Mario hadn't always liked pineapple pizza. But wait, if he didn't like it to begin with, how did he start to like having pineapple of all things on his pizza? Well... that's a bit of a story. 

He hadn't liked him at first. At first, he was just his brother's goofy best friend who always saw fit to flirt with him when he came over. But over time, he grew on him, with his sparkling blue eyes and witty remarks. Eventually, he even agreed to go on a date with him. 

Their first date was at a pizza place and Mario had been shocked when he saw him order pineapple pizza. He had never tried it before but everyone had always said it was disgusting. Practically a taboo. But the only thing his date said when he mentioned this was: don't knock it til you try it. 

That led to him trying pineapple pizza for the first time, and while he didn't actually like it, he decided to be nice and not say so. This led to other nights when his boyfriend would bring in pineapple pizza and he decided to be nice and not say anything about being a big fan. And over time, he stopped being nice, because he actually started to like it. Like coffee, pineapple pizza is a bit of an acquired taste. 

He endured the remarks from Xylo, Kayla-Bear, and Bryan about how no one should like pineapple pizza because no matter what they said, pineapple pizza was one of the few things that reminded him of his boyfriend. After all, it was more likely that he would see a piece of pineapple pizza again than see his boyfriend again. 

As they arrived at the next floor, Mario was shocked as he smelled something he hadn't for a while. He grinned even as Xylo, Bryan, and Kayla-Bear all groaned as the scent of pineapple pizza hit their noses. While the others were determined to get through this floor as quickly as they could, Mario was curious as to what other SCP liked pineapple pizza so much that they could smell it when they walked through the doors. 

They walked through the floor for a bit but they couldn't find where the smell was coming from until they came to a door that had a sign marking it as SCP 4250's containment room. 

"Oh great, SCP 4250... hopefully, this one's still in containment," Xylo said even as Bryan looked a little scared as he eyed the room. 

"Why? What's SCP 4250?" Kayla-bear asked curiously. 

"SCP 4250 is what's known as the demon in disguise," Xylo revealed. "He looks like an ordinary human, and for the most part, he is one. But if he doesn't have one of two things with him, he flips out and becomes a complete demon, the whites of his eyes going black while darkness surrounds him."

"That sounds scary." Kayla-Bear shivered even as Mario asked. "So what two things calm him down?"

"Well, the first one we've never actually been able to give him as his boyfriend died in the car accident that led to his demon being unleashed and him going on a killing spree. We figured that his boyfriend is what kept him calm until then. The other thing that keeps him calm is pineapple pizza for some reason, probably because of the demon." Xylo shakes his head.

"Pineapple pizza is good! It doesn't take having a demon to like pineapple pizza." Mario protested. 

"If ya think so, you can go in and make sure he's still in containment then," Bryan said before he opened the door and shoved Mario in. 

Mario couldn't see anything at first. The room was encased in darkness. Probably not a good sign considering that Xylo said that this was what happened if he didn't have his pizza. While he couldn't see anything, he could hear movement. The sound of footsteps coming closer and close to him until suddenly they came to a complete stop. 

"Identify yourself." A gruff voice commanded, the voice sounded familiar for some reason but he couldn't put his finger on it. 

"I am SCP 5020, the man who can come back from the dead, otherwise known as Mario Divil," Mario replied and the voice from before hitched. 

Suddenly, the darkness receded. Mario's eyes widened as the shadows sunk into a tall figure. Though it was only when all the shadows were gone and the figure had opened his eyes that Mario recognized him. 

"D-David?" Mario asks in shock as he stares at the man. 

The man stares back with the same shocked look before he rushes forward and lifts Mario into the air. "Marie! You're alive! You're fricking alive! All this time I thought you were dead but you're alive!"

Mario laughs a little at being picked up even as he wipes happy tears from his eyes. "I thought I'd never see you again..."

David hugs him tightly before he suddenly pulls back and asks. "How are you here? I thought they were trying to keep as many SCPs in containment as possible?"

"Well-" Before Mario could finish Xylo called through the door. "Mario, are you ok in there?"

"I'm fine!" Mario turns back to David before saying. "How 'bout I explain on the way since there's no way I'm letting you go again."

David smiled slightly at that and nodded, causing Mario to grab his hand and drag him out the door. The other three were shocked as he dragged David out though. 

"Mario! You were supposed to make sure he was in containment." Bryan pointed out before he registered that Mario had brought him outside and the man didn't seem like a demon. That is until David growled and said. "I thought I lost him once, I'm not letting him go again."

"Wait lost him once?" Kayla-Bear asked in confusion. 

"Yeahhhhh, turns out, I'm actually the first thing you mentioned, Xylo," Mario said rubbing the back of his neck as the others' eyes went wide.

"Wait seriously?" Kayla-Bear asked. 

"Yep, Kayla-Bear, Xylo, Bryan, this is my boyfriend, David." Mario introduced them, smiling as David pulled him close. 

The others gaped at him in shock, causing a bit of chuckling to ensue as the couple explained what had led up to them being captured by the SCP foundation as well as the whole pineapple pizza thing. What can they say, it was something they both shared a love of and while the disgust on the other three's faces showed, they didn't say anything after David's eyes flashed dark once again. Not that he had to, David always had been the more intimidating one in their relationship, the demon features just added to it.
