chuuya kicked his shoes off, trying to be as quiet as possible. he knew you were asleep, it was 3 in the morning, so he tried not to bother you. he had been working for 96 consecutive hours, so you and chuuya hadn't spent much time together. he collapsed onto the bed, groaning quietly.

"you awake?" chuuya murmured, prodding your cheek slightly. you groaned, turning around to face him. you gave him a sleepy smile.

"welcome home, love, how was work?" your voice was groggy, but it was cute.

chuuya ran a hand through your hair, enjoying the way you leaned into his touch sleepily. "wanna go for a joyride?"

"at three am?"

"is there a problem with that?"

"no, let's go." you rolled out of bed, pulling on a pair of trousers and a hoodie while he strolled out of the house. "chuuyaaaaa, at least wait for me!"

"just come on!"

he rode you out the city, the nighttime lights whizzing past you until they faded behind you, a soft hum of the forest filling your ears, the gorgeous fireflies lighting up the sky as chuuya rode the car up a hill. he stopped the car and the two of you got out, sitting on the hood of the car. he wrapped a comfy blanket around the two of you as you both stared up at the starry night sky. you watched the constellations, the shooting stars, and the dancing fireflies in awe, a small gasp escaping your lips. "ah, it's so beautiful," you whispered, watching the beginning of a meteor shower.

"yeah," chuuya murmured sleepily. "i'm glad i get to see it with you." his voice trailed off as chuuya rested his head on your shoulder. you looked down at him, his vermillion hair and milky skin illuminated by the falling stars. a small giggle left your lips as you watched him fall asleep almost immediately. you pulled the blankets tighter around your bodies, smiling softly.

"yeah, this is nice."
