Christmas Morning
Once again pretend Bob is Hayley thank you very much
Everyone in my bedroom slept soundly through the rest of the night. It was around nine in the morning when I awoke. Still half asleep, I watched Gerard sleep through the short slits of my eyelids. With a short yawn, I adjusted myself before relaxing once more in his arms, and trying to fall back asleep. That only lasted about two minutes.
"Guys! It's Christmas! Everyone wake up! It's Christmas! Ah!" Frank had gotten up and was jumping around the room.
"Wake up! Wake up!" He cried, everyone groaned, "You guys! It's Christmas! Get up!" He pulled the blanket off of us. We both immediately shivered.
"Agh! Frank, go away!" Gerard spoke, throwing a pillow at his friend.
"Missed me!" Frank kept jumping around, trying to get the others up.
"Fine! I'll get up!" Mikey cried, angrily sitting up, "Woah..." He spoke, putting his glasses on with his eyes on the window.
We all looked towards the window. The outside looked like a beautiful winter wonderland. Snow fell from the sky covering roofs and tree tops. Flakes swirled around as the wind blew.
"It's so pretty..." Hayley spoke. Then, there was a quiet knock on the door. As it slowly opened, Gerard pulled away from me.
"Morning kids," My mom whispered, "Merry Christmas, is everyone awake?" I looked around the room, making eye contact with each of my friends.
"Yeah..." I said.
"Alright, there's presents under the tree."
Quickly, we all got up and rushed to the living room. We then all just stood, staring at the mountain of presents. My stepdad just sat on the couch watching the all day marathon of A Christmas Story.
"Merry Christmas dad," I said.
"Merry Christmas Y/n," He said.
"Okay, I'm not sure how you all do presents at your houses but we usually pick a spot on the floor, pass out presents, and then open them." My mom said, now with a mug of coffee in her hands.
"Cool..." Frank said.
"I call a spot next to angel face!" Gerard cried, running towards the presents.
"Aw, punk boy!" I giggled. He handed me a present. I set it down on the floor, he set one of his just a foot away from mine.
"Uh, this one's for Frank!" Mikey said, going through the huge pile of presents.
"Yes!" Frank excitedly took the present and set it near Hayley's little stack, "Uhm, I'm gonna sit here," He began, speaking to Hayley, "Is that alright?"
"I guess..."
"Cool, thanks!" He went back to the huge pile and began handing out more presents. She just looked to the floor and smiled. I slid over to her.
"I saw that..."
"What?" She asked.
"I saw that!" I whispered, "You like him..."
"No I don't," She insisted, I sent a look, "I do not like him. Now go away! Shoo shoo!" She waved a hand in front of me.
"Fine..." I sighed, but did as told.
"Oh, this one's from me!" Gerard handed over a long rectangular sized present to me.
"And this one..." I handed over the present containing a leather jacket, "Is from me!"
"Aw, angel face, you didn't have to get me anything." He smiled.
"I know, but I wanted to," I kissed his cheek, "Merry Christmas, punk boy."
"Hey, was anyone gonna wake me up?" I turned to find Tyler standing in his pajamas still half asleep. We all stood, wide eyed, and feeling bad, "Nah, I don't care. Where am I sitting?" He smiled.
"Next to me!" Ray cried, motioning towards his small pile of presents.
"Sick!" Tyler took a seat on the floor, just as everyone else did.
"Okay, but before we open, pictures!" My mom excitedly jumped up and down with a camera in hand. She took a few pictures, but eventually, my stepdad stepped in.
"Babe, you gotta stop with all the pictures." He said.
"Ah, but I wanna capture this perfect moment!"
"You've done enough capturing, just relax."
"Okay..." She spoke sadly, "One more!" She quickly snapped one more before finally sitting down beside my dad on the couch.
"Can we open them?" I asked, they both nodded. In an instant everyone began tearing into each gift wrapped so nicely, "Oh sick, a Walkman! Thanks mom." I smiled, eyeing the box with a picture of the blue portable cassette player. Cool...
"Woah! This is so cool!" Frank cried, everyone looked over. He smiled with a Green Day shirt in his hands.
"Angel face..." Gerard sang.
"Yes, punk boy?" I asked, opening another present from my parents.
"You should open mine."
"Only if you open mine." He smiled.
"Deal..." He grabbed the nicely wrapped present, while I grabbed the long rectangular one that wasn't so neatly wrapped. Oh punk boy... gift wrapping isn't quite your strongest suit...
"Three, two, one!" He cried, we both tore into the wrapping paper. My eyes went wide as I stared at the beautiful painting Gerard had given me.
"Woah..." It was of him and I. All of my favorite things were scattered around the edges, along with little things from our relationship. Awww...
"Oh pumpkin..." I looked over to see Gerard holding up the leather jacket, "This is awesome," He chuckled, then sent a gaze my way, "You like mine?"
"I love it. Gerard, how long did this take you?" I asked, still in awe of the pretty painting.
"Good, it took me," He thought for a moment, "A few days."
"Well, it's beautiful, thank you." I kissed his cheek, then went back to staring. Above my painted face it read angel face, while above him it read punk boy. He sat closer to me, looking at it as well.
"Wait, is that a crayon?" I asked, pointing to a purple spot. He chuckled.
"Yeah..." I giggled, "And a rat, and a firecracker, and the Millennium Falcon-"
"A rat?"
"Yeah, for Frank..." I just laughed, "I also added little snowflakes, and all the different words I'd use to describe how remarkable you are."
"Punk boy," I looked to him, he just smiled, "What'd I ever do without you..." He wrapped an arm around me. My lips pressed against his cheek.
"Oh wow..." Gerard and I both looked over towards Mikey, "A video camera! Thanks Gee." He smiled towards us.
"No problem Mikes."
"If everyone's done opening presents, there's pancakes in the dinning room."
"Race ya!" Gerard cried, just before pushing me down to the floor.
"Ah! That's cheating!" I ran after him, but he had already beaten me.
Just about ten minutes later, everyone sat around the dinning room table. Excitedly, we all spoke about our favorite presents and things.
"...I dunno, I think angel face topped it this year with that leather jacket." Gerard said, smiling at me.
"You still owe me fifteen bucks, by the way." Hayley said.
"Right," I stood up from my seat, "I'll be back momentarily."
Walking into my room, I shuffled through my drawers to find my stash of money. By the time I came back out into the dinning room, most of them had finished eating.
"Hayley..." I slid over a ten and a five, "Fifteen bucks to ya..."
"Thank you," She snatched it up and set it in her bag.
"Uhm, Hayley..." Frank began, she looked up at him, "You wanna maybe join us for Christmas dinner at Gerard's?"
"I dunno, maybe..." She answered, getting up from her seat, "But I gotta change and get home."
"Oh yeah, I do too..." Ray spoke.
"Same here..." Said Frank. Aww... but I was having so much fun...
"Yeah, we should probably get going too." Gerard said, looking to Mikey.
"Alright," I spoke with a saddened tone. The others wandered off to my room where their bags sat while Gerard stayed behind.
"Don't worry angel face, we'll see ya later." He smiled.
"I know, I've just had so much fun with you guys." He then pulled me into a hug.
"Aww, pumpkin, you gonna miss me?" I smirked.
"Not in the slightest." He pulled away with his hands in mine, and looked at me, confused. Once he saw my face, he smiled.
"Oh angel face, I won't miss ya either." His smirk now matched mine. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his.
"Gross!" Frank had walked into the room, we both gazed at him, "I'm outta here, see ya tonight!" He waved.
"Bye, Frank!" The two of us waved, but his free hand was back in mine in merely seconds. With a smile on his face, he slowly swayed us to the non-existent beat.
"You really like dancing with me, don't ya?" I asked with a smile.
"Maybe, or, maybe I just like moving my body like this regardless of who I'm with." He chuckled.
"Punk boy," I sighed, happily.
"Ow! What the hell!?" We both turned around to find Mikey with his new video camera pointed towards us. Ray had bumped into him.
"You're right in the middle of the walkway! Stalk them somewhere else!" Ray cried, then stepped towards us, "I had a nice time with you guys. See ya."
"Bye..." He then walked out the door.
"Why the fuck are you filming us?" I asked as Mikey shoved the camera away in his overnight bag.
"Cause I thought it was cute." He answered, just as Hayley headed towards the door.
"Has Frank left?" She asked.
"Uhuh..." I answered.
"Good, bye Y/n, I had a nice time."
"Me too, see ya." And she was gone.
"I guess it's time for us to leave..." Gerard spoke, eyeing Mikey.
"Yeah, I guess so..."
"Mikey, I'm gonna change, then we can head out."
"Aight..." Gerard kissed my head before walking away. I folded my arms with a small smile tugging at my lips.
"Will we be seeing you tonight?" Mikey asked.
"Hell yeah," I answered, "I can't wait..."
"Cool, y'know, Gerard really likes you." I smiled.
"Yeah?" He nodded, "Well I'd hope so."
"Nah like, he's completely fallen for you," I hummed, "Seriously! Ever since the snowball he's been acting different."
"Different? Whatta ya mean?"
"Like, he's nicer, and happier," He explained, "It's good..." interesting... I didn't think I had that much of an impact on him...
"Angel face!" Gerard sang, waltzing down the hall towards me, "I had a lot of fun. We'll see ya tonight, babe." He kissed my cheek.
"Bye..."
"See ya!" And they were gone. I just stood there, a small smile tugging back at my lips once again as the memories from last night whirled around my brain. I can't wait to see them tonight...
