5: Not Knowing (Kristanna)
Anna trudged through the snow back to her apartment from the ice cream shop where she worked. It wasn't even thanksgiving yet, but they already had a foot of the powdery white stuff.
Anna was angry. She hated that Kristoff. Always had. Always would. Ever since she started working there he had been rude to her.
Her sister Elsa worked with her and kept telling her that Kristoff was actually really nice, and that she was just being too stubborn. Anna didn't care. She knew he was obnoxious and arrogant, that was all that mattered.
"Anna! Wait up!" A voice sounded behind her. She spun around to face the person. She was shocked to see Kristoff standing there.
"What do you want?" Anna demanded harshly.
"Why do you hate me so much?"
"I don't have to answer that." She turned back around and continued walking through the snow covered park. It was a beautiful scene, despite the coldness that stung her body. The sun was setting, reflecting orange and pink off the snow.
"Anna." Kristoff started walking beside her, trying to reason. "I just don't understand."
"You don't have to."
"The worst thing in the world is not knowing."
Anna abruptly stopped walking. She knew how it felt to not know what had gone wrong, or why things had happened. It was one of the worst feelings to experience. But why did she care about him? Oh, that's right...she didn't.
"Kristoff," she started sternly, "go away."
The shaggy blonde raised his his hands up in surrender. "Alright, alright."
Anna made sure he wasn't going to follow her anymore, then walked back to the apartment where her family lived. It was dark out by the time she opened the front door.
She hung up her black pea coat in the closet next to Elsa's white one, and slipped her wet boots off. She walked down the narrow hall to the living room. Elsa sat on the couch sobbing onto their aunt Primrose's shoulder.
"Wh-what's going on?" Anna asked. By the look on her Aunt's face she could tell it wasn't good. Both of their faces were red and wet from tears. "Where are mom and Dad?
Rose looked at Elsa and nodded.
No this really wasn't good and she knew it. Her parents went on a buisness trip, and they were supposed to be home today, but they were nowhere to be seen.
Elsa slowly stood up. "Anna..." She started slowly and took hold of Anna's hands. "Mom and Dad's plane crashed off the coast of the Atlantic. They found the wreckage...and their bodies."

Months had gone by since their parents died. Anna sat, on her bed looking out the window at the February day. Children were playing in the snow, making snow angels--something Anna used to do with her entire family when she and Elsa were children.
There was a knock at her door. "Come in."
Her cousin Rapunzel walked into the room. She and her fiancée started living with with Anna and Elsa soon after the funeral.
Rapunzel sat next to Anna and took her hand. "Elsa's tried everything to help you. But seeing as that it's not working, she finally allowed me to try." Anna stared blankly at the choppy haired brunette. "Anna, your mom and dad wouldn't want you to mope around like this. They would want you to celebrate their lives, then move on." Rapunzel smiled and tucked a messy strand of hair away from Anna's face. "You need to move on. I know it's hard, but you'll never forget them. They'll always be with you, in your heart. And you have such a big heart, Anna."
Rapunzel kissed her forehead. She stood up, "You have the get to work soon too." She sighed.
Anna got dressed for work and put her hair into its usual two braids. But when she looked in the mirror she didn't see what she thought she would see. Instead of her cheery self, she was replaced with someone broken and scared.
The sisters walked to work together. When they got there the manager called them into his office.
Hans, the ginger man that Anna thought she had fallen in love with but turned out only wanted to take advantage of her, sat in a cushioned chair. "Elsa, we have a new employee, Mr. Overland." He gestured to a lanky brunette in the corner. "I'd like you to train him."
"Yes sir. Will that be all?" Elsa acted obedient, but as soon as they left the store Anna would hear Elsa go on and on about how much she hated the man.
"For you, yes. You two may go."
Elsa and the boy hesitantly left the room.
"Sit down, Anna." Hans commanded, Anna was aware that he knew what a vulnerable state she was in. She sat in the chair opposite him, but he got up and sat in the seat next to her anyway. "I know you want to accept my offer." He taunted.
She didn't. She didn't want to be his sex toy, not in billion years! But she showed no emotion, no sign that she disagreed.
Hans put his hand on her leg. She looked down. It wasn't right, she wanted to scream but no words came. Tears blurred her vision. His hand slowly went up her skirt, but she just stayed there, unmoving.
"Mr. Westerguard." Kristoff opened the door and Hans's hand sprung away. Kristoff's eyes widened at what he saw."Anna?" He looked back and forth between the two. "I quit." Kristoff took Anna by the arm and pulled her out of the chair.
"What?" Hans yelled, outraged.
"I saw what you were trying to do to her! I refuse to work for a prick like you! Lets go, Anna."
Hans yelled as they raced out of his office.
They were running through the storage area. "Anna what's going on?" Elsa asked.
"I'm getting her out of here." Kristoff answered. "You need to quit, Els."
"What, why?"
"I'll explain later, just do it."
"YOU'RE BOTH FIRED!" Hans roared.
Kristoff raced out the back door dragging Anna behind him. They kept walking until they reached the park. They sat on a bench
Anna didn't know what to do. She was cold, having left her coat at ice cream shop, and now both she and her sister would be jobless. To top it off she was in shock at what Hans almost did to her.
But the question was, "Why would you do that?" She asked Kristoff.
"Huh?"
"You just quit your job, why?"
"One, I don't want to work for an ass that takes advantage of people." He said softly. He must've noticed that Anna didn't have a jacket because he took his off and wrapped it around her lean figure. "And two, I never wanted to work for that douche anyway."
"I still don't understand. I hate you, and have done nothing more than be rude to you."
"Some people are worth fighting for." He said quietly.
He wasn't giving Anna answers, just like she never gave him answers. She sighed loudly and and faced him on the bench. She took his face in her hands, forcing him to look her in the eyes. He was confused but she didn't care. "The worst thing in the world is not knowing," she quoted him, and he seemed to understand.
He took her hands off his face and held them gently. She was surprised how warm he was compared to her ice-cold hands. "Anna. I know you hate me, but people fight for the ones they love."
She had no idea what to say. Here was a guy who loved her, and just saved her from being raped...yet she couldn't find any words to say.
Kristoff let go and stood up, "I'll walk you home, it's freezing." He held his hand out to her and she took it. The two started walking to her apartment.
"Thank you. Not just for today, but for always being there even though I didn't realize it."
He smiled and gripped her hand tighter, "Don't mention it."
Ten minutes later they reached the stairs leading to her front door. "Bye, Anna."
She started walking up the stairs, but spun around halfway. "You're not going to stop fighting now, are you?" Anna teased.
Kristoff chuckled, "never."
"Good." She raced back down the stairs and kissed him. Her arms wrapped around his neck. He drew her in closer, as he kissed her back. She pulled away and walked all the way to the top of the stairs. "I'm keeping your jacket, by the way." She entered the door and slowly closed it, getting one last glance at the muscular blonde that stood at the bottom of the staircase.
She used to hate him, but now she found herself falling in love with him.
