Around 8:30 p.m., we arrived at school and drove into the student drop-off area, where my mother typically sends me off. "Farewell, pumpkins; have a pleasant day at school." "Bye mum, I'll see you after school," I remarked as she waved farewell. When I saw familiar faces, I stepped out of the car and walked up to the front door. I noticed those kids that were playing in the basement. I considered approaching them but decided against it after recalling the article I had read. Through periods 1-3, the school was going well, but then fourth period English arrived, and that's when I noticed one of my neighbors' children. He was apparently new to the school and was planning to sit next to me because I was alone. I was initially terrified, fearful that he was a creature from another world who had come to harm humanity, so I remained silent when he sat down. "Hello, my name is Thomas, and what is yours?" "Hey, quiet down and get back to work!" I thought to myself as I looked over at him. The teacher screamed at Thomas and me. I felt relieved when the teacher noticed Thomas chatting. She saved my life by preventing me from having to provide him with any information. When the bell rang, the lesson was finally done, and it was time to go to lunch. I dashed out of the classroom and into the cafeteria, where I could finally mingle with non-creatures. I sat down at one of the farthest tables from the entrance and suddenly forgot that I left my lunch at home. "Hey what's wrong Malorie?" Rosetta said tapping my shoulder "ah it's nothing just me forgetting my lunch at home." I say with sarcasm "well would you like me to get you something from the line?' "No way! School lunches are disgusting" ''ok well if you do want any just ask" I nod my head in approval as I soon fall asleep at the table.
