Chapter 25. Streets
I wasn't able to do anything, not even lift something light and simple. My training sessions with Sideswipe the other day asked a lot from my skinny and fragile body, so much that I didn't really feel good and fit. "You're in pain?" I looked up. It surprised me to see Sunstreaker after all the things he said and did. "I feel fine" He sat down beside me and looked at me. "Good." He got up. "Come with me." I slowly got up and walked after him towards the training room. "Fight me." I blinked. "Fight you?" I asked. "Wasn't that what you wanted?" He taunted. It or, but I am not fit enough to do it right now.
"Y-yeah... I just—"
Sunstreaker nearly hit me with his fist. "Fight me!" I want to impress him, but I can't in this state. After twenty minutes, I was wrecked. In my best effort, I tried to keep standing but my legs seemed to be made out of rubber. Sunstreaker crossed his arms. "Weak!"
"I can do better. I can proof—" Sunstreaker cut me off. "You just proved me you're weak, useless and that I was right. You're not made for combat and never will be either. I did this to make you understand it!" He snapped. "You're barely able to keep standing on those long skinny legs of yours!" He sneered.
"Why are you so mad at me? I don't understand why."
"I want you to understand that you can't fight." I stumbled and collapsed. "This is what I mean," he stated. I looked up. "We can't have that in battle," he stated. "Can't you give me a second change? I will show you I can do it and this time... I will not disappoint you," I stated. "Do me a favor and just drop the whole ordeal. You will spare us and yourself with so much trouble," he stated.
Sunstreaker turned around. "Wait." I hoisted myself up but Sunstreaker didn't wait for me. "I know you think I am weak but... aren't you my guardian? Aren't you supposed to help me?" I asked. Sunstreaker laughed coldly and turned. "I am, but it's also my job to tell you when you suck," he snapped. I stumbled over to him. "I really look up to you. I don't like this between us."
"Then just listen," he snapped and walked off. I sighed and left the base, heading back into the park to be on my own again. Despite my best effort, there was progress. I have the spirit to do it, but my body isn't cooperating. That's frustrating. I tried so hard to gain weight but without much success. It doesn't matter what I eat, it's like my body doesn't even consume it.

"Have you seen, Amethyst?"
My brother shook his head and didn't seem to care either. "Nah, why?" He asked. "She should be in her room by now hit she isn't," I stated. "I have trained with Amethyst but she really sucks. Maybe she's crying somewhere," he mocked. "I think we shouldn't be so hard on her. After all, she's our charge, she looks up to us and we are all she has. Sure, she shouldn't be trying in the state she's in but all she wants is to fit in and have a place in the world. Wasn't that what we wanted as well when we joined Prime?"
"The difference is that Amethyst sucks and we didn't."
"Please, Sunny, try to be nice to her."
"Why? Because we are right and she isn't?"
"This all is already hard enough for her, don't you see!"
Sunstreaker snorted and rolled his icy blue eyes. "Let's just drop this before we end up in a fight again," he sulked and unmuted the TV. "Yeah, you're right," I sulked and left our room to find Amethyst. I really started to worry by now. Even if she left the base, she should be back by now.
I did my round through town and found her eventually. It surprised me a little to see her wandering on the streets. I parked and hopped out. "Amethyst." The said femme perked her head up. "What are you doing here, darling?" I asked. She shrugged and turned fully. "Will this change anything? To be out here?" I asked. She shook her head. "Come on." I grasped her stone cold hand and brought her back to base. We watched a movie together after she showered but had fallen asleep halfway through.
Sunstreaker walked into her room. "You found her?" He mocked. I hummed while rubbing Amethyst's head. "Where was she?" He asked. "On the streets, on her own." Sunstreaker hummed again and walked over to us. He laid down on the other side of her as soon as he was ready for bed. Amethyst hadn't moved at all after she had fallen asleep, resting her head on my chest.
"Let's try to be a little bit more understanding, okay?"
My brother rolled his eyes but quietly agreed and shut the lights. "Sure." The next morning, I had to leave, but Sunny promised me to keep an eye on the femme. I hated days like this. Leaving while my brother was allowed to sleep for another three hours. Four O'clock is way too early and makes me grumpy. Especially now the temperature is dropping at night and I just want to get some proper sleep.
It's my own fault. I had some cheeky comments towards Optimus and Ironhide the other day and they weren't pleased to say at least. So, they assigned me to drive these horrible early patrols. I seriously hated days like these. I left my room after looking one more time at my brother and Amethyst. Sunny was already back in a deep slumber and Amethyst hadn't even noticed a damn thing. I softly shut the door behind me and headed towards the main hanger. Everyone was still asleep and I wanted to keep it that way for multiple reasons.
