CHAPTERSEVEN_ELITIST PLOTS

September 16, 2032

 It’s the next day. Rachel walked up to Nathan at his lockers. He smiled when he saw her. She kissed his lips passionately, which shocked him. Then she pulled away. He asked her, “Rach, that…why?”

 Rachel smirked as she explained, “My dad got upset that I talked to a boy.”

 Nathan became confused. She noticed his expression, so she gave him a peck on his lips. Then she asked, “Better?”

 He blinked, and replied, “Uh, yeah, of course.”

 They both shared a smile. As soon as he turned to walk away, four extremely beautiful teenagers walked up to him. They grabbed him, and afterwards Declan, and took them to the music room.

 Declan demanded, “Why did you take us to the music room?”

 One of them spoke, “The name’s Aiden. That guy there is Luke, this girl is Bianca, and the other girl is Hayley. And you two are like us. Super humans.”

 Declan gave the four a “WTF” look, while Nathan laughed. The four glared at Nathan. Aiden asked, “What’s so funny?”

 Nathan replied as he calmed downed, “You guys are nerds! You call yourselves ‘super humans.’ We’re all just regular people!”

 Declan rolled his eyes, and said, “We can stop pretending in front of these people. We’re all Gen-Mods. Besides, my father is one of the founders of the Gen-Mods. Or ‘super humans,’ as you call us.”

 Aiden said, “Of course. You’re his prototype.”

 Declan cleared his throat, and asked, “Anyway, why did you bring us here?”

 Bianca spoke up, “We brought you two here because we have an offer. You know how the media portrays us as monsters. Well, we just found out on TMZ that one of biggest film directors, producers, and screenwriters, Tristan Dexter, just sealed the deal of making a revival of his indie hit movie, Advanced Enhancements, the movie that started everything. And his daughter, Rachel Dexter, just happens to be dating Nathan here!”

 Luke added, “Yeah, and we heard that Nathan was reported to be too strong for all the school teams, but he got accepted into the rugby team. And he took Matt Lindquist’s spot as the fly-half. It’s obvious that he has superhuman strength.”

 Nathan muttered, “It would explain why my parents wouldn’t let me play sports.”

 Declan asked, “Okay, but why am I here?”

 Aiden smirked as he explained this: “Now we get to the good part. Nathan, you are to take down your mate’s father. You have to destroy him with your superhuman strength. Declan, you are to gather all the founders to bring everyone who hates the Gen-Mods down. We are to destroy everyone who discriminates us!”

 With that, Declan and Nathan stared at Aiden. Then Nathan spoke up, “Look nerds, I’m not going to destroy my girlfriend’s father. Yes, I know she’s my mate, but I feel more human if I call her my girlfriend. Anyway, no, I’m not going to hurt Tristan.”

 Declan added, “Yeah, I’m not going to take everyone down for hating us. Look, more than half of the world thinks we don’t exist. And if they find out that we do, there’s going to be mixed reactions. Besides, there’s better ways to fight for our rights to be treated as equals to normal humans.”

 Hayley scoffed, “Oh yeah? Like what?”

 Declan replied, “I don’t know, but anything is better than killing people just because they’re ignorant.”

 With that, both Declan and Nathan walked out of the music room. They saw Rachel standing nearby. She looked upset. Nathan walked up to her, and asked, “Did you hear everything?”

 Rachel replied, “I heard everything, Nathan, and I have a lot of questions running in my mind right now. Gen-Mods have mates? My dad is going to remake that horrible Advanced Enhancements movie? Those four people want you and Declan to destroy everyone because of their ignorance?”

 Nathan hugged her, but not too tightly. Declan explained everything to her about the Gen-Mod mating process, that her dad sealed the deal on remaking his first movie, and the four Elites wanting equality in the most brutal way.

 Then Nathan pulled away, and searched her face. He asked her, “Do you have anything to say or something?”

 Rachel looked at him intently, and said, “One, the mating thing scares the shit out of me. Your life is in my hands!”

 Nathan said, “Yeah…I might need to get that fixed or something. I get why I’m programmed to be this way, but still.”

 “And Declan’s right. There are other ways of fighting for equality. Something that’s humane, not barbaric. We should meet with everyone about this.”

 Declan said, “But are we going to get all the Gen-Mods in this school involved? Trust me, half of the school has Gen-Mods, and I can tell by either their glasses, or by their eyes dulled by their contact lenses.”

 Rachel thought for a moment, and said, “We should talk this over with our friends first before we get everyone else involved. Let’s all meet at lunch later today.”

 With that, Declan and Nathan agreed.

 It’s now lunch time. As Rachel, Declan, and Nathan gathered their friends, Rachel saw Kimmy walking to her table. Rachel called her over. Kimmy saw her, but as she was walking, she bumped into Matt.

 Kimmy saw the mess she made on his uniform. She told him, “OMG, I’m so sorry! I’ll clean it up.”

 Matt sighed as he said, “It’s okay. Aren’t you one of the new cheerleaders?”

 Kimmy shyly smiled, and said, “Yeah, I am.”

 As she looked into his eyes, her own eyes began twitching behind her glasses. She even blushed hard. Matt noticed this, so he asked, “Erm, are you okay?”

 Kimmy shook her head quickly, and said, “Yeah, I’m fine. I’m…fine…”

 With that, she bolted from him. Rachel, Cheryl, and Aria noticed this, so they followed Kimmy to the bathroom. They found her without her glasses on, staring at the mirror. Then she turned to them with her extremely dark eyes. Rachel and Cheryl were started, but Aria wasn’t.

 Kimmy said with a wavering voice, “I really am a mutant. I mean, look at my eyes! I felt them burning when I laid eyes on Matt, the school’s fly-half!”

 Rachel and Cheryl stood there, confused. Aria, on the other hand, walked up to her, and said, “Kimmy…you met your mate. I’m guessing Matt Lindquist is your mate.”

 Suddenly, Kimmy became horrified. She asked, “I’m a werewolf?!”

 Aria shook her head, and said, “No, you’re not. Yeah, you are a mutant, but we call them Gen-Mods. We’re super humans. We operate differently than normal humans. We’re coded to need mates. Or else…we’ll die.”

 Kimmy stood there, stunned. Then suddenly, she fainted. Aria sighed. Rachel told her, “Don’t you think you gave her too much information? She was still reeling over the fact that she’s a Gen-Mod.”

 Aria said, “Look, she has a right to know the truth. Matt is her mate, and she needs him.”

 Then Rachel became silent for a while as Aria revived Kimmy. 

 It’s now evening. Rachel entered her dad’s office. She saw him on his MacBook from the early 2010s. She walked up to him, and sat in front of him. He looked up, and asked, “What brings you here, Rachel?”

 She took a deep breath, and asked, “Daddy…is it true? Are you going to make the remake of your first movie, Advanced Enhancements?”

 With that, Tristan looked at her. He closed his MacBook, and sighed. He replied, “Yes, I am. See, when I first made it, I was only 25. I just got out of film school, and I needed the money to make this project happen. I joined Kickstarter, and I soon raised enough money for makeup artists, unknown actors, unknown stuntmen, and equipment. I even bought the rights from two Wattpad books, Evil Perfection and Superior. It took a year to make this movie, but once I was 27, the movie turned into a huge hit. It became one of the biggest movies Wattpad had ever seen since After. Even underrated books and series from Wattpad got adapted into movies and TV series. Why are you asking about this project?”

 Rachel thought her words carefully, soon she asked, “Daddy…what if Gen-Mods were…real?”

 With that, Tristan laughed. Rachel look down on the floor. He asked her, “Why would ask such a question? They’re not real, Rach. If they were, you wouldn’t be sitting here in front of me.”

 She told him defensively, “Well, they’re not monsters! They’re sweet people who happen to be more advanced than we are.”

 Suddenly, Tristan stopped laughing. He glared at her instead. He told her sternly, “I don’t know where you’re getting these ideas from, but Gen-Mods are not real. And if they are, they’re not ‘sweet people.’ They’re not even human. They’re fucking monsters! I can’t believe you’re so naïve. You’re 16. Grow up.”

 With that, Tristan walked out of his office, leaving Rachel sitting there, fuming. If only you’d see what I see, she thought. Gen-Mods are not what you think they are.
