     "I swear -- goddamn it -- I swear, we were meant to be!" whispered Dipper, looking at me with warm eyes and sincerity held in them. I nodded my head, and looked at him to show him how much I trusted him and how good and bad that could be.

     "Mabel wasn't there, nor will she ever, okay? You're going to be alright, and Mabel never happened, okay?" he said, clasping both his hands on mine on my cheeks. I nodded once again and hot tears streamed down my face. I hiccuped and looked at him again, his dark eyes glistening.

     "Oh God, Pacifica, you should know this," he said as he brought my head to his chest and sighed. "I only do these things - "

     "Only for me?"

     "Yeah... Only for you."
