❝ because my mouth surrendered and now it's my heart whispering ❞ 

 ~as feelings never stay in equilibrium, some grow and some descend,  

but some ascend, up and above into the clouds- ascending syllables~

cherry blossoms float away into the spring light, warm as the glow of dawn, along with the gentle breeze as pink as they are - how light, how free—

passing by the streams of that fading sunlight

once again, i'm reverted back to past memories with you, that day we were together, i felt as though it was only us at this exact same place. with cherry blossoms floating away into the pastel pink sky and as you gazed at that splendor, i just sat there watching you

because you were even more beautiful than those cherry blossoms

and i remembered tragic, lifeless eyes; eyes that held more than you would ever express. but i'm thankful for the bright eyes and wide smiles only when with you; of the fluttering of heart just by looking at you, the countless sacrifices you made

you held yourself back for others

it was never about you; you taught me so much, how unselfish your heart was, filled with complete and utter compassion— so i tried to repay you with the same amount of kindness

except i never could compare to all you did

can i look right into your eyes again and see how they lit up when they collided with mine? i miss your small shy smile that matched mine—

so pure and ethereal;

eyes that curved so beautifully as the shape of the moon, you glowed more radiantly than the morning sun, i'll always be looking at you, focused on you only

reminiscing those tender, heart-stopping moments

i wish i could play all those love songs for you while you listen to the soft strums coming from my guitar, because you were my inspiration; i want you to hear my heart

—only you would know

there were so many gloomy days before us, where our hearts ached with fear and longing for a future, uncertain; our minds were filled with hazy dreams that seemed so distant

so i would say to you right now; let's be stronger today, let courage take flight and we'll run away freely, hand in hand under the dazzling moonlight

as if it were only the two of us who existed in this universe

➴specially for ethereal_quill, hope you like the poem above! it's kind of (hopefully) the opposite of 'descending syllabus' 💖 well, i'm back to reading DS and i just love your style and flow of words, reading it always feels so soothing and serene with a dash a nostalgia and sadness— i love reading it! right now, i'm kind of on a re-reading spree for DS XD this poem is a positive one at the end and is a message for us that we should fly freely towards our dreams and to let courage take over our hearts ;)

p.s. arr, i hope i incorporated the 'light' theme into the aesthetic above. it's white and light pink - because you remind of light, soft clouds and sweet cotton candy ^~^

[ just a note ] the poem is the story is of a guy who watched a girl sacrifice herself in order to help others to reach their dreams/ who spent her life reaching out to others around her, and so she never gave herself the opportunity to do anything for herself. he remembers good times spent with her and wishes for her to soar and achieve what she always wanted to without anything holding her back. he promises that he would be there with her to help her attain her dreams but then she's already gone, so he's the only one left to be courageous for the both of them.
