But it was the imprinting that really made me shaken, I mean that's the reason I've been feeling what I've felt around him - I wonder if he feels like he doesn't have control over his life? It's now up to me to choose how I want him in my life as if that's not challenging enough. - Abigail xx"

Previously: "So when they were saying I'm your imprint...that means that we're bonded?" It all makes sense now, the first day when we looked at each other how we couldn't take out eyes off each other. How I feel safe near him. It all makes sense but that doesn't mean I'm calm. I'm far from it.   

Abigail's POV

I feel my heavy eyes open, glancing around the room I notice I'm in my bedroom, I feel an ache throughout my head. I slowly lift myself up from the bed and allow myself to sit for a bit before getting out of the bed completely. I walk towards my bathroom to look at myself in the mirror and notice the heavy bags beneath my eyes and the tired expression my face, deciding to do nothing about it I make my way out of my room and down the stairs.

Once I make my way down I notice the dining filled with large tanned bodies, when I make myself known all eyes snap to my direction but one pair stand out the most to me there is sadness mixed with adoration. I feel my heart pull seeing his expression and I have this urge to run to him and wrap myself in his arms to tell him 'its okay', but I fight the urge and walk a little into the room before leaning against the wall. 

Emily comes over to me with worry in her eyes "are you okay hunny? Trust me we were going to tell you soon but I hope you know we had to keep it from you as it's a big secret" I feel her hands on my arms rubbing me soothingly. Before I know it I pull her towards my body and hug her. I need this. The motherly embrace. After a moment we pull away and I look towards the group skipping those chocolate eyes.

"Um so you're all wolves, hunh?" I rub my hands nervously on my pants legs, I see Embry look at me with concern

"So you're over the shock Abbie?" He has a cautious look on his face as I numbly nod my head in response

"Yeah, but I just can't believe you're all wolves it's crazy" I mumble the last part as I wrap my head around the statement.

"So how'd you react...you know - when Embry told you?" My head snaps towards Jared who was leaning against the wall he had a smile on his face and he seemed genuinely curious

"Ahh well I freaked out-"

"She passed out" Embry's voice cuts me off and I turn to look at him, he takes this as an invitation to slowly step towards me and I allow him to, before he reaches me I hear Jared laugh and I look at him with furrowed brows and a questioning look

"I wanted to see how you dealt with the news, Kim screamed at me then ran away before passing out, so I guess you were a little calmer than she was" he chuckles thinking about the memory, I'm left there imagining it and I can definitely see Kim doing that. I feel myself relax and a smile grace my face.

I hear Embry's throaty chuckle join us "I thought she might've thrown up when I saw her face" I feel my cheeks heat up as Jared's laugh grows louder, I cross my arms over my chest like a child throwing a tantrum topped off with pouting lips. I don't like being the centre of jokes. I feel a nudge and see Embry is beside me with a lopsided smile on his face, I feel myself get lost gazing him.

We all sat around talking allowing me to process everything I had just learnt, after some time the guys left noticing that I'm not going to scream bloody murder. I notice Embry is right beside me and I pull him into a hug. I need this. He makes me feel safe even after all of the information I found out, he still makes me feel secure and protected. I feel his arms wrap around my small frame and he bows his head in to keep me securely against his body

His heat keeps me toasty and comfortable I smile against his chest before I feel guilty for all the pain and worrying I've caused him "I'm sorry". I'm worried he doesn't hear my words as they're mumbled into his shirt but I hear him speak lowly in my ear 

"It's okay, you're not at fault. I wanted to tell you in a different way. I'm so sorry for scaring you"

We spent a short but good moment in that embrace, you could feel the emotions pouring out of him, the love he felt for me, the fear he held not knowing if I would accept him. I felt content and didn't want to leave this moment. Stepping out from his arms I go to the kitchen and grabbed the container which held my apple cinnamon muffins, picking one each for us both I make my way towards Embry. Who in that time had moved to the large couch in the lounge room.

We ate in comfortable silence, before I could feel a shift in the atmosphere Embry seemed to be in deep thought as if he wanted to say something. I could see he was trying to work out if he should or not, so I gently pushed "what's wrong?"

He sighed looking down before looking into my eyes "I don't want to seem pushy, but have you thought about what I told you about the relationship between imprinter and imprintee?"

"Yes, I did. I feel like we should just continue as friends from now, actually spend time getting to know each other and then if something happens later on it happens. Are you okay with that?"

"I'm fine with anything as long as you'll actually talk to me"

And that's how we spent the next hour and a half together in the lounge room playing 20 questions, we both learnt many dislikes and likes about each other like how he loves chocolate and oranges but hates them together as a combination. And I had to agree "it just tastes wrong" I manage to get out in a fitful of laughter.

"I know and those little chocolate balls with an orange flavour inside I don't get how people can eat so many of them" his face screwing up in an adorable way as he thinks of the flavour. It's as we're relaxing that I see this look come across Embry's face "hey Abbie did you want to meet one of my friends?"

I look up at him and smile brightly "yeah sure, but I thought I had met all of the guys?"

I see him look down guilty "well you see once we've seen him you can't tell Sam or the others, alright?"

I nod my head but look at him confused "why?"

Embry looks down "well when I first phased Sam told me that I had to leave my friends and join him so I could control the urge, I was too dangerous to be around as new shifters were unpredictable. This friend that I'm going to let you meet is someone I've known for years; his name is Jacob Black" he looks back up to me and I nod my head in acknowledgement, it makes sense.

His eyes seem to light up and I giggle "sure, lead the way - but first let me quickly get changed"

I run upstairs into my room quickly changing out of my clothes - after realising that I wore this at the bonfire and had slept through my passed-out state in it too - I grab a comfy beige jumper, my black high waisted skinny jeans and my black and white converse. My hair was out in its natural curls and my mother's necklace hung around my neck. My hair was out in its natural curls and my mother's necklace hung around my neck

We pull up to a small red shack but before we even get out of the car I notice a tanned boy with long straight ebony coloured hair, standing outside with a confused and slighty angry look on his face, he must've heard the car coming. Embry has a nervous smile "I've never gone against Sam...I'm so screwed if - when he finds out" I chuckle at him as we step out. I smile at the teen whom I've guessed to be Jacob.

His eyes are curious as he watches Embry and I make our way towards him, "who are you and what are you doing here?" His eyes are hard as his brows pull down in confusion

Embry gives a half smile "what you don't remember your friend Jake? I'm hurt" a small chuckle escapes his lips, before Jacob's face goes from one of confusion to shock before going mad

"Embry?" His tone is astonished before he makes a noise of annoyance "hurt? I'm the one hurt, you left me and Quil for Sam's gang" his voice raised in time with his anger, Embry shakes his head mumbling something along the lines 'it's not like that'.

To say it was a little awkward would be an understatement, but after a little while Jacob seemed to get over his anger was just happy to see his friend again, I was in my own little world when I heard "and this is Abigail" I look up and give a small wave in greeting along with a 'hi' he gives me a toothy smile which shows his youth I would have to guess he was 15 nearly 16.

"I'm Jacob but everyone calls me Jake" I nod my head and keep the information for later, we had all moved into the living room and were talking, Embry had whispered in my ear that Jake had a crush on one of the girls in Forks apparently he had met her before he became a shifter. The comfortable silence that soon followed was interrupted from a loud but distant howl, and Embry sighing, I look towards him confused

"I have to go, Sam's calling, I don't have time-"

"I can take her home"

We look towards Jake in surprise, I feel my mouth turn into a smile, I turn and give Embry a short hug before he jumps in the car and drives off. I awkwardly rub my hands together in my nervousness "did you want to come with me and meet my friend? She's really nice and her dad's the chief of police where we're going so it's safe...just maybe don't say anything to Embry cause he may get angry that I didn't take you straight home" we both laugh.

I smile and nod my head "sure why not"

We walked to this friend's house, once he stops, I look up and see a simple two-story house, I notice a figure in one of the upstairs windows before the curtain closes, Jake along with me walk up the steps and see the front door open before we even get to the porch. Greeting us was a slender girl with long chestnut coloured hair with an oval porcelain face, dressed in a sweater, jeans and converse.

She seemed to be a little nervous, to ease her nerves - even though I was a little nervous myself - I smiled at her "hi, my name's Abigail".

She slightly smiles and nods her head "hey...I'm Bella" her voice is soft, when she turns to Jake her eyes seem to light up slightly "hey Jake"

"Hi Bells" I could see what Embry was saying, Jake looked at Bella the way Embry looked at food and that was pure love.

Bella opens the door wider and gestures to the open space "did you want to come in?" With that invitation we walked into her house. We sat in the lounge room which was a nice cosy space, Bella had offered drinks, so my water was sitting beside me with condensation forming around the glass. We had all gotten into a conversation and were enjoying one another's company, I learnt that Bella lived in this house with her father Charlie who was the Chief of Forks Police - even though Jake had only just told me, it showed she was opening up to me already.

And that she had gotten her eyes from said father, while she got her looks from her mother who is living in Phoenix with her new husband Phil. It was really an interesting conversation about families.

Jake had to leave after some time because his dad wanted him, Bella allowed me to stay and we continued to get to know one another, she was actually a really nice girl when you got her to start talking. I smiled at her "so I heard you have a boyfriend" I was used to these conversations back in Canada with my clique and I just wanted to learn more about Bella as I could see us as friends.

"Oh yeah I do, did Jake tell you?" Her voice was quiet, and her cheeks dusted pink, aww cute.

"Yeah it was something he had said as we walked here...so what's he like, what's his name?" I smile as I got excited wanting to know more.

"Well his name is Edward and he's amazing, he's protective, and he loves me as much as I love him, we have many similarities like our taste in music." I could hear the love she held for him as she spoke while her face became dreamy as she thought of him.

"Aww cute, well I hope I get to meet him. How long have you been together?"

"Yea I could see...umm we started dating when we were juniors, so nearly a year"

"Oh, wow nearly a year, that's cute, ahh you're a senior yeah I'm a junior now, I was trying to work out if you were older than me or not"

"Yeah, thank you. Oh, okay yeah I guess I am then", after that we had fallen into comfortable silence before I noticed the time getting close to 6pm, I needed to be home for dinner. I told Bella that and she agreed as she had to prepare dinner for her father and herself, we walked to the front before I remembered Jake had dropped me.

"Um Bella I know it's a lot to ask since we just met and all, but could you please drive me home? I have no way to get there, I'll give you some money for petrol" I feel myself ramble on as Bella laughs before nodding her head

"Yeah no it's honestly fine. Let's go" I found this shocking, she seemed to have grown to like me in this short time, I follow after her as we get into an orange Chevrolet Truck, she drives me home before doing a quick turn around to drive back to hers. As I'm walking inside, I notice that Sam had a clench jaw and that Embry, Jared and Paul were all standing stock still looking annoyed like Sam, this confused me. 

Paul was heavily breathing before his agitated voice broke the air "so what? You and Leech Lover are friends now? How did you even meet her?" His voice is sharp and controlled.

I furrow my brows at his statement "1. I don't know who you're referring to as Leech Lover, but I was just with Bella, 2. If I want to be friends with someone it's none of your concern and 3. I know her because of Jake" I stand tall proud for standing up against him before I realise I just announced that I had been with Jake. I see all the boys eyebrows crease with confusion

Jared's eyes narrow slightly "how do you know Black?" There is a slight pause before he slowly looks towards a guilty looking Embry and I hear him let an exhausted sigh escape his lips

Sam's commanding voice enters the conversation "Embry you went to see Jacob with Abigail, I told you that you couldn't see him after you phased, since you went against me you can do double patrol for 2 weeks." I look apologetically towards Embry and mouth 'sorry' he just gives me a half smiles and mouths 'don't worry about it' back to me.

Paul's curt voice snaps me back "it is our concern when that supposed friend of yours is dating the enemy"

"That's enough Paul" Embry's firm voice breaks through our conversation

"No, she knows about the wolves why not tell her the cold ones are real too" I see his form shaking from anger, I take a step back dumbfounded

"What?" I feel my head shake as I try to process his words...cold ones...real?

"Yeah that's right, Bella your friend, we call her Leech Lover cause her boyfriend is a vampire" the word is spoken with such venom that I knew it was the truth.

And for the second time in less than 24 hours I feel my sight and hearing vanish from me as my body collides with a strong warm one.

A/N: Ohh it's all happening now, Bella and Jake have both been introduced, Embry got in trouble. I really do want Bella and Abigail to be friends, I think Abbie would be able to help with Bella's confidence and shyness. Whoops Paul told Abigail about the vampires not cool man haha I hope you all liked this chapter.

I will try and get more chapters written for you, the book is going to start to get more action packed now so stay tuned ;)
