Third Person POV

Oobleck is shown to be listening intently as Port laughs over some unheard anecdote. Ozpin is standing off to the side with Glynda until Anubis Deka, the UYO (Understanding Your Opponents) teacher offers his hand for her to dance with him, which she gladly accepts. Jaune approaches Ruby, who is standing pensively near the refreshments tables.

Jaune: I see you're hiding at the punch bowl too.

Ruby: Yep.

Jaune: To the socially awkward.

Elise suddenly appears behind them.

Elise: C-Can I join in this?

She says clearly shy.

Ruby: Of course you can!

Ruby giggles and they clink glasses.

Ruby: So, things ended up working out with Pyrhha

Jaune: Yeah! She's amazing. I can say the same about you and Y/N.

Ruby: What do you mean?

Jaune: Well, come on you two are seen as the cutest couple next to us for the first years.

Jaune begins to drink his punch while Ruby blushes.

Ruby: We're...Not that cute...

Jaune chokes in surprise.

Jaune: Uh, what? You're kidding right?

(FLASHBACK TIME!)

Ruby is seen training with her scythe. Y/N then approaches her.

Y/N: You're doing it all wrong Rubes. Your stance makes you easily disarmable. Here, let me fix that.

He stands behind her and fixes her stance while Ruby blushes from her boyfriend touching her. Y/N then pecks her cheeks making Ruby cover her face with her cloak.

(FLASHBACK END!)

Jaune: And that's just one thing!

Ruby then takes notice of Elise, who's silently drinking her punch.

Ruby: Hey-

Elise flinches and chokes on her punch and coughs.

Elise: S-Sorry. I-I'm not the social type.

Ruby: Can I at least know your name and weapon?

Elise: I-I am Elise L-Lorwyn. I have t-this.

She pulls out a wooden cube. She presses a button on it and it turns into a bow.

Elise: This bow m-materializes arrows using my aura. I-It takes very l-little so I can fire up to a t-ten million arrows without healing my aura. I-It also turns into t-two daggers that have a g-grapple mode so I can climb on walls e-easier.

Ruby: That's cool!

Laughter draws Weiss' attention to Sun, Blake, and Neptune as the latter entertains the others with some impressions and other silly faces. Jaune, shown to be observing as well, becomes visibly perturbed.

Jaune: Hold my punch.

Jaune hands Ruby his glass and no sooner than he vanishes from sight does she choose to drink from his cup. As Jaune makes his way across the room, shoving other students aside, some of which were not even in his path. He stops short and watches as Pyrrha Nikos passes by. He watches her walk glumly up the stairs and seems to have a change of heart.
The scene shifts to Pyrrha on a balcony as Jaune approaches behind her.

Jaune: Hey, Pyrrha.

Pyrrha turns around to face him.

Pyrrha: Oh! I was looking for you Jaune.

Jaune: Oh, I-I'm sorry you couldn't find me. Well, you look really beautiful.

Pyrrha: Thank you.

She leans in and kisses Jaune. They release after a bit.

Jaune: (nervously tipping on his toes) Your, uh, fanboys aren't going to beat me up for doing that, are they?

Pyrhha giggles.

Pyrrha: I think you're safe for tonight.

Jaune: Hey Pyrhha...I wonder, what life like as you? Constantly being praised and all that.

Pyrhha smiles at her lover.

Pyrrha: I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise, but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people. That's what I like about you. When we met, you didn't even know my name. You treated me just like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with. Someone who just saw me for me, someone who I love, someone who's an incredible boyfriend.

Pyrrha looks at Jaune and then walks away while Jaune simply stares in astonishment.

Jaune: W-Wai-!

Jaune watches as Pyrrha turns a corner. Neptune has appeared on the balcony, gesturing toward Jaune.

Neptune: Hey, uh, Jaune, right?

Jaune: Yeah.

Neptune: This party's pretty lame, huh? I mean, ballroom dancing. Pfft.

Jaune: Yeah.

Jaune looks back out over the balcony.

Neptune: Cute girls, though, huh?

Jaune growls as he turns back to Neptune, gesturing towards the ladies at the dance.

Jaune: Is that all you think about?

Neptune: Huh?

Jaune: Do you even care about the girls you're hitting on? How they feel about you?

Neptune: Whoa! Where's this coming from?

Jaune: Listen Neptune, you seem like a great guy, but my mom taught me to never see a perosn as an object to release your hormones on.

Neptune: Listen man, I just t-

Jaune: What? You think that you're too cool, too many other options? So many girls asked you to the dance. What in the world could possibly keep you from go-

Neptune: I can't dance!

Jaune: Beg your pardon?

Neptune: I can't dance, man!

Jaune: But... you're so cool!

Neptune: Thank you. I try really, really hard.

Jaune: You would rather break a girl's heart and go to a dance alone than just admit to everyone that you can't move in rhythm to music?

Neptune: That about sums it up, yeah.

Jaune: Well, I certainly feel a lot better about myself.

Neptune: Please don't tell anybody. Look, if you want Weiss, she's all yours. I don't wanna get in your way.

Jaune turns back towards Neptune.

Jaune: I don't want her anymore. I'm with Pyrhha now and I'm really happy with that. But do you like her? Weiss I mean.

Neptune: Yeah, I mean I don't know her too well yet, but she seems pretty cool.

Jaune: Well, if you'll please look at the dance.

Neptune looks and sees Weiss and Amara dancing, when they finish the dance, Amara gives Weiss a peck on the lips.

Neptune: I had no idea she was a lesbian.

Jaune: I didn't either. But the next time you want a girl, no pickup lines, no suave moves, just be yourself.

Neptune considers Jaune's advice.

Neptune: Yeah, okay.

Jaune: There you go. Now, go talk to one of the girls that asked you out. It'll make her day

Neptune: Thanks. You're a really cool guy, Jaune.

Neptune approaches Jaune, holding his fist out for a bump.

Jaune: Alright, don't lie to my face.

The two of them bump fists and Neptune walks away.

The scene shifts to show Yang Xiao Long leaning on a handrail and overlooking the festivities from a second tier and leans on the rail.

Yang: You know? I think we really needed this.

Blake and Raviera are slow dancing while Ren and Nora appear to be Waltzing. Penny Polendina is shown to be dancing alone, guarded by two Atlas Soldiers. Amber is talking with Neo and Winona is dancing with Elise.

Ruby: Yeah, and you did a great job planning it too!

Yang: Aw, thanks!

She is crushing Ruby in a one-arm hug as she flails frantically.

Yang: It wasn't all me, though. Weiss did a lot too. Tomorrow it's back to work.

Ruby: I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us.

Music is suddenly heard. Nora grabs Ren and drags him out onto the dance floor with Pyrrha and Jaune. JNPR performs a short but elaborately choreographed dance, culminating in Jaune spinning Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: I had no idea you were a dancer.

Jaune: Yeah, well, these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters.

Jaune dips Pyrrha and then spins her away.

Amara and Weiss are shown to be watching the dancers.

Weiss: So, what's got you so concerned?

Amara: It's your father...I worry of what he'll think of me. AND that you're dating a girl.

Weiss holds Amara's hand tightly.

Weiss: Don't. No matter what he says or threatens me with, we'll be girlfriends forever. I assure you.

Amara smiles at Weiss.

Amara: Thanks snowflake.

They kiss as Jaune and Pyrrha continue to dance. Ren and Nora do a kind of disco dance, Yang and Blake join the mix and Penny and an Atlas guard are showing doing the "robot". Winona approaches Elise.

Winona: Hey Elise, why are you so shy all the time?

Elise: Well...When you live in a secluded town in the forest with a low population for most of your life, that happens. I have not had that many social interactions.

Winona: That's fine! You should just be yourself. I gotta go, Ozpin asked me for something.

Elise nods as Winona goes to Ozpin.

Winona: What is it proffesor?

Ozpin: Follow me.

Winona follows Ozpin into his office. There are three dead bodies of Mercury, Emerald and Cinder.

Winona: Let me guess, you want me to bring them back to life?

Ozpin: Yes but...Is there anyway you can turn them not evil?

Winona: To an extend, I can erase the memories of them ever doing anything bad. Now stand back!

She grabs her staff. Purple sparks and flames burst from it. She points the staff at the three bodies and fires, creating a purple puff of smoke. When the smoke clears, the three heads are now reattatched to their bodies and they wake up with no memory of ever doing anything bad, now they think that they are just regular students at Beacon.

Cinder: Oh my Oum the dance! Mercury! Emerald! We gotta go!

They run towards the elevator and go down.

Ozpin: Well, it worked.
