Trigger warnings: pushing away people and negative self talk

Qibli's POV

I wake up to Winter screaming in his sleep, Turtle and Umber stare at me. "what?" I whisper Turtle and Umber give me the stare of 'you wake him up' I blush deep red like a cherry. "oh worry we'll leave." says Turtle chuckling and dragging Umber with him. I turn back to a still screaming Winter, "Winter wake up" I say shaking him lightly "huh?" he says groggily "you were screaming in your sleep and I got worried." I say "oh wait where are the others?" he asks sitting up "they went swimming." I answer helping him off the ground "wait I thought Umber can't swim." I say coming to reality "no he can't this is going to be fun." he says smirking and we peek our heads out of the cave just to pull them back in. "did you see-" he starts "yeah" I say cutting him off. "how did they think they were gonna hide it from us?" I ask "they didn't." he answers I snort and we burst into laughter as Turtle and Umber walk in, Umber blushes light pink and Turtle looks between the three of us then states "you two like each other too." pointing at me and Winter, we stop laughing. 'why would he like me???' I think

Winter POV

Qibli is silent no jokes no smirks just silence  but so am I. 'why would he like me? he doesn't. he deserves more than me. I am stupid to think the sand snouted cutie would like me.' I thought "you like me?" he asks cocking his head and sending new waves of heat over me from across the room. this time without saying anything Turtle and Umber both leave. "ummmmm" I say then try to put a smirk on which I fail at cause he pouts and asks " do you?" I look at him "maybe..." I say feeling blue blush crawling across my face so I hide it he grabs my face and says "no I want to see your pretty face don't try to hide what you are."

Qibli's POV

that was stupid I am stupid why did I say that??? "sorry." I Mumble but he just says "no it's good advice you should use it too." he shivers in the cold air and without thing I put a wing around him. that was stupid too why did I do that? then I am interested by a purr next to me "did you just-" he cuts me off "shhhhh" 

Winter POV

the warmth feels so nice I purr. I PURR WTF ME AND THEn I SUSH HIM AHHHHHHHHHH IF ANYTHING SAYS I LIKE YOU ITS THIS! OH WELL I LIKE HIM TO LATE TO STOP MEEEE!!! I snuggle into his side and he puts his wings around me. I feel safe for the first time in my life so I stay there.
