Chapter 13. Gone
I was sitting in the cafeteria, having breakfast with the twins. Mirage still hadn't found the swords and I didn't know what to do. I glanced at the spy as he walked into the cafeteria and gave a small shook of his head. I gulped and laid my fork down. "Thyst, we are going to train after breakfast. You want to watch?" Sideswipe asked. I sighed and sat back, "they're gone." They gave me a confused look. "What is gone?" Sideswipe asked. "Your swords. They're gone, I can't find them anymore."
The twins exchanged a look. "How do you mean, you can't find them anymore?" Sunstreaker asked, his voice harsh. "I took them the other day... you two came back way earlier then I expected so I hid them and would return them when you two were having a meeting but the swords weren't there anymore when I came back. Mirage can't find them either. I am sorry."
There fell a silence and I didn't want to look at them but the energy changed. They were pissed. Both got up, "come." Without saying anything else, I followed them back to their room. Sunstreaker slammed the door shut behind me. "We told you, you can't use the swords for obvious reason and you didn't listen!" Sunstreaker snarled, glaring daggers at me. "We thought we could trust you," Sideswipe added, calmer then his twin but angered. "I wanted to try the moves you two did... I am sorry I took them."
"Why both of them?" Sideswipe asked. "One for me... the other for Mirage," I mumbled. "Oh, so Mirage is in this as well?!" Sunstreaker spat. "He told me it wasn't clever and I didn't listen. It's not his fault, it's my fault. He caught me— don't be mad at him. He tried to talk me out of it," I sulked. "You're not leaving this room... you stay here until we return," Sunstreaker spat. "I am sorry, twins." They ignored and left, slamming the door shut behind them. I sighed and sat down, burying my face in my hands for a moment.
I really screwed up and should have listened to Mirage when he told it was a stupid and wrong idea. All I wanted was to try it out myself and learn what they can do. They returned 20 minutes later with their swords. "I am really sorry..." Sideswipe shut the door more gentle this time so I assumed their anger had faded a little bit. "We are really disappointed you disobeyed us, Amethyst," Sunstreaker said. I slid off the bed, "I know... I am sorry for not listening," I mumbled. I gave them a hug and stepped back. "Go to your room, Sides and I are going to train," Sunstreaker stated. I nodded and walked over to the door. "Where did you find them?" I asked. "Ratchet gave them to us," Sideswipe said without looking.
"I am really sorry."
Both looked at me this time. "You can't just steal our weapons." Sunstreaker crossed his arms. "I didn't steal them... I borrowed them. I was planning to return them once I was done," I said. "You took them without asking and that's rude. If we want to borrow something from you, we ask." I gave a small nod. "I am sorry," I mumbled. "Just go to your room, I don't want you here for obvious reasons." I gave small nod, "I didn't take them to be disobeying or anything. I got excited to see you two fight and use the swords. I want to learn it too."
"We will teach you how to handle a sword, but not now. You're still recovering, you have broken ribs. You can make things worse," Sunstreaker said as he approached. "It just takes so long before it's healed," I grumbled. "If you take rest, it will heal sooner," Sideswipe stated. I was not amused and not convinced, but nodded anyway and left.
I couldn't sleep that night. I kept thinking about what happened. I don't like resting over a long time of period." I slid out of bed and dressed up, heading for the shooting range. It was around 11:30 PM I arrived in the shooting range and grabbed a few guns and rifles. I inspected them carefully, how to load and use them and wrote some things down in it before I took one and got up.
"If you spread your legs just a little bit, you have more grip on the ground and can fire more directly at your target." I looked before I wanted to shoot. Ironhide approached me and took the rifle from me, showing me. He handed me the rifle again and I did the exact same thing. I fired and hit the target. "Good."
I reloaded the rifle. "You had a fight with the twins?" He asked. "Yeah, for using their swords," I sulked. "I can't blame them... they're pissed and I get that. I hadn't ask if I could borrow their swords neither did I obey them. It excited me I saw them use the swords. That's all."
"You are just like them. "I remember them sneaking out of the ark to practice. They can't and won't be too angry. They're just worried you hurt yourself," Ironhide replied, shrugging. I fired again and hit the target once more. We tried some other guns and rifles so I got a feel of how different each one of them was. "Come back tomorrow at 11 AM. I have a class and if you want... you can join." A smile pulled on my lips. "That sounds perfect! I will be there," I stated excitedly.
I headed back to my room. The twins probably wouldn't like it if I join a class but I am not doing anything wrong. I don't perform strange or difficult moves, I stand still and in the mean time, I have the change to practice some shooting. I still wasn't sure what I am going to tell the twins, but I will figure something out.
