Author's Note: 

Hi! It's Staci again! This is my sci-fi story, titled, "Only Human." It's a teen soap opera set in the early 2030s. It's got romance, drama, and shocking secrets. Yet...it's also a sci-fi about genetically-modified teenagers. Not all of them are like that. It's not a dystopia story. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this story.

GLOSSARY AND TERMS:

Normals: Humans that have not been altered.

Genetically-Modifieds: Humans that had their DNA altered. It's mixed with animal DNA (primarily dog and cat DNA), and are implanted with a microchip. They are created in a lab. There are, at least, four types of Gen-Mods (aka, "Advanced," and "Hybred".):

1. Created Gen-Mods: Gen-Mods created in the lab.

2. Converted Gen-Mods: Normals that were Converted into Gen-Mods. 

3. Upgrades: Gen-Mods, both Created and Converted, given "upgrades," to improve their lives.

4. Naturally-Born Gen-Mods: This is a new group of Gen-Mods. They are born from either two Gen-Mods, or a Gen-Mod and a Normal.

There's also two versions of Gen-Mods:

A: Alpha Gen-Mods: The most powerful group of Gen-Mods. They mainly reside in North America. They are Gen-Mods that were given the controversial Alpha Trait. They closely resemble the alpha werewolves due to their possessive and domineering nature. 

B: Non-Alpha Gen-Mods: This group of Gen-Mods reside in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. They're not as powerful as the Alphas. They do have possessive tendacies, but it comes with the territory of having a mate. All will be explained in this story.
