I rolled and fell to the floor, waking up from a beautiful dream,

"ooucchh" I said as I groggily sat up and rubbed the elbow that hit the wood,

My hair covered my face but I could see alittle through the strands,

why does it look so bright? What time is it?

I yawned as I reached up the bed to grab my phone, I blew air through my mouth, pushing away the hair blocking my view,

When I saw the time on my phone, all the fatigue left in me vanish, "what the fuck! Why is it so late? Why didn't you wake me up!" I said to the phone,

then I notice my alarm was snoozed to an hour, wait I did that, I thought that was a dream,

I scrambled off the floor into the bathroom, took a quick shower and ran downstairs, I'm going to be late if I don't hurry,

"Hey dad, good morning" I said running down the stairs

"Morning hone- wow, what's the hurry, aren't you gonna eat breakfast"

"No dad, I can't, I'm gonna be late" I said as I grabbed an apple, pecked him on the cheek and ran past him

He looked at the clock "late? It's jus-Jesus! it was just 6:00 five minutes ago, how on earth is it 7:35" he scrabbled up, leaving he's breakfast

I chuckled "Bye dad, see you later" I shouted at the door

  "okay, bye honey" he said, rushing up the stairs, probably to get his things

I got to school just in the time,

  when I got to my locker, as usual, I expected both Raven and Sonny to be there,  but I only saw Raven...

what's wrong, where's sonny?

"Hey Ray, whats up, where's Sonny" I sometimes call her Ray, I think it's cool

"Amies morning, I just called her, her mom picked up, she said Sonny's Ill, apparently, it started yesterday"

"What?!!, I didnt know that, she never tells me anything."

"That makes two of us"

"Maybe after school we should go see her"

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing" she reached into her bag searching for something

"what are you looking for?" I asked

"ah, found them" she said handing me some mints  "you forgot to brush again"

My eye widened in realization, that's true, I took the mints and quickly popped them in my mouth and whispered "thanks, I love you"

She rolled her eyes "I told you there is a flaw in your 'dress before you brush' system, you always forget"

"that's not true, I only forget like four times a year, plus, today doesn't count, I was running late" I defended

She rolled her eyes "that's your excuse everytime, you are lucky I always save mints for you just incase"

I chuckled "awn I love you too, here, have a 'thank you' gift" I breathed into her face

She laughed and pushed my face away "ew, suck harder" she said, and we ended up laughing together,

I was about to say something to her when I saw Parker walking towards us.

Holy shit, is this guy crazy!

what in I don't want drama and no we can't be friends doesn't he understand. I thought I was as straightforward as humanly possible or did I only say all that to him in my head?

Nope, I'm pretty sure I told hi-

"Hey Amies, good morning" Parker said

I could see Raven was shocked, she was popular but she had only spoken to Drew Parker a few times

I sighed "Parker I told you to stop calling me that, we aren't friends"

He smiled "yes we are" "Raven right?" he said turning to Raven "morning"

"G-good morning" she said as she rose an eyebrow at me, silently asking me 'what is happening'

  I sighed and shook my head in response, which silently meant 'I don't know, just ignore him, I'm sure he'll leave soon'

"From now on we're going to be friends, is that cool?" Parker continued

"Yeah, sure, why not" she said while giving me a questioning look. I shrugged in response

"Where's erm your other friend... Sonny"

"She's not here, what do you want Parker? " I said before Ravan could reply and give extra information, for all I know this crazy guy could offer to visit her with us and knowing Ravan she'd probably say yes,

"Why are you calling me by my last name, we're friends Amies call me Drew"  is it me or does he look a little bit hurt, not that I care,

"No Parker, we aren't friends so ple-"

"So Ravan, you have geometry right?, so do I" he ignored me

"Yeah I do, so does Amy,"

" Cool we all have the same class first"

What the fuck, why isn't he listening to me, this guy is getting on my nerves.

And why is Ravan talking to him like they've been friends since forever

"Thats great, do you mind if Ben and I sit with you guys"

"Sure why not"

"Cool, save us sits, I'll go tell ben. See you in class" he said before walking away,

I was staring at Ravan who was smiling at me like she didn't just do that.

What the fuck just happened?!

"Raven, tell me that whole conversation was just my imagination and only you and I are sitting together"

"Sorry Amies, I cant lie to you. Plus he wants to be friends, why would you possibly say no to that"

"Because he is a Narcissistic guy who only does what wants and doesn't care what others feel about it" I said cruching the mints in my mouth

Raven gave me a look "seriously Amies, just because he wants to be friends he's narcissistic?, common!, And I thought you said he was a pompous arrogant cunt before,  what changed?"

"Yeah... well... he probably still is"

Raven rolled her eyes "oh please, common lets go to class"

         ******************

During geometry class

"I can't believe you're actually kept sits for them" I whispered to Raven who was sitting at my right and Drew at my left while Ben sat at her right,

"Well I said I would, what did you expect me to do" she whispered back

"I don't know, maybe not keep the sit so other people would sit there, then when they come, tell them you forgot" I whispered

"How could I possibly say I forgot when he asked me to, less than two minutes ago! common Amies" she whisper-yelled

"Well if yo-"

"Miss Monroe and Miss Adeniyi, do you have something you'd like to share with the class?" the teacher asked

"No mam" we said in unison

"Good, then keep quiet"

Parker chuckled causing me to glare at him.

As the class went on, it was clear that Drew and I weren't getting along, Raven and Ben on the other hand, seemed to be getting along just fine, They kept smiling and whispering to each other, wish pissed me off, because I was stuck with Parker.

After the class ended, Raven and I also had the next two classes together I later had a one with Ben and another with Parker although sonny was supposed to take that class with me but...

When it was time for lunch, Raven and I sat together on our usual table,  all of a sudden, out of nowhere, Parker sat next to me and Ben to Raven.

   Is this guy trying to annoy me on purpose? because he is, I could already feel different eye staring at us.

     I  took a minute to breath so I could remain calm as I spoke "Parker what have I done to deserve this?, infact I don't care what it is, I'm sorry. Please just go"

"What do you mean?" he looked confused

Raven and Ben chuckled, I didn't know what was funny about what I said, cus I was being serious.

who knows, maybe I offended him and this is his way of getting back at me.

"Relax Amy, we just want to be friend" Ben said

"Why!, we've been together in this school for more than two years, why do you want to be friends now, expecially when it's our last year here"

"Eerm... I think Drew would like to answer that" Ben said looking at Parker.

They were now communicating with their eyes, Drew would sometimes widen is eyes while Ben squinted his, then they would sometimes give the questioning look together.

I was growing impatient, did they think I couldn't see them.

"Well?!!, is anyone going to answer me!!"

"Oh erm... I just thought it would be cool if we were friends" Drew said

Be cool?, I sighed, why me.

I started feeling like I was being glared at and not so surprisingly, it was Jane and her plastic minions.

I thought of flipping her the bird but I just brushed them off instead, I was too tired and frustrated to do so.

After school I texted my dad that I might be home late

Me: Hey dad, its me, Sonny is alittle ill, so Raven and I are going to visit her so I may be a little late, but don't worry I'll try my best to be home for dinner.

Dad: ok honey take care and say hi to her for me, How does spaghetti for dinner sound

Me: sounds awesome dad, thanks. See you later, xoxo.

My dad is cool so he and I are really close. After mom died he made it his lifes goal to have the best father-daughter relationship where respect still remained.

Raven and I got to Sonny's house thirty minutes later..

Ding - dong, we rang the doorbell, about 30 seconds later an older version of Sonny opened the door, it was her mom

"Oh my God, girls its so nice of you to visit, come in...Sonny didnt tell me you were coming"

"Good day mrs Darsee, sorry for the intrusion, we didnt tell Sonny we were coming. ...we just heard she was sick so we wanted to say hi"

"Oh no, no problem, thats sweet of you girls, she has good friends" "common let me take you both to her room"

When we got to her room mrs darsee told us to enter and that she would be in the kitchen if we needed anything.

Raven knocked on the door "Sonny It's raven and amy, can we come in"

"Come in" she sounded weak

When we entered I saw Sonny lying down. She was pale but she was still smiling like the sun, it was obvious she was hiding her pain.

"Hey guys"

"Oh my God sonny you look so pale" Ravan shouted, running to hug her

She smiled "dont worry, im fine"

Unlike Raven I didn't know how to keep what was on my mind, expecially when it was about my friends, so I decided to go straight to the point

"Sonny are we your friends?" I asked,  causing both Sonny and Ravan to look at me shocked

"Ofcus yes, why" she asked

"Well you never tell us when something is wrong, you always cover everything with a smile, even now your doing it"

Raven looked at her "it's true Sonny, we feel like you don't trust us"

Sonny smiled again and yes a fake smile "I'm sorry girls, I don't feel that way, I didn't mean to hurt you guys, I just didn't want you both to worry"

   We are your friends we are supposed to worry, I said to myself

I sighed, "ok. Just know you can tell us anything"

..may be this is nothing and I'm just thinking too much .

"Speaking of telling anything, you'll never believe what happened in school today" Ravan said

I rolled my eyes, clasic Ravan

"What, what happened"

Then Ravan told her all that happened in school

"Oh my gosh, are you serious. Why is it the day I'm sick something like that happens" Sonny pouted

"I told you he likes you" she look at me

"I know right" Ravan agreed with her

"Common girl I thought we've moved passed this, he doesn't like me, This is probably some kind of pay back or prank"

"Please, you wouldn't know if someone liked you, even if he walked up to you and says.. hey I like you.."they both laughed.

  For someone sick you sure seem to have a mouth

"Haha Sonny, very funny" I said boredly

After an hour of talking, we left Sonny's house and went our different ways.

"Hey dad, I'm home" I yelled at the door

"honey, I'm in the kitchen" he yelled back

I dropped my bag by the door and went to the kitchen

"Hey honey, how was school" he asked,

So I told him about Drew and how he was frustrating me,  what?, dont judge me, my dad and I are pretty close and its not like I have any brother or sister to talk to.

He laughed "honey maybe he just wants to be friends, he sounds nice"

Ok, I may have skipped some part of him and some of the rumors I've heard, Don't blame me, we might be close but I'm not stupid enough to tell him all that. Im his only child, his pride and joy. imagine how he would OVERreact if he knew who Drew Parker was.

"Trust me dad, he's not".

We later had dinner, Then I went to my room, picked up my phone and created a new playlist of my best Nigerian musicians like: Simi, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Dbanj, and Banky W.

After an hour of listening to music and playing games on my phone, I fell asleep.

😫 omg, I'm soo tired, people who write books are now officially my heroes. Its not easy to write a conversation between 3 or more people. {edit: it's not that hard, I was just really lazy at the time🙄}

But on the bright side, 😆new longest chapter! (edit: after editing some of the privous chapters, you are no longer the longest 🙄)  Ok, I can't keep announcing everytime I write a long chapter😧.

Anyways, hope this chapter wasn't boring or too long.
