12/19/16 (Jay's POV)

Once we got back I had to carry a sleeping Ash. I'm not complaining though I just wish that she would open up to me a little more. I sigh and lay her down on her bed. I have to admit it was hard getting up there. I sit on her bed and stare at her. After all the chaos we've been through I can't blame her for not accepting me. She sniffs the air and suddenly her eyes snap open. I jump back and start running. "Jay." She calls to me. I freeze. "Look we need to talk." I turn around slowly and see her with sleepy eyes, but they had a serious look in them.

She gestures for me to sit down. "Look, Jay don't get the wrong idea. I like you, more than I would like to admit, but after all I have been through so far...I think it's best if I can adapt to a normal life as who I am now before getting anywhere with the mate thing. I...just..." Ash sighs "I just want to be free for a bit." she says. I nod my head in response, not wanting to rush her.

"Ash I completely understand. You out of all people had it the worst, yet you still come out smiling...how do you do that?" I ask. "Well you always have to keep smiling, even if it has to be forced, you have to smile for those around you." I smile at her words and we sit in her room in silence for a while before her face turns red.

"Well you probably should be going." Ash grabs my arm and starts leading me out of her house. She pushes me out the door and before I can protest she says "Bye have a nice day." and slams the door in my face. Before I leave I hear her screaming in frustration. Thanks to my keen hearing, I hear every bit of what she says. "Gosh I am such an idiot. Why did I throw him out?" she kicks a table "No I don't you stupid cat."

I chuckle and walk away. She still fights with her animal spirit. "Don't act so tough you do it too." Levi growls at me. "Shut up you stupid wolf." I say back. I walk straight next door to my house and unlock it. "Home sweet home." I mutter and flop on the couch. The room was dark so I couldn't see anything. the rays of the setting sun make their way through the blinds as I fall asleep.

Dream

I wake up in a random bed in a random house. I look to my side and see Ash sleeping. I rub my face with my hands and feel a cold metal on my hand and stubble on my chin. My hand had a ring on it's finger as well.

I slowly get out of bed and take one last look at Ash. She had a lump right next to her stomach, but I couldn't see what it was because of the blanket. Curiosity killed the cat and the wolf followed. I lifted the blanket only to find Ash's stomach. I drop the blanket and stare at her with wide eyes. I rush to the bathroom to take a look at myself. I look like I haven't left the house for days. I splash water in my face again and again then look again in the mirror. I then suddenly hear Ash's scream. I rush to the bedroom and see Ash's eyes wide and she holds her stomach. "Jay..." she says before my vision turns black.
