"HOW COULD YOU?!"

Okay, we're going right into this, then.

Amy Rose jumps at Fiona with her hammer at the ready as she slams it down at Fiona who cries out in surprise before jumoing to safety.

"We trusted you!" Amy tells Fiona. "Sonic trusted you with his heart!"

"Would you hold on a second?!" Fiona tries to calm Amy down. "What is this all about?"

"Don't play dumb with me!" Amy yells at Fiona. "I was out looking for Sonic and found Tails instead. I asked if he knew where Sonic was... maybe if he was with you. That's when he told me all about you. He told me that Sleuth Dawg blackmailed you."

Amy yells again as she swings her Piko Piko Hammer at Fiona who ducks under it.

"You've been cheating on Sonic with Scourge!"

"It's not like Sonic and I were seriously going out," Fiona states.

"You admit it?!" Amy asks Fiona angrily.

"Admit what?" Fiona smirks at Rose. "I didn't admit anything."

Amy growls and swings her hammer again at Fiona.

"Why can't you just tell the truth?!"

"The truth" gets you hurt, or worse, little girl," Fiona tells Amy as she flips over the pink hedgehog and lands on the hammer. "But even if you got all of Knothole to testify against me, Sonic would never believe you."

"That's not saying much. I take everything Amy says with a shaker of salt."

Fiona jumps at the sound of Sonic's voice, both her and Amg turning to see Sonic leaning on a nearby tree.

"Sonic! I need to tell you that... well, it was Tails who said... but he heard from Sleuth..." Amy tried to get the words out as Sonic walked up to her. "And you heard from Scourge...!"

"Amy? Chill. Breathe," Sonic tells his not-so-secret admirer. "I've been meaning to talk to Fiona, anyway. Thanks for looking out for me."

"S-sure..." Amy blushes as she messes with her dress.

Sonic then walked up to Fiona and took her hand.

"C'mon, Fiona. Walk with me," he tells his "girlfriend". "Talk with me."

"... sure," Fiona says as the two leave Amy as she cartoonishly floats into the air with a love-struck look on her face. "Are you gonna interrogate me, too?"

"I just want everything to add up, Fiona," Sonic tells the red fox as they walk into the forest.

Meanwhile...

With Y/n, he's seen talking to Sally in a nearby place where Sonic and Fiona are talking in. He was actually telling Sally all about all of his dreams and visions he's been having, and he told her all about his little adventure into Gerald's diary with Shadow and Sonic.

"My... that is quite confusing," Sally says.

"Tell me about it," Y/n says as he crosses his arms. "I'm trying to figure out how to help you guys along with trying to find a way home. But apparently I also have to figure out what connection I have with Shadow and the Robotnik family."

Y/n groans.

"Why does everything have to be so hard?"

"Well, nothing in life is easy, Y/n. Especially here on Mobius," Sally says with a smile and a laugh. "All I know is that I'll be right by your side to figure it all out... along with the others, of course."

Sally blushes a bit as she rubs her arm, making Y/n smile at her as he unfolds his arms from his chest.

"I really appreciate it, Sal," the human says as he walks up to the princess. "With help from someone like you, I'm sure this will all be figured out in no time."

"Someone like me?" Sally questions with a playful smirk. "And what may that just mean, Y/n?"

"Oh, you know..." Y/n's cheeks slightly heat up as he rubs the back of his head. "Smart, talented, funny... pretty..."

He said the last part quietly so Sally couldn't hear him, but she did as her cheeks flushed a bit as well.

"Thanks, Y/n."

She smiles up at Y/n who smiles back at the chipmunk.

'Come on... do it!' Sally thought to herself as she starred at Y/n. 'You're a princess, dammit! Just ask him!'

Taking a deep breathe, Sally steps a bit closer to Y/n nervously.

"So, Y/n..."

"Yeah?" the human responds.

"I was wondering... if you had any free time, maybe we could hang ou--" Sally was cutoff when Y/n pulls her behind him.

"WATCH OUT!"

He creates a shield with his Energy Rings which was empowered by the Chaos Gem, blocking a lightning bolt-styled blast of energy which makes them slide back a bit from the force.

"What was that?!" Sally asks in shock.

"Not you again," Y/n growled as he lowered his shield.

He looked into the forest shrubbery just as a familiar laugh was heard, twigs snapping as a pair of heavy footsteps were heard nearing the pair.

"How cute! You two are just adorable together!" a familiar voice says as clapping follows. "And good reflexes, by the way. Heheh. You're definitely a little better than last time, me."

The attacker steps out of the shadows to reveal himself with a big, shark-like grin on his face.

"Anarchy," Y/n growls.

"Sup, me? Missed you?" Anarchy asks Y/n with a crazy laugh following. "Man, the readers must hate me since I'm making some parts hard to read!"

(Not as much as I hate you.)

"Oh, chin up, Shallot!" Anarchy says to the air. "You'll come around."

"God, I forgot how annoying you were," Y/n states.

"Part of my charm, me!"

Anarchy grins as Y/n turns to Sally.

"Go get backup," he tells her. "If he's here, then so is Scourge."

"But what about you?" Sally asks her friend in concern.

"I'll hold him off!" Y/n says as his eyes glow green. "You go and--WHOA!"

A blur of purple takes him away from Sally, Y/n's very own Anti being the one who grabbed him.

"You guys are so boring!" he states. "All talk and no action!"

He stops running and throws Y/n at a tree, the human crashing through it and falling to the ground.

"Come on! I want a good fight this time!"

Y/n growls as he stands to his feet, rubbing the dirt that was plastered on his cheek.

"Wanna fight?" Y/n asked and got into a fight stance, his eyes glowing emerald green. "Then I'll give you one!"

"Haha! Alright!" Anarchy laughs happily.

He lunges at Y/n with a fist ready to be thrown, purple sparks dancing around his body as Y/n does the same. They then throw their fist forward, their attacks connecting against each other and creating a massive shockwave that blows everything back a bit.

Meanwhile...

Just a bit earlier, with Sonic and Fiona, they walk through the forest as they talk.

"You've been disappearing lately," Sonic tells his girlfriend. "With your sketchy past, it makes me wonder, y'know?"

"Excuse me?" Fiona questions, seemingly offended. "You said you were cool with my past!"

"I am," Sonic says. "But I'm not cool with how it might be affecting the now!"

"The now"?" Fiona questions. "What about when I helped stop Bean and Bark on your birthday? Or when I gave up on everything I knew on Rouge?"

"You've helped us out," Sonic says. "I'm not saying you didn't."

"Then what are you saying?"

"What I'm saying is that you didn't show any interest in me until after Scourge impersonated me," Sonic states. "What I'm saying is that four separate people are saying that you're playing me. Scourge and Slueth could be lying, but I trust Amy and Tails."

Fiona laughs.

"You trust a couple of kids over me, huh?"

"I want to trust you, too, Fi!" Sonic states. "I just need you to clear this up for me."

Suddenly, a large boom echoes throughout the forest as the wind blows things back a bit. Sonic and Fiona, and even Tails who was in the sky watching them, all cover their eyes to shield them from the wind and anything that could get into them.

"What the heck was that?!" Sonic asked as Fiona only chuckles a bit.

"He really does like to make a show," she says, confusing Sonic.

"What?" he questions. "Who's "he"?"

Fiona laughs again as she turns to Sonic.

"I tried the hero thing, Sonic. I really did," she states. "I stuck to it for you. I thought we could maybe find some middle ground."

"Middle ground?"

"She means she wishes you had a backbone, moron."

Recognizing the familiar voice, Sonic quickly turns around to come face-to-face with his own Anti.

"Hey, sweetie~" Fiona greets the Anti-Mobian.

"Hey, babe," Scourge greets Fiona back before speaking to Sonic. "You caught on to one thing Sonic: it was me she fell for first!"

"When I found out that Scourge wasn't the real deal, I tried to find the same attraction in you, Sonic," Fiona says as she walks over to Scourge.

"I told her it was a waste of time," Scourge admits. "Any guy after me is gonna be bland."

Scourge laughs a bit as Fiona wraps her arms around him, Sonic's green doppelganger wrapping one of his arms around her waist as he pulls down his shades.

"So much for your love-life, Blue. You couldn't hold on to a princess, you couldn't win over my girl, and Amy..."

"I was hoping you'd be just as fun, but you're hung up on the whole "virtuous hero" thing," Fiona tells Sonic.

"Heheh. Yeah, sure. There's a real prize winner," Scourge says, finishing what he was saying about Amy which makes Sonic growl in anger.

Meanwhile, back with Y/n and Anarchy, Anarchy is seen blasting out bolts of Anarchy Energy from his hands at Y/n who does his best to dodge each blast.

"Woo-hoo! It's so much fun to see you run!" Anarchy says and aims at Y/n again. "Here I come!"

The good counterpart to Anarchy notices this and leaps over what he'd expect to be another blast, but a flash of purple appears just above him and Anarchy teleports right above him.

"Got you!" he proclaims. "Anarchy Crasher!"

The Anti-Y/n clenches his sparking fist and punches Y/n into the ground, creating a large crater from the force of impact as another shockwave was made.

Anarchy teleports back to the ground right next to the crater, Y/n groaning as he lies in the center.

'So strong...' he says in his head. 'How'd he get this strong?'

Anarchy chuckles a bit as he walks into the crater, stopping right in front of Y/n and easily picks him up by his neck.

"God, you're pathetic," he says. "I have no idea why this universe's Maria was friends with a worm like you."

"Maria...?" Y/n questioned weakly. "How do you--?"

"Of course I know her! She was my best friend before this happened!" Anarchy says and refers to his exoskeleton before his face softens. "Man... I really miss Maria..."

Y/n looks at his Anti in confusion before Anarchy looks back at him, starring at him for a few moments before growing an even wider grin.

"You don't remember, do you?" he asks and then laughs. "Hahaha! This is too good! I can't believe you don't remember!"

Anarchy laughs even louder, confusing Y/n who raises a brow.

"What... are you... talking about?" Y/n manages to say.

"Oh, it doesn't really matter now, does it?" Anarchy asks Y/n and aims his sparking palm at his chest. "You'll be dead anyway."

Firing a blast of concentrated Anarchy Energy, Anarchy blasts Y/n away from him and through a few trees. He then rolls across the ground, creating a trench from the impact before slowing to a stop. He coughs out some blood before he tries to get up, only for Anarchy to teleport next to him and pushes on Y/n's chest with his foot.

"Remember the first time we fought each other? I said that while it took me years to master my powers, you've been gaining more much faster than I did," Y/n's Anti tells his doppelganger. "Well guess what? That means I'm stronger than you!"

He lifts up his foot and slams it back down on Y/n's body, making him cry out in pain as blood flies out of his mouth.

With Sonic, Scourge is seen running and attacking him.

"Don't get me wrong, wuss," Scourge tells his doppelganger. "As much as I like messin' with ya, I think I might actually like Fiona."

Sonic breaks away from Scourge and jumps over to a rock, planting his feet firmly on it.

"I mean, all the girls in my home dimension are dark from the get-go. But Fiona..." Scourge grins widely. "... she chooses to be! And that's hot!"

Sonic pushes off the rock and Spin Dashes at Scourge.

"As for you... I've got you figured out!" Scourge states. "I know why you hate me."

He kicks Sonic away, making him crash into a tree and uncurl from his ball form as Scourge walks up to him.

"I know. And it's not just the Fiona thing, or that I'm better looking," Scourge grins at his "weaker" counterpart. "It's that all it takes is one bad day, and you'd be just.... like... me."

"No, that's not it, Scourge," Sonic says and sweeps his doppelganger's feet from underneath him and then standing over him instead of the other way around. "It's because all it would take is a bit of selflessness... a little bit of decency... and you'd be just like me."

Scourge was left speechless. Was it true that he thought that? Or was he just confused by Sonic's words.

"Oi! Big Blue~!" Anarchy's voice calls out to Sonic. "I gotta a present for ya~!"

Looking up from Scourge, Sonic comes face-to-face with a flying body and is knocked to the ground by it. When he gets his senses back, he looks to see...

"Y/n?!"

Y/n's body was a bloody mess, some burn marks and bruises all over his body as he was laid limp before Sonic.

"What did you do to him?!" Sonic asks angrily.

"We just had some fun, Big Blue," Anarchy laughs. "But he never stood a chance."

Fiona arrives on the scene, smiling evilly at Sonic as her real boyfriend stands back up to his feet.

"The way you hold back makes you weak," Fiona says. "It's all about survival of the best, and you're--"

"WOULD YOU SHUT UP ALREADY?!"

Amy suddenly appears and slams her hammer into the ground in front of Fiona as Scourge narrowly dodges a punch from a flying Tails. Then the two get in front of Sonic and Y/n, shielding them. Then Sally came in and nearly landed a kick on Anarchy, only to miss as the Anti dodges easily. She lands next to Amy.

"You're gonna pay for what you did to Y/n!" she tells Anarchy, glaring at him.

"I-I can't hurt you, Fiona," Tails states. "But I don't care about Scourge! Or Anarchy!"

"Which leaves the back-stabbing, heart-wrenching, ugly, stupid, dumb headband-weafung traitor to me!" Amy declares as she grips her Piko Piko Hammer.

Scourge clicks his teeth before smirking, pulling out a small ring and flipping it into the air.

"I dunno about you guys, but I've had my fun," Scourge tells Fiona and Anarchy as the ring grows and turns into a portal. "Shall we?"

"Let's."

"My fight was boring, anyway."

Scourge and Anarchy walk towards the ring and walk through as Fiona turns to Sonic and mockingly blows him a kiss.

"So long, handsome~" she tells Sonic. "It was fun while it lasted~"

She then steps through the portal and it closes, leaving Sonic scowling as Sally kneels down and looks at Y/n.

"He's in bad condition," she states. "We gotta get him to the medical bay. Fast."

"Good thing I'm the Fastest Thing Alive," Sonic says and picks up Y/n. "Meet you all there!"

He then dashes away, leaving Amy, Tails, and Sally back at the forest who all nod to each other and run after Sonic.

The Medical Bay...

Y/n is seen on a bed as he was hooked up to some medical machines with an IV bag hooked up to his arm. Doctor Quack was checking on him before he walks up to Sally, Sonic, Tails, and Amy.

"So? How is he?" Sally asks. "Will he be alright?"

"He'll be fine. That gem of his makes sure he stays in tip-top condition," Quack says. "He'll be fully recovered in about a few days."

The four giving their thanks to Quack, the duck leaves just as Danny runs into the medical bay.

"I heard what happened!" he declares. "Is Y/n okay?"

"Y/n's gonna be okay," Sonic tells the lion. "He'll be back on his feet in a few days, the doc said."

Danny let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness," he says. "I just wish I was there to protect him. He's only human, after all."

"A human with incredible power," Sally states. "We may need to watch out for him, but he can handle himself. He's strong."

"She's right," Amy agrees with Sally. "He's stronger than most of us."

Danny nods and walks up to Y/n's bedside.

"What happened to Fiona?" he asks.

"She bailed on us," Sonic states. "Hooked up with Scourge."

"Dammit!" Danny curses. "How many people are we gonna lose?!"

"We may lose people, but we fight for them," Tails steps up. "We fight for those we lost in our fight for freedom."

Danny sighs as he places his elbows on Y/n's bed, holding his head in his hands.

"I just wish Jay was here," he said. "He'd know just what to do."

"He was a part of our family, too," Sally states. "But he would want us to keep going. And to make sure Y/n, and us, is fully prepared for anything coming our way."

Danny lets go of his head.

"Once he wakes up, I'm training Y/n harder than ever," the lion states. "I can't lose him. Not like Jay."

"None of us want him to die," Sonic states. "We're gonna do this. For freedom."

"For freedom," everyone else repeats.

Somewhere Unknown...

Scourge, Anarchy, and Fiona step out of the ring and arrive in the place Y/n saw when he first encountered Anarchy. Fiona whistles.

"Nice place," she says.

"Yeah, it is," Scourge says. "The boss will be back soon. Make yourself at home."

Fiona nods and walks off to explore. Anarchy watches her walk away as Scourge walks up to him.

"Good work out there, pal," he says, patting the purple-haired human on his shoulder before walking away as well.

Anarchy is left alone now as he stands still for a few moments. Then he reaches into one of his pockets and takes out a small object. He looks at it, his crazed smile faltering as he stares at the item. It was a small locket without it's chain with a picture of a younger him with a blonde girl holding on to his arm, both of them smiling. A small plane of glass covers the picture with a faint but still noticeable crack running over the girl, a tear escaping Anarchy's eye as he grips the locket.

"Maria... I'm sorry..."

Fiona has revealed her true colors to the Freedom Fighters, now with Scourge as her "new" boyfriend. Y/n is also gravely injured by Anarchy, left in a hospital bed to heal. (Sneak Peak of Anarchy: Origins)

On the world Moebius, Anarchy is seen starring down at a castle from a far hilltop. The wind blew through his long hair, making the purple locks sway a bit as Anarchy closes his eyes to enjoy the feeling of coldness running down his shirtless skin. Then he sighs and opens his eyes, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small locket without a chain. It was chipped all around the edges, its golden skin dulled from not being cleaned for three years. He opens it to reveal a photo of his universe's Maria holding his arm, both of them having a smile on their faces. The picture was covered by a small plane of glass that had a faint but still noticeable crack running over Maria.

He gritted his teeth as he gripped the small locket, his face being reflected in the glass as it soon shifts to be a mirror reflecting the face and body of a younger Anarchy. He was four years younger than the seventeen-year-old Anarachy, and was only referred to as Y/n back then.

He adjusts the tie around his neck, a black suit being worn on his body as he prepared for the annual ball in the Space Colony Ark. His hair was much shorter and cleaner, being (H/C) instead of purple with his eyes being a normal and sane (E/C). His skin was a still a bit paler than that average human's, but that was because of the lack of sunlight he got, even in space. He was a bit uncomfortable with the suit on since his thin exoskeleton that allowed him to move his upper body made it difficult to wear tighter clothing

The door opens, making Y/n turn to see Gerald Robotnik in a nice suit who smiles at the boy.

"Ah! You look great, Y/n," Gerald tells the twelve-year-old Y/n. "You look just like your father."

"Thank you, Professor Robotnik," Y/n smiles at the scientist. "And thank you for inviting me to the party. I've never personally seen Haley's Comet."

"You shouldn't be thanking me, son," Gerald states.

This confuses Y/n before Gerald steps aside to reveal Shadow wearing a bowtie around his neck and Maria, Gerald's granddaughter, wearing a lovely purple dress.

"O-oh..." a blush grows on Y/n's face as he holds his tie. "H-hi, Maria."

Maria giggles as she walks up to Y/n.

"Hi, N/n," she greets her friend. "You look great."

"Th-thank you, M-Maria," Y/n stutters. "Y-you look great, t-too."

Maria giggles as she spins around in her dress once.

"Thank you, N/n."

Y/n smiles stupidly to himself as Gerald chuckles to himself while Shadow lets a small smile show.

"I think we'll give you two some time alone," Gerald says and turns to Shadow. "Shall we go, Shadow?"

"We shall," Shadow nods and leaves with Gerald, leaving Maria and Y/n alone.

"So, uh... you're the one who invited me to the Comet Ball?" Y/n nervously asks his best friend.

Maria nods in confirmation.

"I found out you've never been to the ball, so I wanted you to join me and Grandfather," the blonde states. "Plus, it gives me more time to be with you."

Y/n blushes again at these words, scratching his cheek as he looks away, flustered.

"Th-that means so much to me, M-Maria," Y/n says, making Maria giggle. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, N/n," Maria says and offers to link arms with Y/n. "Shall we go?"

Smiling, Y/n nods and links his arm with Maria's, the two walking out of Y/n's room together as they walk down the hallway to the Comet Ball together.
