October 4, 2032

 It’s now Monday. The group had another meeting. Aria asked Avery, “So, anything good?”

 Avery answered, “Yeah, I managed to get a bunch students and a few student-teachers involved. Most of these people are Gen-Mods. There’s a few Normals. You can tell they’re Normals. They look like regular, scrawny teenagers; not like the Gen-Mod teenagers who look like they’re 25.”

 “So where is this meeting being held?”

 “Here, in the library. Hardly anyone goes in here.”

 Aria smiled, and said, “Great! I know this is slow progress, but it’s better this way. We have plan everything carefully.”

 Then Aria noticed Ellie, seeming like she was deep in thought. So she asked Ellie, “Elle, what’s on your mind?”

 Ellie replied, “Huh? Well, I have this crazy theory. You know how in Advanced Enhancements and Perfect Beings you have characters that get ‘converted’ into Gen-Mods?”

 “Yeah…”

 “Well…what if the scientists actually do try to convert Normals into Gen-Mods? What if they’re planning this whole thing, but they’re waiting for the Gen-Mods to reveal themselves?”

 That made everyone think. After a few minutes, Declan said, “We should find out if Elle is right or not. For all we know, the scientists might actually be experimenting with converting Normals into Gen-Mods.”

 Avery asked, “And how are we going to find out? Do we just barge into some cosmetic surgery science centre, and asked if they’ve created a way to convert Normals into mutants?”

 Aria thought for a moment, and said, “You know what? That’s not a bad idea. I know a cosmetic testing centre in the City. We should go there after school.”

 As soon as she said this, Declan’s, Ellie’s, and Matt’s phones buzzed. They checked their messages. She asked them, “What’s going on?”

 Ellie grinned as she said, “I got the part!”

 Declan said as he also grinned, “Really? I got the Damon part!”

 Kimmy asked Matt, “Did you get Caleb?”

 Matt smiled as he replied, “Yup.”

 Ellie added, “I have to go the makeup studio near the production studio after school. I need to get a bunch of stuff on me to seem like a Gen-Mod.”

 Declan said, “Yeah, I have to there too…little do they know that I’m already a Gen-Mod.”

 Avery cleared her throat, and said, “Yeah, this is great and all, but…I have the first meeting with the club you lot made me create.”

 Justin told her, “You can still conduct the meeting without us. But…what about going to that cosmetic testing center?”

 Aria thought for a moment, and said, “We have to go during lunch. That’s the only time we can make this happen.”

 Everyone agreed to this plan. As everyone was leaving the library, Declan took Nathan aside, and asked him, “So, did you talk to her?”

 Nathan shook his head, and said, “No. I tried numerous time. She keeps avoiding me. What if she’s beginning to cheat on me?”

 Declan sighed, and said, “I don’t know what to say, Nathan. She hasn’t left you. Yet. The mark you gave her is still on her neck.”

 “How can you tell when there’s makeup covering it?”

 “Gen-Mods can sense when someone belongs to another Gen-Mod.”

 Nathan raised an eyebrow, and said, “Okay…I guess.”

 It’s now around lunch time. The group, minus Avery, went to the nearby subway station. They got on the subway, and they were on their way to the Cosmetic Science Research Centre. They were silent during the ride.

 Nathan, on the other hand, took Rachel aside to a more isolated area of the subway. She asked him with irritation in her voice, “Why are you bringing me here?”

 Nathan told her, “I know you have feelings for another dude.”

 Rachel tried to keep her composure. She has mad that he knows, yet she couldn’t figure out how he found out. So she told him, “No, I don’t.”

 Suddenly, Nathan wiped off the makeup off her neck. He saw that the mark he gave her was still there. He then told her, “Rachel, you don’t get how serious this is. You. Are. Mine. And I need you. My life is in your hands, and you’re almost ready to crush. Besides…I love you.”

 She looked at him with mixed emotions. For a few weeks now, she has been distancing herself from him. She had been trying to text and call Kyle. She even tried messaging him on Tumblr. In all those times, he either ignored her, or told her to stay with Nathan. It got to the point where he ended up blocking her on his social media accounts. 

 Rachel wanted to keep pushing for him. She wanted to date any guy she wanted. She didn’t want to be held down by Nathan. She did everything she could to pretend the mark he gave her wasn’t there.

 Then she blurted this out without thinking, “Maybe I should become a Gen-Mod! Maybe then we won’t be mates together!”

 Nathan was shocked when he heard this. He told her, “Rachel, do you know what you just said? Look, you’re my mate. I need you, but you’re not taking this seriously. You don’t care if I die without you. And if you were to become mutant like me, you’ll most likely be coded to me.”

 With that, Nathan stormed off, leaving a deeply confused Rachel. Before she could do anything, the subway was at their stop. She met up with her group, and they got off the subway. They soon walked over to the Cosmetic Science Research Centre.

 Once they entered, they were approached by a scientist. He asked them, “We didn’t issue any school trips today. Why are you kids here?”

 They all looked at each other, as they didn’t know what to say. So Matt rolled his eyes, and walked up to the scientist. He asked him, “Sir, we’re just trying to get info for a school project. We’re interested in finding out about any new and upcoming cosmetic procedures.”

 Suddenly, the scientist grew a huge grin. He grabbed Matt’s wrist, and told him, “Looks like we got ourselves a volunteer. You’re right, we are working on a new procedure. It should be available to the Genetic Birth and Adoption Agency for anyone who wants to become a Modified.”

 With that, Matt’s eyes widen. He laughed nervously, “Erm, I didn’t volunteer for this.”

 “Well, I do!”

 Matt turned to see it was Rachel! Everyone was shocked by this. Nathan demanded, “Are you fucking crazy? You don’t know what they’ll do to you if your become a mutant!”

 Rachel told him, “If it means I’m programmed to Kyle, then so be it.”

 The scientist walked up to Rachel, and grabbed her wrist. He told the guards, “Take their friends to the observation room. They’re about to witness the most revolutionary cosmetic procedure to date.”

 With that, the group gets taken to an observation room, while Rachel and Matt get sent to individual rooms. Kimmy went up to a guard. She punched him out with her superhuman strength. She then turned to Matt, and said, “You and I going to save our mates from this horrific procedure.”

 Nathan nodded his head. He followed her out of the room. She looked at each door intently. Then she burst the door open. She saw Matt and Rachel being strapped down on their dentist chairs. The lights were blindingly bright, so much so that she had to shed her eyes.

 The scientists saw them, so they grabbed them, and strapped them down to keep them from fighting them. One of the scientists told them, “We have to restrain you in order for this procedure to be successful.”

 Nathan spat at him, “You’re not going to turn my mate into a mutant like me!”

 Kimmy added, “And you won’t do the same to my mate! I’ll fight you!”

 The scientists laughed at the two teens. Then one of them told Rachel and Matt, “First, we’ll inject you a serum that has iron. You need it to fight off the radiation that will be in your veins. This is permanent iron. You won’t have to inject iron into your systems every single day.”

 Rachel gave a shaky breath as she commented, “That sounds like a good idea.”

 Matt opened his eyes to look at Rachel, but the light was too bright for him. So he closed them again, especially as he felt the needle go into his neck.

 The scientist told him, “Boy, you have to keep your eyes open. These lights are necessary for your soon-to-be enhanced vision.”

 Matt spat at him, “No! I never wanted to volunteer! All I wanted was information! Is that too hard to fucking ask?”

 The scientist told him, “Look, we needed volunteers. The Agency has been asking for this procedure for years now. Now we finally got the chance. And don’t worry. Your memory won’t be erased, and you will be programmed to your mate who marked you.”

 That shocked Rachel. She said to them, “But I thought I was going to be mated to another person!”

 They told her, “Nope. You’re being coded to mate with some guy whose name is in Hebrew.”

 Suddenly, Rachel began panicking. She told them, “No…I change my mind!”

 Another scientist told her, “We’ve already injected the iron into you, and you have the mark. Your body has begun the transition into a Gen-Mod. We have to complete the process. I’d brace yourself. The serum is very powerful and painful.”

 Then the scientist held the syringe gun, and injected it into her neck. Suddenly, she began convulsing, and so did Matt. During the convulsion, they installed a microchip behind Rachel’s and Matt’s ears. As soon as the chips were implanted, they turned them on. Kimmy and Nathan watched all of this in horror. They even saw their mates’ bodies changing.

 Kimmy then growled at the scientists, and her eyes darkened out of anger. She began to struggle out of the straps. Nathan noticed this, so he did the same thing. After a few painful minutes, the two were out of the restraints. They both growled like animals at the scientists. 

 The scientists saw this, so they ran out of the room, and locked the door from the outside. Kimmy and Nathan saw that Matt and Rachel had stopped convulsing. They were out cold. Their bodies were now fully developed by the serum. 

 Kimmy unstrapped Matt, while Nathan did same with Rachel. Then Kimmy burst open the door. She carried Matt, while Nathan carried Rachel. 

 Back in the Observation Room, the group were horrified by what they saw. They couldn’t find the words to describe what they witnessed. Then they noticed the two couples were out of the room.  

 Suddenly, the door was burst opened. The group saw a passed out, yet now extremely beautiful Matt and Rachel in Kimmy’s and Nathan’s arms. Kimmy told them, “We have to get out of here before those scientists get the rest of you.”

 Declan told them, “The procedures are successful. I mean, look at our friends! They’re way too beautiful!”

 Aria said, “We’ll take them to our house. In the meantime, we have to run!”

 With that, the group ran out of the Observation Room. As Ellie ran as fast as she could, a scientist grabbed her, and stuck a syringe into her neck. She groaned in pain as she collapsed onto the floor. 

 Declan saw this, so he punched out the scientist. He picked Ellie, and carried her. He asked her, “What did he put in you?”

 Ellie told him, “I don’t know. He just put something in me.”

 Soon everyone was in the Subway, heading back to their school.
