Chapter Twenty
Where the hell are we?

3rd Person POV

via held sarah as they lay on the bed together. via held sarah close to her chest as john b lay with his back facing away from them. via kissed sarah's shoulder and tasted the sweat

"sarah" via whispered to her

"hmmm" sarah hummed

"are you awake?" via asked and sarah smiled softly

"no via i'm completely asleep" sarah said and via turned sarah to her as she leaned in and kissed her

"morning" sarah said and via smiled

"oh you guys are gross" john b said and via shoved him off of the bed

"you're just sad you're single" Via said and he shoved her shoulder into the bed

"no need to call me out" john b said

"you two are cute" sarah said and via sat up as she turned to her girlfriend

"you're cute" via said and sarah smiled up at her as john b scoffed and turned away from them

"morning love birds and john b" the man said as he pulled their door open and via smiled

"morning" via said and sarah smiled softly at her girlfriend

"coming into port , best not be on board if you don't have a passport , if you know what i'm saying" he said to them

"you guys can go to my bridge" he told them and via walked up first , sarah and john b following behind her

"through here?" john b asked

"you guys need to hustle" he said and they walked upstairs and looked out the window

"welcome to nassau" Sarah said

"it's beautiful" john b said and they looked at sarah's big bahamas house

"guys we are fugitives in a foreign country, we have to hide and lay low" sarah said and they pulled into the port. via and sarah looked at john b and then looked downstairs. they broke through the glass and ran off

"WE HAVE TO GO NOW" Via said and she ran with sarah and john b. they ran throughout until they hid for a second and waited

"i think i know of a place we can hole up , come on" sarah said and they followed after sarah. they walked to a hotel and followed sarah

"babe should we be doing this?" via asked sarah

"it's the safest place for us to be" sarah said and they walked inside as they looked around

"act like you know what you're doing and smile and say hi to people" sarah told them and they walked through hotel

"excuse me. excuse me. may i help you?" a man asked them

"actually yes do you have any bottled water? maybe voss, fiji or. oh thank you i am so parched. i can not wait to get out of these clothes. what time is our reservation babe?" sarah asked via

"oh it's at 4:30" via said playing along

"you have a reservation?" he asked

" Yes. We have a harbor view King on the third floor, and we've been patrons of your hotel for years. And I'll be sure the manager knows of your hospitality, elliot's, thank you" Sarah said and they walked away and the roof. john h snuck away and grabbed a phone but he continued

" Sarah how much do I not know about you?" via asked as john b let them have a moment

" A lot but I'll tell you in due time" sarah said and via kissed her softly. john b smiled at the sight of them , this was what via had wanted

"we should text them" john b said and he took a picture of them
together.

they stayed on the roof texting them back and forth. via smiled at the fact that her sister knew. they then snuck away and john n put the womens phone back

they went downstairs and sarah brought via over to the music as they got the food and ate. john b sat down and let them dance together. via held sarah close and they danced with smiles on their faces. john b watched them and smiled

they continued to dance and people clapped for them. at the end of the night, via and sarah fell asleep holding each other but when sarah woke up, john b was gone and she was worried

via continued to sleep, she didn't notice that john b or sarah were gone until the morning when she woke up and noticed. she looked around and then let the building. when she left, she was knocked out and brought to where john b and sarah were

"VIA!" sarah exclaimed

"SARAH! Thank god you're okay"' via said and she hugged sarah close to her

"and where did you go?" she asked john b

"we both know where he went" sarah said and via scoffed

"you really left without us" via said to john b and he sighed

"via come on please" he tried but she shook her head

"no you left and you promised, you don't get to do that" Via said and they watched john b get choked

"you can run but you can't hide. we've got eyes everywhere john b" he told them as john b was let go

"after all our hospitality, you left without saying goodbye and busting our window open" he said to them

"let us go" sarah spoke up

" i got 50,000 reasons whether that ain't gonna happen" he stated

"we didn't anything. john b didn't do anything" sarah spoke

"maybe you did . maybe you didn't. i don't care. we let the courts decide. bring him to the proper authorities" he exclaimed

"wait wait no please. we didn't do anything, some other rich white people who get away with everything did this. they killed her and she didn't deserve it but please dont. we can pay you" via tried

" You got 50 K in your back pocket? If not, bye-bye" he said and john b removed the backpack as via took it and brought out the gold plate

" What is that?" he asked

" Fucking gold what does it look like?" via retorted

"give it to me" he exclaimed and via handed it over to him. he bit it

" 143,000 reasons to let us go. More than the bounty" sarah said as cleo hit it with a knife

" I'll tell you all. That is your rescue for you. But I want my bounty too" he said and john b was led away

" No fuck that that was in the deal! There's more than that OK but that's just one of them OK" Via tried

" Look, I went to Paradise Island, to her family's house. There's hundreds of millions of dollars worth of that cold there. It is an empty, undefended house. She has the entry codes" john b said and he was let go

" Girlie is this true?" terrance asked

" It's my family's house. The gold's there. And I can get you to it" she said and they got in the car as they drove to the house

" Home sweet home. Take us to your mansion , Miss fancy pants" Terrance said as via sat in the front with sarah and they got there. terrance hoped out first

" john b is the gold even there?" via asked

" i think so" john b said and via threw her hands up

"great just great you think it's there, that's just wonderful" she said and they pulled up to the gate

" I'm here to pick up a leaf blower from Bayline. I do a lot of work over here" John b said and they drove away from the gate and into the house yard. they got o it and terrance looked around as sarah grabbed the key

" Can be pretty rich to have a waterfall in your front yard. You're full of surprises, aren't you, miss rich? I absolutely love what you've done with the landscaping" terrance said and sarah opened the door

" Let's just go and get this done yeah?" via said and they walked into the house and they looked around. they walked in and looked around as they walked to the safe

" OK, let's see here" sarah said and she leaned down to the lock

" Best remember that combo. I know I never should've listen to you" Terrance exclaimed

" Hey give her a minute" via stated

" Usually, he uses his birthday. Maybe I entered it wrong" Sarah said

" Chop chop let's go" Terrance continued

" I'm trying." Sarah said

" Terrence I will shove your foot in your mouth if you don't give her a minute" Via said and she tried roses birthday

" Wow feisty little thing" terrance said

" Yeah watch it" she said and sarah entered her birthday making it open

" Bingo not sure. I'll be damned" terrance said and via laughed

" Go get the goddamn duffel bag stubbs" terrance said and he started to grab the gold until a cat pulled up

" Shit securities here we gotta go" via said and she grabbed sarah's hand as they ran upstairs. sarah and via ran a different way then john b

sarah and via rant out of the building and continued to run until they got away

they had almost gotten away but they had a gun poined at them

"GIVE ME THE GODDAMN KEYS" terrance yelled at them

"fuck you terrance" and she threw the keys at them before she and sarah ran away

via had been scared before but not this scared. never this scared, she was horrified and it could only get worse
