"Tommy! Tommy, you need to wake up. Your gonna be late for school."

"mmmm." 5 year old Tommy stired awake.

"Morning sleepy head." Tommy opened his eyes to see his big brother Wilbur standing next to his bed.

"I made you pancakes Tom." Wilbur smiled.

Tommy shot out of bed and rushed down the stairs. Wilbur laughed at his younger brothers antics.

After breakfast Tommy got dressed and was now sitting in the kitchen while Wilbur brushed his hair. 

"Hold still! I'm trying not to hurt you!" Wilbur scolded Tommy.

"There! Now lets get you outside before Schlatt leaves without you." Wilbur said grabbing Faith(Fundy)  in one arm and holding Tommy's hand with the other.

"Morning Schlatt!" Wilbur smiled.

"Hey Wil." Schlatt turned facing the boys.

"Hi uncle Schlatt!" Tommy let go of Wilbur's hand to hug Schlatt.

"Hey buddy. We better get going." Schlatt looked back up at Wilbur.

"Have a good day boys!" Wilbur said as Schlatt, his son Tubbo and Tommy walked away.

Tommy usually liked school but he didn't like today. Today some kid was picking on Tubbo so Tommy tried to protect him. After he told Tuboo to go get a teacher and Tuboo had left the kid said something to Tommy. 

"Aw are you gonna cry to mommy and daddy for help? Oh wait, you don't have parents!" The kid laughed.

Tommy went silent and it seemed as though the world around him did too. He was too deep in thoughts. Thoughts like: "I don't need parents... I have Wilby... Wilby, uncle Schlatt and Tubbo are the only people I need.". After Tubbo hugged him he was seperated from his thoughts. 

"Are you okay Tom?" Tubbo asked.

"Yeah... Just worried about you. Are you okay?" Tommy quickly replied.

"I'm fine thanks to you Boss man!" Tubbo said proudly.

Chatter filled the halls of Elm Grove Primary School(Real place near Brighton) as kids poured out the doors to their parents. Tommy and Tuboo looked around the yard for Schlatt.

"There he is!" Called Tommy. 

The boys walked to Schlatt and gave him a hug. 

"Hello boys. How was today?" Schlatt said picking up Tubbo.

"Some mean kid picked on me but Tommy saved me!" Tubbo said hugging his dad.

"Well whatever they said doesn't matter." Schlatt said grabbing Tommy's hand as they started their walk.

It was their routine. Wilbur would get Tommy ready, Schlatt would come pick him up, walk the boys to school and pick them up after school. Wilbur would stay home and take care of 2 year old Faith(Fundy). 

"Hello boys!" Wilbur greeted standing on the door step like every day.

"Hi Wilbur!" The young boys said in unison.

"Hey Tom, you doing okay?" Wilbur popped his head in.

"I'm okay Wil..." Tommy said as he climbed in bed for the night.

Wilbur walked in and sat on the bed by Tommy's feet.

"You know I'm here if you need to talk..." Wilbur said as he slowly rubbed the boys covered feet.

"mhm" Tommy said refusing to make eye contact.

"Whats bugging you Songbird?" Wilbur asked. It was hard for Tommy to ignore his brother when he used nicknames.

"Do... Do I need a mommy or daddy to fit in? Cause a mean kid made fun of me today..." Tommy said tearing up.

"Oh Songbird..." Wilbur said picking Tommy up and placing him on his lap. "I think our life is pretty perfect but..."

"But?" Tommy questioned.

"If you wish to meet dad then we can visit him..." Wilbur finished.

"Really?" Tommy looked up at Wilbur as tear dried on his face.

"Really." Wilbur gave Tommy a kiss before getting up to leave.

"Oh and Tom," Wilbur paused at the door.

"Hm?" Tommy said half asleep.

"I'll always be here for you..."
