Sundays are usually quiet and peaceful at home.

Dad's home and I'm home, so if I don't have homework and him extra work, we spend the afternoon together.

But mornings are mine, I spend it sleeping or entertaining myself if I'm up,

   "I love it when they try to get intimate, even when they know I ain't into it, you not into it, I'm not into it-"

I am currently in the shower blasting music through my Bluetooth speaker, singing my ass out, wasting water and most importantly, dancing like a fool,

"You think that you so hot, and you say you gat skills in the bedroom, something something something, had a chance you still never came through-" 

the song I am heartlessly destroying is 'long way to go' by Cassie, but I don't care about lyrics right now, cause I'm in a real good mood,

I was finally able to convince dad into reducing my prison sentence to three days, including today, I tried to plead a day, but he said I would have to give up my phone, and suddenly three days seemed like a blink of an eye,

  I came out of the shower, wore my undies and a white singlet, I was about to dry my hair when my jam started playing,

"aaaay! My jam!!," I screamed

"-smack it, smack it in the air, Smack it, smack it in the air
Legs movin' side to side, smack it, smack it in the air, Wave your hands side to side, put it in the air, Clap, clap, clap like you don't care, Smack that, clap, clap, clap like you don't care, I know you care-"

  I continued to sing and dance, following the instructions in the song, kicking everything in my path,

Then my favorite part came up, so I sang louder, spinning along,

"-Foot up, my foot up, Hold up now my foot up, I'm spinnin' my foot up
Foot up yeah my foot up, Put my foot down, yeah my hands up, My hands up, I'm spinnin' all my hands up, Spinnin' while my hands up, Spinn-  Oouch!!" I cried in pain as I fell to the ground, making a loud thud sound,

"ouw, ouw, ouucchh fuck!!" I rolled side to side, holding my foot,

  "Amy are you alright?" I heard dad yell from behind the door,

  "yeah, I'm fine, I just hit my toe!!" I yelled over the loud music

"okay, take it easy, and reduce the volume, it's too loud!!" he yelled

  "got it!!" I replied,

I glared at my phone and crawled to it with so much annoyance, changed the stupid song, yes, stupid!, then removed it from favorite playlist.

  "serves you right for hurting my poor pinky toe" I said, then flipped the phone back on the bed,

I sighed and laid flat on the floor, listening to the beautiful lyrics of Elvis's 'can't help falling in love with you',

As much as I wanted to deny and Ignore it, I think I... l-like Drew.

Like, really like him.

I touched my lips as the memory of our first kiss came to mind, causing me to smile..

Oh God, what am I going to do?

Plus, he already like someone else, I rolled to my side in thought.

wait, even if he didn't like someone else, what was I going to do about it?,

I rolled on my back again, facing the ceiling,

I mean, he doesn't even like me like that, I could see how uncomfortable he was yesterday because of my stupid drunk err... Action. I would be uncomfortable too if I were him, and someone I considered a friend, if not family, suddenly kiss me and says all those weird stuff to me.

I sighed, and placed my arm over my head

"what do I do?" I thought out loud,

I let my thoughts wonder, when suddenly the dumbest thing came to mind.

I sat up in a jerk, No, I am definitely not going to confess!, I shook my head furiously, trying to push away the thought,

I sighed again.

I can't do this, I need professional opinions,

I laid back down, and cringed, thinking of how to save my ears from the squeals when I tell Sonny and Raven about this turmoil.

     **

"Common Amy, you can do this, she's not even here, she's far far away, she can't hurt you",  I said to myself.

I was in my room standing next to the bed,

"yeah, that's right, she can't hurt me, after all, if she squeals too loud I can always end the call" I continued

my thumb soared above the little green box on my phone screen, but just before I tapped it, a string of doubt caused me to waver,

I started to pace back and forth, 

"why is this so hard!, just like we- I mean, I practiced, all I need to say is; hey, Sonny, I like Drew, what should I do, that's it, no biggie"

  I stopped pacing and took a deep breath, "alright, here goes nothing" and with the slightest tap the call went through.

  I murmured trying to calm myself "Jack Sparrow is bae, Johnny Deep is boo, Jack Sparrow is bae, Johnn Deep is b-"

  "kon'nichiwa!!" Sonny said in her ever so bright manner,

  "hey Sonny!" I said, surprised at how fast she answered

"hi you!, so, you are not going to believe this but I think I have superpowers" she said

  I chuckled "why?"

"okay, so the other day, I was about to text Raven on whatsapp, when all of a sudden she texted hi, and now, I was just thinking of you and you called. Boom! Superpowers!!"

  I shook my head smiling and sat at the top of my bed "Sonny you do know that when you're typing a message to someone on whatsapp, they see it"

  "yes I know that, but that was different, it's my power"

  "oh please, weren't you already typing when she sent the text?"

 she kept quiet for a while, and then spoke "okay fine, maybe I was, bu-"

"ha! She probably saw it, and decided to say hi"

  "alright fine, what about you calling now uh?, su.per.po.wers!" she said

  "pure coincidence"

"hater" I heard her murmur, causing me to chuckle,

I had completely forgotten about why I called until she asked "why did you call me?, we usually facetime"

  "oh!" Goddammit, I really want to chicken out,

maybe we should go back to talking about superpowers,

"hold on, I'll facetime you" she said

  "no, lets just talking like this, I want to tell you something" I said in a rush

  "oh what?"

"I kind of need your advice on something.."

  "common, tell me, what is it?"

"it's a secret, you have to promise not to tell anyone, Not even Raven... yet, until I tell her myself" I grabbed the pillow next to me and hugged it,

   "wait, it's not a bad thing right, why don't you want to tell Raven yet?"

  "because you are far away and I can't see your face, so it easier to tell you first" 

not to mention I can always end the call whenever I want.
I thought to myself.

"and no, it's not exactly a bad thing, Or maybe it is, look, I don't know, that's why I need advise"

  "Okay, tell me, tell me, tell me, I'm getting so excited" I could feel her jumping

  I rested my head on the pillow "I.. I, arrh no, I don't think I can say it, Never mind"

this would be my first time saying it out to someone, admitting it.

I can't, I'll just deal with it myself,

  "Amy Honey Monroe!," She said in a serious tone

I chuckled slightly at my adopted middle name, they always joked saying 'Honey' was my middle name, 'cause that's what my dad calls me all the time.

"No, you are not going to get me all excited only to chicken out, again, like you always do" she said

  "erm, no I don't. Remember that one time whe-"

  "Girl don't even try to change the subject, Say what you were going to tell me" she cut in before I could finish my sentence,

Goddammit, she caught me, I bit my lower lip, let's just tell her and get over it,

  "Common Amies, do I need to beg?, pleas-"

  "IvihkeDveevw" It came out in a muffled sound, because I covered my mouth with the pillow

"eh? what?" she asked confused,

I took a deep breath, lifting my head off the pillow a bit

"I. Think. I. Like. Drew, like, really like him, you know, in a nonfriend kind of way, you know," I bit my lip and squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for her response,

Okay, I did it, now I just need to ask for her advice,

  Some seconds past, still no response, I opened my eyes, and looked at the phone, to check if she was still there,

The call is still on, why isn't she talking?

"Hello" I said quietly

  "hello??" I said a little louder, still nothing,

"hell-"

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-"

*Beep*

Y

ep, I ended the call.

"Oh my God" I said out loud and covered my head with the pillow, feeling a bit embarrassed

She immediately called back, I debated whether to answer, but finally did,

"hello" I said in a hush tone

"OOOH MY GOOOOSSHHHH!!!!!" she screamed into my ear,  I covered the phone with my hand, mistaking it for her mouth

  "OOOOHHH MYY GOOO-"

"stop! Shut up, people will think you're crazy!" I said, but she continued

"YES!, FINALLY!!, OH MY GOODNESS!, YEE-"

I ended the call again.

I could feel the heat creeping up, so I used my hand to fan my face.

  She call three more times after that,  I didn't answer, after the third call,  it was clear she was going to keep calling until I answered, so I blocked her number from calling me.

   Less than five minutes after blocking her calls, my phone was bombarded with messages

  Without looking at the phone, I knew all the messages were from Sonny,

I sighed and picked up the phone, I had twenty new messages from her on whatsapp and she was still typing, so I started to read

Sonny: I know you blocked me, but I'm too happy to be mad right now🎊🎉🎉🎊" 2:12pm

Sonny: "Finally!!, yeeeeesss🎉💃💃"  2:13pm

Sonny: "yyeeeeeesssss🏃🏃🤸🏇"  2:13 pm

Sonny: thank you God, yes!! 🎆🕺💃"  2:13 pm

Sonny: I'm so happy right now I'm crying 😀😃😄😭😭" 2:14 pm

Sonny: I wish I was there to hug u 😭" 2:14 pm

Sonny: since when did u start liking him? 😍" 2:14 pm

Sonny: ???" 2:16 pm

Sonny: "bitch answer me before I call Raven😐" 2:18 pm

Sonny: "sorry, don't mind me, I'm just so exited♥️" 2:18 pm

Sonny: say something!!" 2:20 pm

Sonny:💃🕺happy dance💃"  2:20 pm

Sonny: ok seriously, say something or Raven will get a call in less than a minute😐" 2:21 pm

Sonny: ok ok, sorry, I'm just messing with u, don't be shy,😍😋" 2:21 pm

Sonny: oh common!, are you seriously going to ignore me!" 2:22 pm

  She sent some more texts which were basically the same as the rest, her telling me how happy she was or threatening me,

I ignored her messages until she sent me a screen shot of her dialing Raven's number,

So I texted as quickly as possible,

Me: ok ok, fine I'm here😒"  2:39 pm

Sonny: took you long enough 😏, so do you want to talk about it now?" 2:40 pm

I thought about it for a while, then typed,

Me: Yes.. No.. I don't know, I'm just so confused 🤦, I don't know why I'm like this" 2:43 pm

  She replied immediately,

Sonny: ok, how about this, let's wait until you tell Raven, so three of us can talk about it together," 2:43 pm

Sonny: ??" 2:44 pm

I smiled, she knows I'm not ready to talk about it yet, I love my best friends so much, even though they can be bitches sometimes, they always understand me,

Me: sure, that sounds great🙂" 2:45 pm

I was about to type 'I love you' when she sent another message

Sonny: but don't take forever, cus I might just call her myself 😏, ...chicken 🐔 "

  Bitch.

It's been an hour since I spoke to Sonny, and I haven't left my room ever since, I spent the whole time think about tomorrow, about school and Drew, I don't know how I'm going to handle everything, I mean, my attitude yesterday was pretty much whack, I need to get my poka face on,

I was thinking of how to act when my stomach growled, notifying me that I am hungry,

I headed downstairs, towards the kitchen, on getting there, I heard dad talking on the phone in the parlour,

"what! But that is tomorrow!" I heard him say,

I went to him, to see what the ruckus was about,

He pressed the bridge of his nose "this wasn't on my schedule, I wasn't informed" he paused to listen to the person on the other end

  "okay, call me secretary Kim, tell him to see me first thing tomorrow morning, he will explain why I wasn't informed of such an important meeting, his job very well depends on it" he said angrily,

"yes, yes, good" he paused,

"very good, send me the details, and get the directors of those three departments to see me before nine o'clock tomorrow morning" he ended the call,

  "Idiots!" he said in frustration,

"dad is everything okay?" I asked

He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "No honey, it's not, apparently, there is a big meeting happening tomorrow morning with the CEO of the company and my very competent secretary who was told, once again forgot to inform me, not to mention the three director who tho- uurrghh, I am so pissed right now" he pulled at his hair,

With his eyes closed, he took a deep breath and spoke again "Amy honey, can you please get me my wallet and keys, I need to get some things to prepare for the meeting"

  "yeah, sure" I turned to get his wallet that was probably upstairs in his room.

  Things like this happen sometimes, people at work pissing dad off or making mistakes that could cost him his job.

Dad is pretty high up there in the company hierarchy but he never takes is job for granted, and if the CEO is going to a meeting, then the meeting must be very important, you see the CEO is a very busy person, She almost never attends any meeting physically, so it is clear this is a big deal.

I grabbed his wallet and keys then hurried back down,

  I saw him putting on his jacket by the door,

"here" I handed them over,

"thanks honey, I'll be back in an hour or so"

"okay, bye."

After he left the house, I went back into the kitchen, thinking of what to eat, settling with some leftover spaghetti, I dished it in a plate and put it in the microwave.

Less than ten minutes after I started eating, I heard the doorbell ring,

  Who could that be?, did dad forget his phone or something?

I carried my food with me as I checked who it was,

  The bell rang again, 

"Coming!" I said, with spaghetti in my mouth

   I opened the door with my left hand and held the plate with my right,

  when I saw the brothers, my eyes widened in shock and just like that, I choked on my half chewed spaghetti.

I gulped down the water Drew handed to me, thankful he was able to save me from choking to death. All the coughing made my chest hurt,

I was sitting on one of the kitchen chairs, with the two boys standing in front of me.

"are you alright?" Drew asked

When I was sure I was out of deaths way, I spoke "what the fuck are you guys doing here?"

Nathan chuckled "really? That's the first thing you're gonna say?, no thank you for saving my life?"

  I mumbled "why would I thank the people who put me in deaths way to begin with"

He chuckled again, "true, sorry. "

I took a deep breath, daring to look at Drew for the first time since they got here "w-what are you guys doing here, you know I'm grounded"

He shrugged "hey, I didn't want to come, it was his idea, I told him but he wouldn't listen" he said point at Nathan

  "yeah, it was my idea, I was bored, where is your dad anyways?" Nathan spoke,

  I turned to him "he went out for a bit, work".

I glanced at Drew for a second before looking away

"you didn't want to come?" my voice showed more emotion than I wanted it to,

  "yeah, I mean, no, well, you're grounded and I didn't want to get you in more trouble"

  "oh, okay" I fell quiet,

Nathan looked between us suspiciously, and for a second or two the edge of his lips tugged upwards, giving him a sinister smile, but it left almost as fast as it came, making me doubt my eyes,

I openly gave him a puzzled look, what was that about?

"So when is your dad going to be back?" He asked again,

"I don't know, Maybe an hour or two" I guessed

He clapped his hands together, "okay! Lets have some fun before you dad gets back"

"What do you mean you went through hell, I was the one who had to listen to mom and dad explain how sperm enters the ovaries and makes babies" Nathan said,

We all burst into laughter,

"And I was just a kid, so I stupidly asked how the sperm got to the ovaries that was supposedly inside mom's body"

"Oh my gosh" I laughed so hard I felt tears gathering in my eyes.

We went on to talk about other things and I realized just how funny Nathan actually was,

Dad texted saying he would stay a little longer at the office, 'cause he need to prepare some things.

  "I'm getting bored, what else can we talk about or do?" Nathan said

  Drew sighed "Nate we should get going, her dad will probably soon be back"

He rolled his eyes "hey, can we see your photo album?" He asked me

"yeah sure, I just need to find it" I got up from where I was sitting, and walked to my book shelf, hoping to fine my album,

"Oh, here it is" I picked out the album,

I chuckled thinking of some of the embarrassing pictures in there, "guys trust me, when you see some of the stuff in here, you'll laugh your as-" 

I was interrupted by Nathan's phone ringing,

"Hello?" He answered

"For real!, no way!!, I'm on my way" he ended the call and got up in a hurry,

"Drew, Amy, I have to go, I just got the best news ever" he said smiling

  Wait what!!, He wants to leave me alone with Drew!

  I was so tempted to grab his leg and stop him from leaving,

I awkwardly looked at Drew, his eyes were about to pop out of their sockets,

He grabbed Nathan's shirt "don't leave m-" he stopped whispering Midway when he saw me staring at him, then he let go,

Nathan dusted off the invisible dirt Drew put on his shirt and smiled "sorry bro" he said,

Then he turned to me "you guys should have fun, sorry, but my girlfriend is in town, bye"

  With that he ran off before Drew or I could grab him by the leg.

     With Nathan gone we were left with a very awkward silence, I was so tempted to say 'i'm sure you have to get going too' or 'you should get going', I mean, I don't want him to think I'm pushing him out 'cause we are alone, or 'cause his brother isn't with us I feel awkward,

That would mean I remember what happened that night, wish I don't!, But that's what he'll think, because normal Amy wouldn't feel awkward, she would happily have fun with her friend Drew and not make a big deal out of being alone with him.

I took a deep breath, that's right Amy, this isn't a big deal, you've been alone with him in your room serval times, this is nothing new, you can do it.

  I cleared my throat, and sat next to him, but left a reasonable distance "so... this is my album" I placed it next to him,

   He picked it up "Wow, it's really big"

Okay Amy, this is not that bad, we can keep going,

"Yeah, it has all my pictures, for when I was a baby till last year, I even need a new album, I only have space for two more pictures left here"

  He nodded in response and flipped the cover, "I should probably leave after we're done with this, before your dad gets back"

  I smiled internally, not wanting him to know how happy I was,

"yeah" I responded, keeping a neutral face.

   After a while, things were starting to go back to normal between us, if you count out me avoiding his touch so my heart doesn't explode, then yes, normal,

  We laughed as I told him stories that happened before and after some of the pictures.

  "Wow, you look so pretty" he said smiling, looking at a picture from three years ago,

  I snorted "ha!, I don't think so, this was the time I was bullied for being too chubby"

  His smile didn't leave his face, and neither did his eyes leave the picture, "like I told you before, those guys where assholes. I think you look cute, and very pretty,"

he touched the photo "I like the way your eyes are sparkling and how you're smiling with you teeth out, see how soft your cheeks look, like that of a baby's, I wish I could pinch them. I'm so tempted to steal this picture"

  *Badump*

why is this room getting so hot?, why is he saying stupid things?

"Ha-haha" I laughed awkwardly and flipped the page, "let's look at something else".

   When we were done I went to grab my phone so I could see him off,

"Okay Drew, you sho-" I paused,

He too paused, looking between me and the picture in his hand,

  "Erm.. what you doing?" I asked suspiciously,

  "Nothing, definitely not stealing that picture" he said in a not so convincing manner,

There was a second of silence between us, and then he rushed to keep the picture in his pocket,

"Drew no!" I ran to him, trying to stop him,

He laughed and jerked back, "why?, It's so pretty"

"That's what you think" I gained on him and tried to reach into his pocket but he pulled it out before I could,

He stretched his hand up and looked at the picture again, "nope, I'm pretty sure anyone with good eyes would agree with me"

Even though the hight difference between Drew and I wasn't that much, he was still taller than me, and the thought of having to stretch or jump to get that photo was.. urgh,

So I kicked his leg and pushed him down, causing him to fall, "ouch" he said

I bent over and picked up the picture,"like I said, that's what YOU thi-"

He pulled me down by my waist before I could stand up straight, then flipped us over, basically pinning me,

It happened so fast, I was still in a daze when he took the picture from me, "I don't agree" he said,

When I snapped out of it, I reached out to get the picture back, "Drew giv-" but then I realized how close we were, and the position we were in,

  I think he noticed it too 'cause he stopped struggling,

It felt like we were frozen, I was looking at him and he was looking at me, the only thing I was sure was moving was my heart, and it was moving very fast.

  All of a sudden, he was moving in, coming closer, my eyes fell close, waiting for him,

But nothing happened, after some seconds I opened my eyes to see Drew looking at me, confusion was written all over his face,

my face was red with embarrassment, "erm... I"  

oh my God!!, what am I going to say?, Why did I close my eyes!

He looked confused "Amy, d-do yo-"

He was interrupted by the voice at my room door "Amy I'm bac-"

My face jerked towards the door "Dad!!" I pushed Drew of me like he was a disease,

Dad looked between Drew and I with his mouth wide open,

I rolled further away from Drew and quickly added "it's not what it looks like"

   He blinked rapidly,

he turned to Drew and said "follow me" then he walked out.

   Oh. My. God.
