"Run! They're catching up!" I started to chase the robbers down the mall as they shouted at each other to run faster. Mark was waiting at the other end of the mall and I was scaring them to where he was. Suddenly the taller,armed man grabbed a child that was playing with toys in the corner of the store. I gasp and freeze, pointing the gun at him. the two robbers were now both facing me. The other wasn't armed though.

The man snickered and cocked his head to the side.

"Aww, is wittle jackypoo scared? He better not shoot or wittle jackypoo's wittle fwiend will die."

He grinned evilly as my hands trembled. I was gonna tie that chance. I have never don't this before, but I have no choice. As I was pretending to put the gun down mark snuck up behind the unarmed man. I breathed in, picked up my gun and instantly fire for the armed man. He dropped the little girl and fell to the floor screaming in agony. As paramedics raced through the doors they tried to revive him, but to no avail. Mark has now shoved the unarmed robber to the ground, handcuffing him and whispering in his ear.

Me?

I was scared shitless. I was paralyzed in my own thoughts and fears. I have just shot someone! Mark slowly walks to where I am.

"Are you okay, jack? That seemed like it would traumatize you!"

He looked worriedly at me and I shook. Tears glided down my face, but I didn't stop them. I just cried. I stood there and cried in front of everyone. I saw the little girls mother pick her up and carry her quickly to the paramedics so they could check on her. She gave me a little wave and I smiled a small smile, tears still streaming down each cheek.

Mark stared at me and bit his lip, then he asked, "jack. Are you gonna be alright?"

I nodded and said, "y-yeah, I think I'll be fine, but-"

"JACK?!? JACK! GET UP!"

I looked at him questioningly and he kept shouting.

"JACK!"

I felt like I was being shaken wildly.

"Jack! JACK! WAKE UP!"

I sprang up and pushed my fist out where it hit a hard surface.

"OW! what the fuck?!"

I looked over with wide eyes and mark backed away from me. He was still holding onto my shoulders though.

"Oh my god mark! I'm so so SO sorry!"

He shrugged. "Its fine. But what's wrong?"

"Oh......... I-i had a nightmare and-"

He looked at me sadly. I just now noticed I was covered in water. It was from both my tears and sweat combined. Man I have never had this bad of a dream before!

"Jack. Was it about what happened yesterday? You need to forget about it. It was only self defence, and you saved another persons life! Don't forget that person was a child!"

I chuckled, wiping away a few of my tears.

"S-sorry. Its just.......... I have never hurt someone badly before. Let alone kill them! I just........ I just need time to.......get my mind off of it......"

"Hmm.......I wonder...."

I turned my head sideways, in a confused manner. He leaned in smirking. Out faces are now inches apart. "M-mark? What a-are you-

He put his finger on my lips.

" can I kiss you? Will that take it off your mind?"

I gulped. I have always liked him but damn! The way he asked me is just so sexy! I slowly moved his finger away from my lips. I leaned in on him as did he to me. Our lips connected. We slightly swayed and he sat himself beside me all the while kissing. We both held onto each others faces, foreheads touching.

"I love you jackaboy."

I giggled and hugged him. I felt his smile as he hugged back. Then he leaned to my ear, his breath giving me shivers. He whispered,

"Never forget that."
