[1] Suffering

As always, your stuck with making a meal. No one else ever cooks. You make everything, clean everything, and just do basically everything in general.

You pull out a pan from the pantry and place it atop the stove, setting it to a medium heat. You then plop a bowl onto the counter, grab the butter, and other ingredients for the pancakes.

You began mixing the pancake mixture in the bowl, adding a few extra ingredients every now and then. Watching closely you poured some mixture onto the pan, after letting the butter slide gently around in the pan. While you were waiting, you grabbed the spatula and tossed it up in the air.

As it gently glided through the air your eyes watched and you felt time slow down around you. Your frown stretched across your face and you felt as if it was only you and your thoughts left in the world.

When can you leave? Never. When can you finally be happy? Never. What did you do to deserve this? Everything.

Your thoughts were cut off by the sudden impact of the spatula, smashing against your face. Somehow, your reflexes were quick enough to catch the spatula before it hit the ground. You swirled around to the stove and quickly flipped the pancake to the other side. Luckily the pancake didn't burn, or who knows what kind of punishment you'd get...

(Timeskip,cuz pancakes)

After placing the last pancake onto the plate you carried the plate to the dining room table and set it down gently. You grabbed plates, cups, forks and butter knives and set them all down neatly on the table. As you were going to get the juice, you were forcefully pushed against the wall from your siblings racing to the table. You only sighed and rubbed your arm, then walked to the refrigerator and grabbed some juice.

You walked back to the table and unscrwed the cap of the juice, and began to pour it into your fathers cup. "Not so much fool!" You slightly quivered at the sound of your fathers voice booming through the halls. "I-I'm sorry..." Your voice was quiet. A tidal wave of fear flowed through you as your father glared at you with anger showing in his cold eyes. He smacked you across the face, sending you straight to the floor.

A tear scurried down your face as you rested your hand on your aching cheek. "I hope that leaves a bruise," Your sister, Julia began, "You deserve it." She snickered at your pain. They all found it funny when you were hurt. You looked to your brother Jonas and only saw him along with Julia laughing and pointing at you.

Your head drooped and you stood up slowly, wiping your face with your arm and walking to the fridge. You stood up on the ball of your foot and yanked down the dog food. As soon as you pulled it down you heard your little pitbull, Ming, running down the hallway. She hopped around happily, trying desperately to get to the dog food in your hands. You giggled at her actions and poured the dog food into the bowl, then filled the other bowl with water.

Walking back to the table you saw that everyone had gotten the amount of food they wanted. Meaning you can now take whatever they didn't eat. You sat down and placed the last pancake on your plate. Honestly you weren't really hungry. So you just poured a bit of syrup on the pancake, and ate it quickly.

As you were getting up you accidentally bumped the table, causing your fathers cup to fall over. The juice splashed out the cup onto your father's lap as you stared in horror. You began to shake violently as you felt your heart begin to pound rapidly. Your father slowly turned to face you, pure anger clear in his eyes.

He got up slowly, and your eyes darted around as you could notice the veins on his arm popping out from how tight his fists were clenched up. His face turned red with anger as he took a step towards you. You wanted to step back, but you couldn't, you were to scared.

"Did you just, knock over my cup?" He growled lowly. You opened your mouth but nothing came out. "Fucking Answer me." He growled again. You stared into his eyes fearfully. He towered over you and before you knew it the vase from the table was smashed against your arm and you fell to the ground.

He picked you up by your neck and punched you right in your eye. Your voice cracked as you tried to scream and began to flail your feet around. His other hand wrapped around your neck and you tried desperately to remove them. You started to become weak before he dropped you to the ground. Realived you gasped for air, your hand rubbed over your neck slowly. Your vision was blotchy, and was clearing up slowly.

You weakly stood up but you were pushed into the wall then kicked in the stomach. Falling to the ground you curled up as the tears leaked out your eyes. Your father gave you a look of discust before stomping off to get a towel. You stayed in the same position, sobbing madly.

You pulled your hoodie over your gray shirt and pulled on your black shorts with the black and white stripped knee high socks. You zippered the hood and wrapped your scarf around your neck to hide the handprints your father left from earlier, then threw on your black sneakers.

Although it had just turned fall no one at your job ever seemed to care. You'd wear the randomist things there so you can hide your new bruises from everyone. Somehow, everyone believed your lies and eventually stopped asking. You put on an eyepatch and picked up the backpack you had just packed. You weren't actually going to work and didn't intenend on coming back.

You were gonna run away.

You grabbed a leash and walked to Ming, hooking it onto her collar. She seemed excited as you began to walk to the door. Ming jumped around as she made her way out the door, practically pulling you outside. You smiled at her barely and called down the hallway, "I'm off to work."

No one said anything so just rolled your eyes and shut the door. A cool breeze flowed by as you inhaled the crisp fall air. Ming was jumping around, attempting to grab leaves with her mouth. You giggled at how adorable she was and began walking.

Where to go? You pondered as you kept walking. You really didn't care, as long as it was far away from your dad, sister, and brother. You sighed at the thought.

The walk was silent besides ming walking through the small bit of leaves on the ground. You pulled out your phone and put in your [F/C] headphones. Turning on the 'shuffle' button the first song that came on was "Best day of my life (Acoustic)" You smiled as the song seemed to be perfect.

As your house slowly faded from your view it was like a weight had been lifted off of you. It was such a great moment and you wanted it to last forever. Ming seemed to sense your happy vibe which made her seem more happy than she always is. You only giggled at her behavior. For once you could giggle without feeling like your going to get in trouble.

You could only smile at this feeling.

(le skip of le time)

Placing Mings vest on and putting her in her carry on, you walked into the mall. Ming was a present from your mother before she left, and she was registered as an emotional support dog. So the mall had no problem with her since you worked there. People would always ask why you had an emotional support dog since you seemed fine, besides you being really quiet and acting completely different some days. They seemed to notice it would upset you so they'd just leave you be.

Since you didn't actually want to go to work you decided to go the food court. You still weren't really hungry, but there was nothing else to do. Shoping would be pointless, since you had nowhere to go the clothes would probably get dirty. It'd just be a waste of money, and you can't be wasting money, especially since tou didn't know where you would be staying.

You walked up to the food court and looked around. A few monster places were there. Honestly you found the monsters fascinating and wanted to know all about them. You spotted a few places. One place was multiple shades of purple, and behind the counter stood a purple monster. She had five eyes, and four arms, so you assumed she was a type of spider like being. The sign above said 'Muffets' in big letters. They seemed to mostly sell pastries.

You smiled a little and continued looking around. But instead of seeing another monster place you saw something you never wanted to see. Something that made your heart drop to your stomach. Your smile disappeared and your mood changed. You could feel the emotions swimming through you like your body was a pool as your sight began to get blurry from the tears you were holding in.
