(GINGER'S POV)

I walked through the Lobby with a small box of chocolate cookies, I knew they were Bobette's favorite! I casually paced inside the room where Bobette had set up her store.. it was freezing.. maybe I should have put on a hoodie or something.

I immediately noticed Bobette hugging Coal, seeing it made my mind reel with jealousy... I wish Bobette would hug me more... Hold on..

Am I seriously getting jealous over a DOG?!  I need to get a grip..

As a thought that, I slowly snapped back to reality, Bobette let go of Coal and waved to me cheerfully, although a hint of concern appeared in her eyes as she saw how tight I was gripping the box.

"Hey Ginger! You alright..?"

"....."

"...Ginger?"

I finally realized she was talking, god.. I really need to stop zoning out..

"Y-Yeah-.. Sorry about that..."

"Its alright silly! But its nice to have you around!"

As she said that, my face heated up- why am I like this... its just some.. stupid crush.. do i seriously have to get flustered over everything she says? I finally noticed how harshly i was gripping the box and loosened my grip.

"Oh..! Yeah, thank you.. its nice to see you too.. also I made you some cookies.. I figured they were your favorite.."

"Aww thank you Ginger!"

I handed her the box filled with cookies. My smile widened as I seen her excitement..

"So.. How are you? I-I hope you're doing well Bobette..."

"Im doing alright.. thanks for asking Ginger! And.. To be honest I feel better having you around.."

She smiled at me, I felt my heart flutter a bit, I just need to act normal.

"-O-Oh really? Thank you.."

I said, nervously leaning against the counter, watching her intently, she's so beautiful..

(Time skip a few hours because author is a lazy fu-)

I walked out of the room feeling happy! I finally got to talk to her again!

I walked into the diner and sat down, fantasizing about her.. what if we were dating..? What if we got married..? What if it was just me and her? What if we had kids and--

My thinking abruptly paused as Cosmo walked over to me, great.. just what I needed.. although I haven't seen him in ages.. it still bugged me that he interrupted me..

"Hey Ginger! I havent seen you in a while, you doing okay?"

"......"

I internally sighed, shortly realizing that my fantasies were never coming true, right? I quickly replied to Cosmo in order not to worry him

"Cousin Cosmo! Great to see you.. and.. yeah! Im doing fine! Just.. thinking.."

"Alright.. would you like to order anything?"

"Oh uhm.. Ill just have some water.."

"Alright Ginger! I'll be right back.."

"...Right."

I resumed my fantasies, I swear if one more person interrupts me I'm gonna-

"Ginger, was it?"

I paused.. my thoughts being interrupted once more.. I look up only to see the scammier version of Bobette

"....Dandy?"

Dandy looked over to me, seemingly watching my every move

"I noticed something recently that may be of your concern.."

"R-Really? What is it..?"

I asked, my anxiety growing with each passing second of silence

"Well... I noticed that your cousin is getting pretty close to Bobette.. I thought you might not have liked that.."

He said with a chuckle, i immediately grew pissed, are you kidding me?! My hands turns into fists as I struggled to keep my cool, looking towards the kitchen where Cosmo had left to get me some water

"...."

"I suppose you might want to do something about that... I have a suggestion."

I looked back towards him, silently ushering him to continue.

He fell silent for a moment, before taking a knife out of his bag and sliding it across the diner table

"What the..?!"

I stared at the knife, realizing the implications.. is he.. is he telling me to kill Cosmo...?!

"I-I cant-"

"But you will. Ginger, what if he takes her from you? What will you do then?"

"....."

"That's what I thought.."

I slowly reached out to the knife, picking it up and hiding it under the table before anyone spotted it, I traced my finger along the side of the knife, silently admiring it

My eyes never left the knife, sure.. Cosmo was my cousin.. but.. I can't risk him taking her from me. Nobody will ever take her from me. She's mine, she just doesn't know yet..

I know I'd do anything for Bobette.
