~ Greetings - A Test? ~
Yuki's View
I pushed passed the academy doors, making my way to Iruka-sensei's classroom where my Jonin leader should be waiting for us. As I walked past kids and adults, I finally made it to the entrance of Iruka-sensei's classroom.
The door flew open, scaring the living daylights out of me. "Eeeek!"
"Eh, Yuki?!"
I rubbed my head from hitting it against the door, "K-Kiba?" I asked, swirls in my eyes. "My head hurts..."
I was then lifted off the ground, hearing someone, most likely Kiba, muttering 'crap' over and over again. I opened my eyes, wincing softly at the now numbing pain in my head, and looked up at my team who were staring down at me.
"E-Eh... Hi?" I giggled awkwardly, giving them a slight wave.
Kiba face palmed while Hinata smiled at me softly, twiddling with her fingers. Shino, well, he was being Shino.
"Really, Yuki? You were just hit in the face by a door I happened to be opening, and you don't do anything but say hi?" Kiba asked, twitching slightly. "Good thing me and Akamaru were ordered to watch over you... It seems like you need it."
I pouted, "That's nice." I muttered sarcastically, a small blush making its way to my cheeks. "...thanks, Kiba... for helping me."
He grinned ear to ear, "Hah, no problem, sweet cheeks!" He mused.
I blushed even darker and sat down beside Hinata, who was nervously staring down at her lap. Kiba walked over and sat to my right, while Shino took a sit beside him.
Hinata was always a shy girl, but she was a girl I liked and looked up to. I mean, she did come from the Hidden Leaves royal family; the Hyuga's. Really, I didn't like her because of the tag she had on her, I liked her for who she was; a sweet, loving girl.
"Hinata..." I asked, poking her jacket.
She jumped and stared at me with wide fear-filled eyes. "Y-Yes, Y-Yuki?" She asked, stuttering madly, pushing her index fingers together.
I smiled, but frowned inwardly at her stuttering and nervousness towards me. "Can I ask why you, um, how do I say this...? Why do you...stutter so much?" I asked quietly so the boys wouldn't be able to hear our conversation.
Hinata frowned, "I-It's okay, Y-Yuki. I-I do i-it because of b-being l-looked down on from m-my f-family... I-It's a h-habit now." She replied softly, frowning at my reaction.
I was glaring at her, well not intentionally at least. I didn't really enjoy the fact her family looked down upon her that much to make her stutter like this. I smiled widely suddenly, a thought entering my mind. I grabbed Hinata's hands softly and leaned close to her face.
She turned red, "Y-Yuki?" She asked.
"Ne, Hinata! I have a new goal." I announced, catching the attention of Kiba and Shino accidentally.
"W-What is i-it?" She asked, curiously.
"My new goal is to get your stuttering to a minimum of one stutter a sentence!" I exclaimed, a smile making its way to her lips. "Since we're your friends, your team, I really think you can do this."
"T-Thank y-you, Y-Yuki." She said, bowing her head a bit.
Just as I was about to say something, the door burst open, scaring the living daylights out of me.
"Stupid, teme!" Naruto scowled, stomping into the room with a large frown.
Hinata stared at Naruto in shock, her face burning red. "N-Naruto-kun..." She whispered.
Sasuke followed Naruto in along with Sakura by his side, except she looked down. Something must've happened between the three of them. That's not a good start for a team...
"Shut up, dobe." Sasuke hissed, glaring harshly at Naruto.
Kiba and I glanced at each other, a concerned look on our faces. Kiba and Shino scooted closer to us.
"What do you think happened between those three?" Kiba whispered, jabbing his thumb over at them in the next row.
I shrugged my shoulders lightly, glancing at Naruto who was arguing with Sasuke. "They didn't get along well during lunch break..." I stated.
Shino lifted his finger, a bug flying over to where the were seated. "I'll find out." He said.
"B-But isn't e-eavesdropping w-wrong?" Hinata asked, her eyes wide.
"It is, but don't you want to know what happened to Naruto?" I asked, raising an eyebrow, even though I knew she cared for Naruto deeply.
"Y-Yes..." She answered quietly.
"Well, you'll get your answers now, Hinata." Kiba said, pointing up at the little fly that landed back on Shino's finger.
Shino leaned closer to the little fly and stared at it intently. The bug seemed to buzz to communicate with Shino. He lifted his head up a bit and looked at all of us.
"It seems like Naruto failed at impersonating Sasuke." He stated, letting the bug go back inside his sweater.
"Impersonate?" I asked in unison with Kiba.
"I t-think Sh-Shino means t-that N-Naruto-kun t-tried a-acting like S-Sasuke..." She explained, clearing it up for me a bit.
My eyes widened in recognition and I nodded with a slight 'Oh', "I get it... Naruto used the clone jutsu, didn't he?" I mused.
"Most likely." Shino said.
"Tsk, Naruto is always getting in fights with Sasuke." Kiba stated, "Their rivalry is pretty strong..."
I sighed and leaned back, resting my head against the beck of the row. When was our sensei going to come and introduce themselves? It was already getting pretty late, two hours after the other academy students left with their sensei's
It was only our team and Naruto's left, pretty weird if you ask me. Well, I guess we have to wait and see where this whole thing goes...huh?
After thirty or so minutes, Kiba and I were beginning to get bored just talking about animals and nature. Shino and Hinata seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else to do more important things. I share the same feelings as them... I could be watering my plants or training in a secluded area right about now.
"Man, when is our sensei going to get here?!" Kiba whined, as I opened my mouth to reply.
"It takes time, idiot." Sasuke stated suddenly, causing all eyes to go on him.
I glared at Sasuke for insulting one of my closest friends, one of my teammates. "Shut up, Sasuke. Don't talk to my friend like that." I spat, shocking everyone now.
I wasn't that girl to really shoot back and defend herself. I was the one who cowered back in fear and needed someone to help her back up, but this time...it was different. I felt so angered he called Kiba an idiot. I just had to say that, even if I would get yelled at.
"Hn." He answered and turned away, glaring at the ground.
My eyes widened. He didn't even bother defending himself...?
Kiba grinned a wolfy grin and pat my back. "Thanks for helping me out there, Yuki." He said, Akamaru yapping with him.
I smiled, a small blush coating my cheeks. "No problem, Kiba..." I said, giggling nervously.
Then, just as Kiba could say anything further through his red face, the door opened and revealed a tall woman with black hair and red eyes.
"Team Eight?" She asked, glancing around the room, her eyes landing on us.
My teammates stood up right away, walking down towards the door.
"That's us." Kiba stated, grinning madly.
I hummed in response to Kiba's answer. The woman, I mean our sensei, looked at us with a straight face. "Come along." She said.
Kiba glanced back at Naruto and his team, smirking cockily. "See ya later, losers!" He chuckled, walking out the room, with Shino and Hinata behind him.
I giggled and glanced over at Sakura and Sasuke. "Bye, bye! Have fun with your teammates!" I sung, skipping out.
~*~
"So, you're Team Eight, yes?" She asked.
We all nodded. "Yeah." Kiba said.
"Okay then. My name is Kurenai Yūhi, I will be your Jonin leader from this point on. As of now, you're genin placed under my guidance, so we will need introductions." She explained.
"Do you want us to start now, sensei?" I asked.
She nodded, "The boy with the small puppy, please go first." She said.
Kiba introduced himself, mostly bragging about his skills and looks. I had giggled throughout the while thing. Shino was called to speak next. His talk or speech was very short and simple. It was what I expected...he was usually quiet after all. Then as Hinata went next, she merely told us facts about herself and things she liked. She did stutter a lot, but that would be fixed as we grow together.
"You, the girl in green, you're up." She said.
I smiled, "My name is Yuki Nara, I'm the younger twin of my brother, Shikamaru. I like to plant a bunch of things and watch them grow, I also like to spar, read, try playing Shogi, watch the clouds, collecting bugs with Shino, and hanging out with my friends." I said.
"I dislike bullies, or people that see teasing as a better option. My hobbies are keeping the earth safe and training my hardest. My dream..." I muttered, looking up. "Is to become one with the earth."
Kurenai-sensei's eyes widened at that, the others didn't know what I meant by such a thing. It was simple really...
She shook her head and faced us, "Well, now that our introductions are done. I want you all to head home and get some rest. Make sure you have energy for tomorrow, I want you all to be ready." She mused. "Meet at training ground number six tomorrow at six in the morning for your test."
"You are all dismissed."
