~ Beautiful Rose - Genin Test ~
Yuki's View
"Yuki, wake up. We have the Genin test today." Shika muttered, pushing me lightly.
I groaned and rolled to the side, covering my eyes with a pillow, "Give me a few more minutes, Shika... Please!" I begged.
He sighed, "Do you really want me to call Kiba over?" He said, his eyes burning my through my soul.
I shivered at the thought of Kiba waking me up. Who knows that little perverted mutt would do! I pushed the blankets off of myself, jumping out of bed with a big fake smile.
"N-No! I'll get ready, Shika! No need to call him over! I'll be ready in a few minutes." I exclaimed, sweat dropping a bit.
Shika smirked at my sudden change of mind, "Good, I'll be down stairs." He said, walking over to the door and exiting.
I sighed and glanced out the window. "I just wanted a few more seconds..." I muttered.
I walked to the bathroom and did my usual routine. It was a simple on really, just keeping myself in good condition for life. I changed into my usual ninja outfit, one that looked like my twin brother's.
Once I was finished with my preparation, I ran downstairs. "Yuki! We're going to be late if you take any longer!" Shika yelled. "Troublesome woman..."
I twitched as I jumped down the last flight of stairs to come face to face with him, "What was that, Shika?" I growled.
He glanced at me, "Troublesome woman." He said, walking out the door like nothing.
I stared at the door that shut with my mouth hung wide open, "Shika!" I screamed, running after him.
I ran out the door, completely forgetting about eating my breakfast our parents would leave me every morning. I came face to face with Kiba, Shika, Choji, and Shino. My cheeks turned red as their attention quickly was on me.
"O-Ohayo!" I stuttered, waving my hand at them.
They all laughed (besides Shino), and pat my head softly. I hung my head in embarrassment as we walked off to the academy without any further interruptions. I made some small talk with Kiba and Shino. I guess I did something to make them fight again like usual. Shika tells me that they have a reason they're fighting over me, but I have no clue at what he means.
I sighed and walked over to some flowers by the academy doors, there was a beautiful pink flower swaying along with the wind. However, it looked like it was slowly dying. A frown found it's way to my lips. I glanced around and placed my hands over the flower.
I muttered a few words. Done.
Opening my eyes which I closed, I saw the flower standing upright bright and new. It's life was fully restored. I tended to heal random flowers or anything related to nature when I had the chance. I just can't help seeing them die right before my very eyes.
"Yuki...?"
I spun around to see Kiba, "Yeah?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
He stuck his hand out for me, "I know you like healing things and stuff, but taking the Genin test is more important at the moment." He stated.
I grabbed his hand slightly shocked, "Wow, the Kiba Inuzuka, actually said something smart!" I teased him, as he pulled me upwards.
He blushed and let go of me hand right away. "Shut up, Yuki! I can say something smart when ever I want to, I just...never do." He lied.
I giggled and ran inside the academy, "I think we all know that's a lie!" I said.
I could hear him growl, "It's not!" He shouted.

"We are now about to commence the graduation test! When your name is called, proceed outside to the classroom next door. This year's test will be on the Clone Jutsu." Iruka-sensei announced, earning many quiet cheers of approval. "Well than, let's begin. First up is Kao Nigirko."
The boy whose name was called walked out of the room and headed to the classroom. I glanced at Naruto knowing that this was probably is worst jutsu. He would never become a Genin at this rate! I frowned at Naruto's aura. He was sad. I think he knew his fate at this point. I feel so bad for him...
Kiba elbowed my side, "Do you think you're going to pass?" He asked me.
I nodded, "I think so, the whole Clone Jutsu isn't hard for me to accomplish. So passing this should be pretty easy..." I answered truthfully, sparing a curious glance at him. "How do you feel about it?"
Kiba smirked cockily. Akamaru came barking out of his hood. "Me and Akamaru will have no problem passing this test. We've done the Clone Jutsu so many times we can do it with no hands." He bragged.
I giggled and rose an eyebrow at Akamaru, "Is that true, Akamaru?" I asked, petting his head.
Akamaru barked and hopped onto my head, nuzzling his nose into my hair. I smiled as he got comfortable.
I then looked at Kiba, leaning close to his face. "I highly doubt that you're able to perform Jutsu's without using your hands... only the strongest shinobi's are able to do that, mutt." I stated, poking his chest. "Not even the legendary sannin can do that..."
He frowned, "Okay, okay, I get it... Man, you didn't have to call me mutt." He said, crossing his, the red markings on his face showing where he got his cocky attitude from. "Apologize."
I ruffled his hair softly, "Sorry, Kiba. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." I apologized.
He grinned, "Now how about a kiss?" He asked, puckering his lips.
I laughed and pushed him back, "No thanks, I think my apology was enough." I said, chuckling under my breath.
Kiba was about to say something when my name was called out.
"Yuki Nara!"
I gave Kiba an apologetic look, "Sorry, I'll be back." I said, stepping down.
Kiba suddenly grabbed my hand, "I'll wait outside to congratulate you, okay?" He stated, grinning.
I hummed, "Alright!" I said, running to the classroom.
As I passed by, rude remarks from the girls were thrown at me like usual.
"Look at her run, she thinks she going to pass? As if!"
"The earth freak is probably going to drop out since she can't even act like a girl."
"She's a disgrace to the Ninja world! The bitch deserves to die!"
I ignored them and ran even faster before tears could start pouring out of my eyes. I pushed the door open and walked on silent. I stood in the middle of the class with Iruka-sensei and Mizuki-sensei looking at me.
"Alright, Yuki. All you need to do is perform the Clone Jutsu, more specifically, you need to make three clones to pass." Iruka-sensei explained. "You may begin."
I nodded solemnly, concentrating on making three replicas of myself next to me. I heard some sounds, telling me I did the Jutsu. Three perfect clones of myself were standing next to me with big grins. I smiled back at them.
"Great work, Yuki!" Iruka-sensei congratulated me. "Come up here to receive your headband."
I walked over to him and grabbed the blue headband out of his hands, skimming my eyes over my future. I can't believe I actually passed... I never thought it would be this simple to become an official shinobi of the Hidden Leaf.
"Thank you...sensei's." I thanked, walking out of the room with my head hung low.
I was suddenly grabbed by the shoulders and pulled into warmth. My eyes widened. "Shika..."
"Yuki... You do know after today we won't really be able to see others again? Once we each become a shinobi just like dad and mom, we have to go on our own paths." He explained, sadly. "I just want you to keep going down the path you've chosen, but don't let those troublesome women put you down. You're much better than they could ever be, and you know it."
I smiled, a lone tear escaping my right eye. "Thank you, Shikamaru. You really are the greatest twin brother I could ever ask for." I said, wrapping my arms around him.
He smiled at me, but still with those remarkable lazy eyes he managed to keep all day long. "I think someone is waiting for you though." He said, pushing me in front of Kiba. "Take care of her."
Looking back at my brother, I raised an eyebrow at him. What did he mean by that? Kiba nodded, "Don't worry, I will Shikamaru." He replied, with pure determination.
Kiba took my hand and showed me a headband, "I passed, and I'm guessing you did too." He said, looking at my headband.
"Oh, yeah. I passed, but how did you take the test?" I asked.
"Some other teacher came and helped finish up the tests, I guess it was taking too long." He said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Okay..." I mumbled, giving him a small smile, which faded immediately as soon as a girl passed by.
"Ugh, now look at her... such a whore!"
I clenched my teeth and shook in anger. 'Why is it always me... why?' I thought.
"What's wrong?" Kiba asked, oblivious to what the girl said.
I shook my head, my tears flying around as I did so. "I'm sorry, but... I have to go!" I said, running out of the academy, leaving my friend in the dust.
"Yuki!" He shouted.
I sobbed as I ran, those damn words running through my mind over and over again.
Whore... Earth freak.... Hah, she deserves to die!
I dropped to the ground on my knees, sobbing into my arms. "G-Gomenasai!"
My eyes began to shut on their own, I hiccupped and let myself fall. The only problem is that I never fell. I peeked my eye open, glancing at my hero.
"Yuki, what the hell?" Kiba asked, worry laced in his words. "Why did you run?"
I sobbed, "I'm nothing but a disgrace to this world, this village! I'm just...just a whore!" I cried out, throwing my arms around him.
Kiba sighed and hugged me back, running his hands up and down my back. "Don't believe those girls, Yuki. You know you're important to this village, this world... If you weren't here, where would your brother and friends be?" He questioned me.
"I d-d-don't know..." I whimpered, sniffling quietly. "I really don't know..."
"We wouldn't be here, if you've noticed you're the only thing keeping us going." He said, kissing my forehead. "We need you with us."
I smiled softly, clenching his sweater with my hand.
"Thank you, Kiba." I murmured, my eyes shutting slowly.
"No problem, just go ahead and sleep... You need it." He said.
