scandal to be arisen."

He was a coward. He didn't have the guts to do that. He had known if someone could beat the shit out of him for just a single statement, how far he would go after the harassment case. Lee wanted to solve this matter in his own way.

He wanted to take revenge for insulting him in his own office in some other way. He wanted to show him how monstrous and revengeful he could be.

Poor him!

He didn't know what kind of monster Jimin was!
