Third person's pov:

As the day went by, Suchitra had a lot of fun with the royals of Dwarkanagri, after a hot gossip session with the ladies, a spiritual talk with Vasudev and a lot of catching up with Balram dau, the evening had finally arrived. She had taken a bath and changed into fresh clothes as she was informed that soon Krishna would be arriving with a "surprise" as he puts it and he had requested that they should visit the temple of Mahadev and Mata Parvati.

She decided to go to the entrance of the palace where she was supposed to meet everyone and then proceed for the temple. Once she arrived, she found all the family members standing together and chatting. She rushed to them and immediately apologised "I am so sorry for making all of you wait! I was too confused in choosing what to wear so I lost track of time" she sheepishly admitted and rubbed the back of her neck, Mata Rohini chuckled at her behaviour "It is quite alright putri, you don't have to apologise for it, we understand"

Suchitra gave her a smile. All of them started climbing up the chariots which were lined up outside the entrance. Everyone was excited to see Krishna, even though it has been only half a day, he was missed dearly by all his family members. That's Manmohana for you. She climbed up a chariot and sat down with Subhadra. The girl was wiggling happily on the thought of meeting her brother, perhaps someone else as well, Suchitra chuckled and patted her back lightly "Calm down Subhadra, we are going to mee them soon" she said with a knowing smile. Subhadra blushed at her comment, knowing that it was obvious that she was excited for some unstated reasons. "Jiji, why are you giving me that creepy smile of yours?! To tell the truth, it is very terrifying" Suchitra gasped dramatically and played along with it "You wound me Subhadra! And here I thought that you and I had something special.....It seems that I was heavily mistaken" with the sad and sullen look she had on her face, anyone could have been tricked that she was indeed very hurt. She is an actress after all, expressions and manipulation were in her blood, not that she went on manipulating people or anything.

The evening was quite beautiful, the warm glow of the sunset gave a feeling of peacefulness. The birds chirped away as they settled into their humble abode with their little ones, ready to end their day. The air was crisp, it carried a faint smell of flowers from the gardens and fields around them. Suchitra took a deep breath, she closed her eyes as she felt the air on her skin and smiled at the blissful atmosphere.

Finally when they arrived to the temple everyone looked very excited and curious about what the surprise would be. Suchitra looked at the faces of all the family members, some held a small smile trying to mask their curiosity while some cough Subhadra cough were jumping around. All of them entered the temple and were immediately greeted by the priests Vasudev went ahead and bowed his head infront of the brahmans to gain their blessings and soon everyone else followed his actions.

When it was Suchitra's turn, the whole family had moved forward, she joined her hands and bowed her head in respect waiting for the priest to offer her blessings. When they were doing so, a loud gasp resonated amongst them. The oldest priest present there was looking at Suchitra with wide astonished eyes, he slowly moved forward and said "My child raise your head" Suchitra followed and when there eyes met there was a sudden pain in her head which went away as quickly as it came. This confirmed his suspicion, he gave the younger girl a soft knowing smile and patted her head. "Good luck" he said in an unfathomable tone and went away leaving Suchitra confused.

She was about to follow him when she heard her name being called, she turned to the source and saw Revati bhabhi motioning her to join them. She once again looked in the direction where the priest went but he was no where to be seen, she mentally cursed herself for losing the opportunity of finding out the real reason of her unrequired presence in this yuga. She turned around and joined the family once again and apologised for her lagging behind.

A little time passed as the royals waited in temple for the much awaited entry of their Krishna. As if their prayers were heard, they didn't have to wait longer. The charismatic man surrounded with his divine aura walked in, looking at all of them with a mischievous yet serene smile, behind him entered none other than Arjun whose presence made Subhadra and Suchitra light up the former being happier than the latter.

Krishna and Arjun approached the family standing infront of them with smiles adorning their faces. They bowed down to touch the feets of the elders and receive blessings before greeting the younger girls "You made us wait for a long time sakha" Suchitra spoke up in a sarcastic tone which made him chuckle "Why my dear sakhi, the surprise I have brought is not something measly and does require some patience. After all it is something very precious, it took us a long time to retrieve it" he said in an innocent tone which Suchitra immediately knew was to tease her. She smirked and shook her head.

"Putra, do not make wait any longer and show us the surprise! We must also see what is it that is so rare and precious that took a whole day to be found" Mata Rohini ushered and mata Devaki nodded, backing up her co-wife. Krishna smiled and looked at Arjun who nodded in understanding and stepped away from the entrance and went beside Suchitra. "I really wanted to go with the both of you" she whispered to him. Arjun became stiff and cleared his throat lightly "Well....it is good that you didn't. The mission was very dangerous" he whispered back, truth to be told it wasn't the danger part he was worried about, he knew Suchitra was capable of keeping herself safe, it was the Brihanalla part. His cheeks turned reddish when he thought of the embarrassment he would have had to face if she was there. The mighty Arjun, dressed as a woman would not have been a good impression on the lady.

"What are you two talking about?" Subhadra butted in looking shyly at the two. "Oh, I was just trying to get some information out of him" answered Suchitra at which the younger nodded and relaxed. Suchitra subtly raised a brow at her reaction and tried to hold back a smirk. 'It seems that the little miss can get a little jealous. I'll have fun with this information' she thought to herself.

Her attention went back to Krishna who was motioning someone to enter. And soon after a beautiful woman adorned with jewels and a wedding attire came inside and stood infront of them. Suchitra's mouth parted at the sight of the enthralling woman who stood infront of her with a small smile. Devi Rukmini stood there, with her transcendent beauty. Her charm seemed otherworldly and her presence lit up the place even more than Krishna's. Her aura was serene and captivating carrying enchanting and heavenly qualities which one could not pinpoint but definitely feel.

"Close your mouth or you'll catch a fly" came a whisper from her sight breaking her out of the trance she was caught in. She turned to her side to see Arjun looking at her with an amused expression, she huffed and rolled her eyes, secretly jabbing him with her elbow when no one was looking.

"Mata, pitaji, dau, bhabhi and my dear behena, meet my wife Rukmini" Krishna introduced and this caused several gasps to resonate. Mata Devaki and Mata Rohini rushed to him and started asking if he was joking or not. "Kanha are you saying you got married without our permission? And to the Vidarbhkumari? Who was set to marry Shishupal?" Balram questioned in a heavily confused tone "Yes dau I did, but hear us out before jumping to conclusions" with that Krishna explained everything to his family.

Once the explanation was over Rukmini stepped forward making all eyes turn to her. She joined her hands in respect and spoke up "I hope you all accept me as your daughter in law. I promise to be a good wife to Arya and fulfill all my duties as the member of the Dwarka family" her soft honeylike voice made everyone's hearts melt. Mata Devaki chuckled and said "Well aren't the newlywed going to take our blessings? The marriage would not be complete without those, would it?" Her words made the devi's demeanour light up as she looked at Krishna with a bright smile and red cheeks. Both of them moved forward and bent down to take the blessings of the elders.

Suchitra watched the scene with a smile, she was indeed a very lucky person that she got to witness it. Yet again a whisper broke out of her thoughts, this time the breath of the speaker hit her neck from behind, leading to a chill running down her spine "You don't need to look at them as if this is the last time you witness such a thing, one day it will be you in place of them with your future husband" Arjun spoke in a teasing manner. He liked teasing her, and it was a really nice chance since everyone was busy with the newlywed. 'Future husband' Oh how he wished to say 'me' instead. But when he realised what he was thinking he immediately snapped out of it, 'this is wrong what am I even thinking' and stepped back creating an appropriate distance between them.

Both of them stared at each other for a moment before clearing their throats and looking away "Well, that day is still very far away......and I don't even know if it would come. I have never really thought about getting married till now" Suchitra admits, it was true that she never really thought of getting married. It was never an important point of discussion at her home, her family wanted her to focus on her education and she was grateful for that. "Well that's very odd since every lady dreams of getting as per Dushala" Arjun said "But I guess it can be counted"

Before any other words could be shared between the two Krishna called them over saying that they are leaving "Parth, you should stay with us for a few days. Suchitra is staying too" He said with mischief filled eyes making Suchitra narrow her eyes in suspicion. "Yes putra Arjun hou should stay with us" agreed Vasudev. Arjun was quick to agree with them and walked away from Suchitra towards the men.

Suchitra joined the women who were talking amongst themselves. Rukmini made her towards her and said "Suchitra, am I seeing the right thing? Is there something between you and Bhrata Arjun?" she teasingly asked but her eyes held an understanding look. Suchitra blushed and quickly shook her head "No no! Bhabhishree you are seeing the absolutely wrong thing" she said and rushed away leaving the other ladies in confusion and leaving behind a chuckling Rukmini.

Hey guys! I am back! I know, once again I am sorry for such late update. As an apology I decided to write a super long chapter! I hope you liked it and finally, Rukmini has arrived! She will definitely do something after what she saw *evil laughter* bhabhishree is going to play matchmaker.
