Aphmau flipped Zenix off, I couldn't help but laugh. She gave me a shy look & looked away fast. Oh god, Aaron didn-
"H-hey gene, can I talk to you?"
"Ap-"
"Please?"
I couldn't resist her.
"Ugh, fine!"
I placed my hands down on the ground to help push myself up, Sasha gave me a look, like a 'you'll love it' kinda look?
"Gene?"
"Aphmau?"
"S-so, t-tomorrow!"
"Oh, yeah, it's up to you what movie you wanna see, or e-even if you don't wanna watch a movie, up to you!"
I smiled. Her entire face lit up.
She was beautiful.
Her heart was taken by someone who broke her heart.
I wanted her for so long, now that I could take her, I couldn't do that. Aaron did a very stupid move letting her go, breaking her precious hear-
"You even listening, dummy?"
"h-huh? oh, oops?
She sighed playfully.
"Of course"
"Aphmau, I wanna tell you something..."
She stood frozen for a minute, her eyes shimmered in the sunlight.
"I-uh, sure!"
"Aph, please, answer me this."
"Yeah..?"
"How much did- or do you love Aaron?"
She didn't say a word, her entire body just went cold.
"I'd rather not talk about me..."
"Aphmau, what am I to you..?"
She blushed a really deep red, she started to hesitate.
"A-a f-uh.. Great f- Cru- i-i don't know, just someone very close! Why do you ask...?"
I smiled, I opened my arms wide.
"Here-"
Before I could even say another word, I felt her body run into mine & her arms tightly around my neck, my arms around her waist. All I wanted to do was kiss her, but it was too soon...
she didn't let go, at all. Her body became warmer, and her grip became tighter as the hug went on...
"Come on love birds, we're hungry, we're going back to school..."
"Fine!"
Aphmau let go & looked up at me.
"Gene, thank you."
"For what, kitty?"
I smirked, she laughed.
"You made me feel a hundred percent better, thank you.."
"Hey, you know we are always here."
"y-yeah."

-School-

Sasha & Zenix went off somewhere, leaving Aph & Myself alone in the cafeteria.
"You okay?"
I looked down.
"Yeah, how bout' you cutie?"
"Uh? Cutie..?"
"I-IMEAN-"
She giggled & wrapped her arm around my waist, i couldn't help but smile, but that moment was over really quick.
"A-Aphmau?"
She froze as she was grabbing her food. Her whole face went dark.
"What."
It sounded like she was grinding her teeth.
I turned around & it was ivy.
"Oh hey gene! Long time no see hunky!"
She went to hug me. I tried to push her off, then Aphmau turned around.
A scary side of her showed.
She grabbed ivy by the back of her shirt, dragged her to the floor, stared at her & almost immediately, had ivy in tears.
"Aph? Aph? APH!"
"H-huh?"
She turned around with that cute smile, but something was off.
"W-what was that?"
She looked around & saw Aaron with lily. Her & Aaron made eye contact, she grabbed my arm & started to run, run fast.
I pulled my arm in.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"I'll explain soon, just gene, do as I say, or you'll see something you'll regret."
I believe her, so as a dog, I did what I was told.

-Gene's house-

As soon as we arrived at my house, aphmau's hair started to turn greyer.
"Now, I REALLY need an explanation."
"Gene, I know, but you have to believe me, i dont know why this happens."
I looked at her & she started to cry.
I opened my arms, suggesting a hug, she ran into my arms & felt her arms tightly grip the back of my waist.
"Please, d-don't let go." She faintly whispered before she slept.
I just stood their awkwardly, i waddled over to my bed, with her around my waist, I placed her into bed first, made the pillows comfortable, then snuggled her so she was warm, I didn't care if I was freezing.
At least, she was warm.
She gigggled, snored, moved around, groaned, laughed. No matter how many times, my love for her became stronger with every move she took, the way her hair was perfectly placed, her tanned skin reflected the pain of her rude past, her blushed cheeks as she slept deeply, her voice in those exhausted sleep talks, she was just adorable.
"I think I'm ready to call you mine."
I crept out of bed very gently, looking back constantly to make sure I didn't wake the sleeping angel.
I exited the room.
I went downstairs to see a text from Zenix & Sasha.
"Yo, love birds.
We ain't coming over, we know your plan, we left flowers out the front, no need to repay us, at least we can do one good thing to help someone lmao, we couldn't care less, cya!"
I sighed  uncomfortably. I placed the stove on the highest heat & decided to cook Aph some pancakes.
"G-gene?"
"Downstairs."
