* 12 YEARS LATER *

It has been 12 years since Suchitra magically appeared in the dwaparayug. Suchitra was now all grown up. She had learned a lot of things about the ancient customs, she studied the vedas which she was very proud of. She learned how to use swords and also learned archery.

It took Suchitra a couple of years to get accustomed with the things in this era. But now, she actually felt as if she truly belonged here.

She spent lots of time in Vrindavan with her sakhis and Yashoda maiya. She also came to love the presence of her brothers which bothered her in the start. The only thing she was sad about was not being able meet her sakha Kanha in person. She knew about his responsibilities and hence didn't bother him to come to her place but they still exchanged letters with each other expressing how they missed the others.

Now, Hastinapur. Suchitra didn't go to Hastinapur after her first visit. Though, she continuously sent letters to the royal family in these years. After she returned from Hastinapur, the first letter she got from the Pandavas was also their last letter to her telling her all the things that happened- how Duryodhan tried to kill Bheem and that they have to go to gurukul for 12 years. She knew all these things were going to happen but she could do nothing.

Suchitra's pov:

I was in the training field practising archery when a dasi came " Pranipaat Rajkumari Suchitra! A letter from Dwarkadish has come for you" as she said that I immediately got off the field and took the scroll from her.

I went through the whole letter, it just had the normal stuff asking me how I was, how are the others. But then at the end he wrote

"Do not play with things that are destined to happen"

Did he mean that I should not try to change the things which are to happen to the main characters? I am sure he meant that. I was hesitant; I was planning to change Draupadi's fate if I got the chance but now he just tells me not to out of the blue! I sighed 'He knows what should be done so I should probably listen him' I thought.

I decided to go to my room since I had already practiced more than usual and was really tired. After reaching my room I was told that my bath is ready. I had asked a dasi to prepare my bath since after training I get really sweaty and smell bad.

After I came out of my long, relaxing bath I changed into my sleeping clothes and went to bed to take a nap. I was really tired because of the practice hence, it didn't take a long time to fall asleep.

Kaamini's pov(Suchitra's mother):

I was sitting in my room when a dasi came to inform something to me, I nodded as a signal to continue "Maharani ji! Maharaja asks for your presence in the private sabha along with Rajkumari Suchitra; both the Rajkumars, their wives, mahamantri and senapati are already present there with him he says he wants to discuss something important" She told me I nodded and dismissed her.

I made my way towards my priya daughter's room. When I entered, I found her  asleep. I shaked her lightly "Suchitra dear wake up" I said softly not wanting to startle her. But she just turned her head and continued to sleep.

I chuckled at her behaviour; it has been the same for the past years but never fails to amuse me. I sat down next to her caressed her head "Putri, wake up your father has called us said he wants to discuss something important" I tried to wake her up again. My attempt was once again futile, I sighed thinking of the only way to wake her up "Suchitra! A letter has arrived for you! it's from the Pandavas!!" I exclaimed and she was immediately out of the bed looking excitedly at me "Where is it maata?" She asked

I felt sad for lying to her but this was the only way. "There is no letter dear, I lied to wake you up. Your father has asked is to be present in the private sabha as soon as possible now go get ready" She deflated at my words and went away to get ready while grumbling under her breath. I chuckled and went towards the sabha.

Third person's pov:

Suchitra got ready and decided to go to the sabha. She looked absolutely regal. Her almond eyes were filled with kajal, her brown skin shined like diamonds. She wore a red saree and green blouse with intricate boder and designs which were carved with gold strings. She was covered with jewellery from head to toe. Her shiny black hair was half up, secured with one of the peacock feather hair clips her sakha sent with his letter. She had a sword tucked on the side. She smiled at everyone who greeted her on her way. Her smile still held the same mischief from years ago.

When she reached her destination, she first greeted everyone present there "Pranipaat" she said and her greetings were returned. She sat down next to her bhabhishree Swarna, wife of her bhrata Sachit. She smiled at her bhabhi and it was reciprocated. Her other bhabhishree Saadhana, wife of her bhrata Saatvik sat infront of her.

"Now that everyone is here I can finally tell you why I called you here" said maharaja Piyush and everyone turned their attention to him.

Suchitra's pov:

"We have received an invitation from Hastinapur to attend the welcome of the Kuru rajkumars who are returning from gurukul" When he said this I got excited, they were finally returning! "So I was wondering who should go to Hastinapur because as you know neither of the ministers nor Kaamini and I can go, so it leaves us with the three of you my children; which one of you would like to go?" pitashree asked turning towards me and bhratashrees.

Before either of my brothers could utter a word I spoke up "I would like to go pitashree! I have already been there once and the royal family knows me very well. They also requested me to visit them in rhe last letter they sent so it should be me who goes" hearing my words all of them exchanged amused looks and chuckled "Yes yes behena you only go. We are better here anyways" said bhtata Saatvik, chuckling, "What about you Sachit what do you say?" maata asked. I turned towards bhratashree and gave him a look which said 'Don't you dare take away this opportunity from me' He saw the look on my face and laughed "I am completely fine with my priya behena going maata" he said "So it is settled then Suchitra will be leaving tomorrow for Hastinapur early in the morning! Go now putri, and pack your stuff" pitashree said and I immediately got up, greeted everyone and ran out of the sabha. I could hear the loud laughter of my brothers but I simply did not care.

I had a lot of packing to do and that too in such less time. I called many dasis and asked them to help me. As I was packing I couldn't help but feel excited; I was going to meet the pandavas in a few days and that too after twelve long years.

' I hope you are ready for what comes towards you Pandav Kumaron! I won't be very easy on you, after all you never once thought of writing one small letter to me' I thought with a mischievous grin on my face and cackled mentally.
