How could it be?
How could he reach to you?

You covered your mouth with your palm, trying to compress that sob that eagerly wanted to come out. Only hearing his sobs revived each and every scene of your memories from which you still were trying to get rid.

His smiles, his talks, his promises, his love; each and every thing scratched the blains of your heart.

Before he could say something else, you immediately hung up the call and let that sob out which was squeezing your heart.

"Y/N?" Asked Luna as she noticed your condition, "is everything okay?"

The angle of your glossy eyes turned towards her and she got that something was definitely was not okay. She got up from the sofa and sat beside you, on the other couch. Putting her hand on your shoulder she asked.

"Tell me Y/N, what happened?"

"He- he called m- me," Your voice came out as a stutter. Fears evident in your eyes. Luna's brows furrowed a bit.

"Who called you?"

"Jimin," Your lashes quivered, thinking about the fears raising in the back of your mind. If they came true? If he really got a reach to you, again?
You knew if he entered into your life again, he would turn it into ashes this time, and you were not ready to throw your life into hell, not at all.

"What?" Her eyes spread in shock, "how did he get your number? And from where?"
She didn't believe her ears if what she heard was really true.

"I guess I know," You gave a slow nod at her question, staring at an invisible point.

"It's Taehyung behind it. I knew he would tell him about me. That's the reason I was resisting to give him our contacts, but you believed him and that brought us to a new affliction. I'm not ready for this, Luna. Not at all."
The volume of your voice went high with every single word. A small mistake could again put you into suffering, not just you but this time your daughter too.

Luna put her hand on your trembling hand and patted your back to calm you down.

"Relax. Don't take it wrong. It's quite possible Taehyung is not behind it." She presented her thought.

"How? I know he is. It's not been even a week that he left back to Seoul and Jimin called me today. Is it not a sign to what my fears are?" You said, going mauve in rage. Seemed like your brain vessels would explode out of pressure. Throwing your head in both your hands, you let out an exhausted sigh.

"Y/N, here look at me," Said Luna, cupping your face in her hands she looked into your eyes.

"So what if he took your number from him? He can't go any further from it. Even if he reaches you, he would never be able to harm even an inch of yours."
She assured you, but your heart kept sinking in the depths of your stomach, thinking about Mona.

"What if he tries to take Mona away from me?"
You worded out the biggest fear of yours. Just the thought of Mona getting away from you scared you to the core. How would you live without her? She was the biggest reason why you were alive till yet. She was cause of your happiness, your biggest weakness she was.

"No way. What do you think we would let him do it?"
Luna shook her head briefly, "Always remember,Y/N. You are not alone this time. I am with you. If he tries to think of any such thing, we will make him taste the consequences. We'll fight every bale this time, together." Pressing your hands in hers, she said with an assuring smile. Her voice was firmer than a rock. You gave her a slight nod and reflected her the same smile.

He stared at the phone receiver for a couple of seconds with a broken heart and then fixed it on the cradle. He had some kind of thought that his sudden call would put Y/N into doubt. He wanted to tell her that it wasn't Taehyung's fault. He wanted to tell her that he himself had found her number through Taehyung's phone contact list.

He wanted to tell her how much he suffered after her, that how yearned to hear at least one word from her, to see at least one glimpse of her. He wanted to tell her that his daughter was so beautiful,just like her. Oh how much there was he wanted to say! But she didn't listen a single word and left him still yearning.

He got out of the telephone booth and headed to his car with dead feet. He had been searching for her for more than two years, he had decided to take his heart out for her to know how his life was without her, or was it even life to be called? But hearing her voice made him forget every other thing in the world. He felt like he never knew how to form words. The happiness of hearing her, finding her back was at its peak. But at the same time the hurt of her cutting the line, not even wanting to hear his voice, was choking him to death.

But he was not disappointed. He didn't give up. He believed if he could get to hear her voice, then it's was also possible he could see her. And the thing that could be the warrant for reaching out to her was the contact number. He gathered the franchise record of the number, each and every information about it; the exact location, and to his immense surprise it turned out to be in Jeju city.

"Jeju city," He mumbled to himself, "so she's in Jeju now." Talking to himself he came out of the franchise office and settled in his car, deciding to catch the next flight to Jeju.

His felt his heart exploding in mixed feelings of excitement, curiosity, and fear. Excitement to see her, curiosity about his daughter and fear of her reaction.

"Hey!"
Seokjin chirped as soon as Luna opened the main door. She was surprised to see him again just after a week.

"What a pleasant surprise!"
Caging him in a hug, she exclaimed joyfully. You were in your room but at the ring of the doorbell you came downstairs to check the visitor. But until you reached, Luna had already brought him in.

"Hey, Y/N. What's up?" He came to you and wrapped you in his arms. You were surprised to see him.

"I'm good. How nice to see you! What brought you here?" Giving him back a hug, you asked.

"You-" He said on which you, instantly breaking the hug, gave him a perplexed look. His heart jumped to his throat on his own words.

"No- I mean I was here to meet one of my business dealers so I thought why not see you too."
He presented a prompt excuse, pasting a sheepish grin on his lips. His excuse clicked something in your mind. You kept staring at him for a couple of seconds with squinted eyes and he kept getting nervous with every passing moment. His eyes roamed around every corner of the lounge just to hide from your gaze.

"Oh come on, Y/N! Now spare him, and let him sit peacefully." Luna spoke up, coming in between you two and grabbed his arm, " Come, sit." She said and pointed to the couch and sat beside him. Following them both, you grabbed a seat opposite to them.

He talked about the previous week and his busyness. Every now and then you thought to ask him whether he discussed anything to Jimin about your previous meeting but some unknown fear stopped you from doing so.

You considered it better to leave that topic for a suitable moment and joined them in the random conversation.

"Oh and I thought I should take you guys for shopping and amusement park in the evening. What do you say Y/N?"

Although his question was from both of you, he directly looked at you to know your opinion about his suggestion. Luna at once passed her opinion.

"Great idea! We've not done any kind of enjoyment for a while. I'm in."

He looked at you to give an answer. To be honest your mood was not allowing you to go anywhere. Moreover Mona would also get irritated as she was not used to be in public much. You were about to say 'sorry' when Seokjin, with eyes glistening with the light of hope, spoke up.

"I would be very happy if you come, Y/N-ie."

And your tongue got tied. The special sweetness of his tone alarmed you. Slowly turning your gaze to Luna, you prepared for an excuse but she had already told her decision. None of them listened to you and so you, despite wanting to stay home, got ready to go shopping with them.

But the aura sensing from his behavior was giving some strange alerts. Even at the mall, Luna kept showing him her choices and he kept showing you his choice for you. You tried to keep distant a little but he caught up to you anyway. He even took Mona from you to ease your time.

"Uh- I guess I should go check the second floor and choose a pair of shoes."
He was checking the top Luna was showing him when your words grabbed his attention.

"Sure, why not? Let's go."
He said with a smile and turned with you. Him paying special attention to you was felt by Luna. She fixed the top in the hanger again and said.

"You can go if you want to. I and Seokjin are here, we can wait for you. You'll find us right here when you come back. And Mona is already with us anyway."

God knew why, you sensed some unpleasant essence in her tone. But you took it better to keep quiet about it.

"It's okay, no problem. I was just telling you by the way. I can go alone. I'll manage." Forcing a smile on your lips, you replied and turned but Seokjin stopped you with his question.

"You sure, Y/N?"

"Yeah sure, you stay with Luna. I'll be right back."
With your reply, he passed you a smile. You smiled back and headed to the lift to get to the second floor, never knowing you would regret your decision later.

The lift stopped on the second floor and the elevator door opened. Before you got out of it, the view of the person standing in front of you made you freeze at the point you were. You felt like your heart stopped beating.

Jimin was lost in his phone and as soon as he realized the elevator had stopped he put his phone in jeans' back pocket and lifted his head up. But that, you might say, could be the biggest mistake of his, for when he saw you standing right before him he felt the environment around him had stopped. His breaths hitched and mouth left agape.

His eyes locked in yours and body went too numb to move even an inch, unable to take a step.

You felt like your feet were glued on the place they were. Your eyes started kindling because of the flames you felt in your heart right now. Despite a hundred wishes you confessed yourself unable to run away from that place.

Jimin tried to call your name but the elevator door closed at the moment his lips formed your name.

"Y- Y/N!"
A small whisper left his mouth and he rushed to stopped the elevator door but until he reached, you were again caged in the lift.
