Alice yawned as she and Frisk walked the snowy landscape, going towards the area Sans had asked them to go to earlier. They had just been hiding behind the shorter skeleton's stand when his brother Papyrus appeared and the two argued. Well, more like Papyrus yelled at Sans for being lazy while the other told jokes, making the taller skeleton even madder. It had been funny to watch and hear this interaction between the two brothers.

"Quick, behind my stand." Sans told the two girls. They nodded and rushed behind the stand. The two looked out from the sides to watch. A tall skeleton appeared and stopped a couple of feet away from the stand.

"Sup, bro?" Sans said.

"YOU KNOW WHAT SUP BROTHER! IT'S BEEN EIGHT DAYS AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T..." He took in a breath, which is strange considering he doesn't have lungs. "RECALIBRATED. YOUR. PUZZLES! YOU JUST HANG AROUND OUTSIDE YOUR STATION! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?!?" He yelled.

"Staring at my stand. It's really cool. Wanna look?" Sans asked him.

"NO!! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT!! WHAT IF A HUMAN COMES THROUGH HERE!?! I WANT TO BE READY!!! I WILL BE THE ONE! I MUST BE THE ONE! I WILL CAPTURE THE HUMAN! THEN, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS... WILL GET ALL THE THINGS I UTTERLY DESERVE! RESPECT... RECOGNITION...  I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD! PEOPLE WILL ASK TO, BE MY, FRIEND? I WILL BATH IN A SHOWER OF KISSES EVERY MORNING." Papyrus announced, getting sad at the end. Alice frowned slightly, she knew the feeling, it wasn't fun not having friends.

"hmm... maybe something behind my stand will help you." Sans replied.

"SANS! YOU ARE NOT HELPING! YOU LAZY BONES! ALL YOU DO IS SIT AND BOONDOGGLE! YOU GET LAZIER AND LAZIER EVERY DAY!" Papyrus yelled.

"Hey, I've done a ton of work today. A skeleton." Sans joked before winking at the two girls, who were holding in laughs.

"SANS!" Papyrus yelled.

"come on. you're smiling." Sans told him.

"I AM AND I HATE IT!" Papyrus answered before sighing. "WHY DOES SOMEONE AS GREAT AS ME, HAVE TO DO SO MUCH JUST TO GET SOME RECOGNITION." Papyrus trailed off.

"wow, sounds like you're really working yourself... down to the bone" He commented before winking at the girls again. Alice had to cover Frisk's mouth, who had almost fallen over from trying not to laugh.

"UGH!! I WILL ATTEND TO MY PUZZLES... AS FOR YOUR WORK? PUT A LITTLE MORE, BACKBONE, INTO IT!!!! NYEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!" Papyrus laughed before walking off, coming back a second later and going "HEH!" Before finally walking off.

"ok, you two can come out now." Sans said as the two finally fell over and laughed their hearts out over the puns.

"OMG that was hilarious!" Alice said and Frisk nodded in agreement. Sans' grin widen at this and he looked at the two.

"you oughta get going. he might come back. and if he does... you'll have to sit through more of my hilarious jokes." He winked at the end of his sentence and the two girls giggled and nodded.

"Bye Sans. Nice to meet you!" Frisk said as the two left.

They never noticed that Sans had stared at Alice suspiciously as they left.
