That Was Awesome!
After a fun weekend with my friends, it was finally Monday. I always dreaded Mondays. Monday meant the fun was over, and everyone was back to their boring old school routines. The only thing keeping me going during these Mondays was a certain raven haired boy who, despite his menacing appearance, was probably the sweetest boy I had ever met.
"Angel face!" And there he was, calling for me on my front porch. He couldn't stand to wait one more second to see me, "Angel face, c'mon!" But to be fair, I couldn't wait to see him either.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I cried, slinging my backpack on, and dashing to the front door. As soon as I saw his pretty pink tinted face, I smiled.
"Hey punk boy," I greeted, shutting the door behind me, "Sorry, I had woken up a little late." The air was quite chilly, causing me to shiver.
"Oh, it's alright. C'mon..."
He held a loving arm around my shoulders. Light snowflakes fell from the sky as we walked to the school. Even with his radiating body heat, I was still shivering from the cold. These damn skirts...
"Angel face, you cold?"
"Well yeah, it's freezing out here."
"Here..." He slipped off his blazer and rested it over my shoulders, "Better?" I nodded.
This is the second time he's done this... given me what is basically his only source of warmth in the freezing cold... my love...
I kissed his cheek. His skin felt soft yet cold beneath my lips. Gerard turned to me and smirked.
"Angel face," I smiled. He kissed my cheek in return. My skin became warm for only a second before it was submerged back into the cold, "Y'know, I think you're the prettiest girl I've ever met."
I sent a look saying, 'Really? How could that be?' He brought his cold fingers to my cheeks and kissed me ever so passionately. When he pulled away, he held a strange look I hadn't seen before. The best way to describe it is, well, if this were a cartoon, he'd have the prettiest stars in his eyes. But, this is no cartoon. As much as I'd like it to be.
"Punk boy..." Was all I said with a smile on my face and my head against his shoulder.
He kissed the top of my head as we walked into the school. Frank, Ray, Mikey, and Hayley all sat at a table together in the commons/cafeteria. As of right now, Brendon was nowhere in sight.
I handed Gerard his blazer, now becoming fairly warm. He took it and slipped it back on.
"Sup guys," Gerard greeted them.
"Sup," They each spoke as Gerard and I sat beside each other. Now punk boy held my hand underneath the table. Very little happened as we sat with our group, but once the bell rang, it became a different story.
"C'mon angel face," I walked beside Gerard on our way to first period. On our short walk, we were soon interrupted by, well, you can take a wild guess.
"Y/n, hey babe..." Brendon spoke with a smirk.
"I'm not your babe. I'm Gerard's."
"That's right! Get outta here! Shoo shoo!" Gerard let go of my fingers and made shooing motions with his hands.
"No! You shoo! I..." We just walked past him, not giving a damn about what he had to say this time.
"Hey! Don't walk away from me! I'm trying to talk to you!"
"That guy is so annoying." Gerard said with an irritated tone.
"I know right? So annoying," I agreed.
"I can hear you!" Gerard whipped his head around towards the brown haired boy.
"That's the point! Go away!" Gerard cried before entering our first period classroom with me close behind, "I hate that guy."
"Me too!" I exclaimed, taking my seat. Gerard sat in front of me, but turned around in his seat.
"One of these days I'm gonna punch his face in so hard he won't be able to speak."
"You'd do that for me?" Punk boy smirked.
"Of course..."
"Sweet..." I leaned in and pecked his lips, just as the bell rang. He sent one last look to me before turning around in his seat.
Time skip to just before lunch
Like any other day, the math bell rang, and Ryan walked with me to my locker.
"Did you understand the homework at all?" He asked.
"Not really, I'm not too good at math."
"Me neither," Ryan leaned against the lockers beside mine as I twisted the lock around, "Do anything fun this weekend?"
"Ryan, I saw you this weekend."
"Yeah but like, besides the party." I shut my locker and we began walking towards the commons.
"Uhm, I mainly just hung out with Gerard. You?"
"Had Pete over for a bit. That's pretty much all." I hummed.
"Having any parties anytime soon?"
"Nah, Patrick's throwing one this weekend though. If you'd like to come." We now were walking through the commons, but stood once we got to our separation point.
"Uhm, maybe, I'll have to see what the others wanna do."
"Do you guys hang out like, every weekend?"
"Of course, we hang out a lot." He hummed.
"Well, I should..." He pointed to his direction.
"Yeah, see ya!" We waved to each other before parting ways. I took a seat beside Gerard, as always.
"Hey babe," I greeted.
"What were you and Ryan talking about?" He asked, abruptly, with his eyes glued to the spot Ryan and I had been standing.
"Oh, he was just telling me about a party at Patrick's happening this weekend," Gerard hummed, turning to me, "Why?"
But he didn't have to answer. His jealous eyes were all I needed. I smiled, holding his cheeks in my hands, and bringing my face close so my eyes solely focused on his.
"Punk boy, you have nothing to worry about. I promise," My fingers gently rubbed back and forth against his skin, "You're my love. My one and only love." His gentle hands held mine against his cheeks as he smiled.
"Angel face," Gerard leaned his forehead against mine before leaving a sweet kiss against my lips, "You're my love. My one and only love." He repeated. I smiled. Good...
"Hey Y/n!" I pulled away from my love and turned to see who had ruined this sweet moment. Of course it was Brendon.
"What!?" I asked, irritated.
"Can I ask you something?"
"No-"
"Why're you dating Gerard if he tormented you so much?" He asked, but I didn't get a chance to answer as he kept talking, "Is this just a way to get back at me? I said sorry," With every word he spoke I got more and more enraged by his presence, "You can give it up. Come back to me doll face, please. I-"
Gerard began getting up from his seat, but I had gotten up faster. In an instant Brendon was knocked to the floor with a slowly forming black eye, sent with love, from my fist.
"Ah! Go away! You are so annoying! Seriously! Fuck off you asshole!" I had completely lost my cool, "I don't like you, Brendon. What we had was special, but you fucked it up. You're never getting back with me. No matter how hard you cry, or beg. Stay away from me."
He was so shocked by my aggression. Everyone in the cafeteria was. No one spoke a word for a solid thirty seconds. Up until I heard laughter from a nearby table. I gazed over to see Ryan laughing his ass off.
"That was awesome!" He clapped. I sent a nervous smile. My adrenaline had disappeared and was replaced by anxiety. Shit... what do I do now?
I stood frozen as my thoughts went wild. What do I do now? Holy shit... I just punched someone... what the fuck!? Everyone's staring! How do I get out!? Oh god... this is bad... I'm gonna be in so much trouble... what if my parents find out!? Shit...
"Angel face..." I turned to see Gerard now standing behind me with a huge smile on his face, "That was so badass." Safety!
Without a single thought in mind, I hugged onto Gerard as tight as I could without hurting the boy. My insides were freaking out with all of the anxiety. The fingers that held my lovers cheeks so gently before now shook like mad.
"Hey... hey... are you alright?" He spoke so softly.
"They're staring at me..." My voice cracked slightly as he realized, I was about to cry.
"Really? That's why you're like this?" He asked, I nodded. Gerard chuckled.
"Alright," He tilted his head towards the eyes still on us, "Ay! Quit staring!" The mostly quiet commons immediately filled with buzzing chatter once again. My tears never did fall, thanks to punk boy.
"Thank you..." He chuckled.
"Angel face, it's gonna be okay," I tried to quit shaking so damn much, but my fingers just wouldn't stop, "C'mon..." He let go and sat me down. The rest of the group stared, unsure of what to do.
"Ay!" Gerard turned back to Brendon, still in shock on the linoleum floor, "Scram! Unless you want another beating?" Brendon shook his head, terrified, and ran off.
"That was the coolest fucking thing I have ever seen," Frank said, "And I've done some pretty cool shit."
"Yeah, it was badass as hell pumpkin." Gerard said, smiling at me. I smiled, then began to laugh.
"I guess it was, pretty cool."
"So you're secretly a badass?" Hayley began, "Now I get why you're a cool kid." I giggled, desperately trying to relax with my mind stuck in fight or flight mode.
"I uh, I guess so..."
"You alright angel face?" Gerard asked, seeing I was still freaking out a bit. I just nodded.
"Just a little anxious..."
"Alright..." We turned back to our friends and enjoyed the remainder of lunch as much as we could.
